I did ask the bartender if she could make a zombie and got a reply of what the heck is that? Still cool. I'll take a beer. It's definitely a locals bar, all good. But if you are walking in solo and not from the area, this isn't the place for you. I tried to ask the bartenders name, something I do so when I go back etc and maybe to have a conversation, they were more interested in getting back to the regulars and chat. I did get it, but it was just a weird exchange. All in all, service was just fine, I got my cold beers timely as I had a few before moshing to another spot, but if I want to sit and drink alone I can do that at the hotel. If you are with a friend go in and party on! I'm really only dinging because the name is misleading. I'm guessing that was the original intention and the area just doesn't want that and so it's a shift. It's all good, just different.

They are a real hidden gem for foodies in Northwest Indiana, it's not your typical bar food. Their birria tacos and smash burgers are amazing, and they started having smoked wings on the menu that are so good. They also make their own biscuits and gravy. The quality isn't something you'd expect from the nightlife scene, it's the best kept secret in the CP Square right now.

I wanted more LOL. It was Thursday so their special on wings are $5. I also got the cheeseburger egg rolls which were Devine and the sauce that came with it gave it that extra kick. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went around 530, and the place was busy. It got super busy as dinner time rolled around. We sat at the bar and the greeted by the bartender. We ordered two drinks and two entrees to share. I had the Reyka and the Shrimp Étouffée (featured special). My husband ordered the Bedarra Old Fashioned and the Southern Fried Chicken. Our drinks were phenomenal. The presentation of mine was not what I expected. Loved the aesthetics! The Shrimp Étouffée was not one of our favorites. Shrimp was cooked to perfection but the rice and sauce ok, it was bland. The southern fried chicken was really good. It was flavorful and juicy. Definitely coming back when our daughter plays out there again. Nice place to grab a drink and a quick bite.

I ordered an American staple, a burger with fries. The burger was juicy, well seasoned, and topped with crispy bacon. The bun was soft and held everything together without falling apart. This cute restaurant is located in Crown Point, IN, and it's best to use GPS to avoid getting lost. The venue is nice and perfect for photos, with plenty of space. The bar has a lively atmosphere, and the food is good, with large portions. I ordered the Classic Smashburger and substituted the protein for an Impossible Burger. I expected to receive two patties since I had to pay an additional $4.00. While it's my choice to be a pescatarian, I still think that an extra $4.00 for a single patty is excessive, both here and at any restaurant. This brought the price of my burger from $18.00 to $22.00, which reflects the current costs of dining out. Overall, our server was really nice and accommodating. She was patient with us as we decided on what to order and even shared her favorite dishes, which helped us make our decisions. The others in my party ordered a Mushroom & Swiss Smashburger and a Tuscan Turkey Sandwich. I must say, the turkey sandwich (Shaved Oven Roasted Turkey) had so much turkey on it that it could have fed us for Thanksgiving, but we weren't complaining! It was generous, and she happily took home the leftovers. The drink we had was blah, it had peach deep eddy's, elderflower liqueur (which I love), citrus and a few other ingredients. I'll pass on that the next time, I think it had too much elderflower and not enough peach. We all enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely return when we are in the area, and I will be sure to recommend this place to my friends who live nearby. I would also consider throwing a small b-day celebration upstairs in the lounge. Thank you, Culinary Misfits, for a great lunch!

Their drinks are very reasonably priced, great selection, and made well. It's clean inside and they offer typical bar-food till around midnight on the weekends. I personally like the corn nuggets and chicken strips the best; very tasty. The bartenders are friendly and do a great job whether the bar is full or not; Meredith is a fantastic mixologist (she works on Saturday nights), so if you're looking to try something different, all her to make you something special and you will be happily surprised. The bar is non-smoking, which can be a blessing for the non-smokers. I personally do smoke, but have no problem going outside to do so; you can smoke under the covered area near the door which works for me. Overall, I just love the atmosphere of this bar; friendly, comfortable, and a lot of fun without making you feel out of place for being either too old or too young. They also have a couple of pool tables and free shuffleboard, a DJ with karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 10, and a very diverse crowd. Do yourself a favor and check the place out, cuz it's pretty great.
