My son wears a noticeably thicker lens on the left-hand side; Vogue made sure we knew which glasses could accommodate this need, and also did their best to process the lens in a way that made it as thin as possible. I don't even notice the difference between the two lenses! Vogue's "Second Pair Free" policy is good across all locations, of course, and this store is no different. One thing you may not have known is that Vogue allows children (up to age 12) to defer their second pair for up to a year from purchase. This makes a big difference when the kiddos are at an age where their head is still growing. We were able to pick up a second pair for my son this March that fit him much better than the old pair. Of course, there's also the famous Vogue repair policy; when my son's glasses snapped across the nosepiece, Vogue ordered up a replacement on the spot. It took a few days to get the new frames in, of course, but not unreasonably so. I consider Vogue to be the destination spot for glasses, due to their policies and prices. The service at this location places them a little above the other stores I've frequented.

I booked an appointment and was told that it would be $160 for an eye exam (which, already, is significantly more than most places). I explained to the receptionist that I was seeing an optometrist for a medical reason and that I wasn't interested in having my vision tested. She said she's just "the lady that answers the phone," and didn't know anything about when or how MSI could cover an optometrist appointment. She forwarded my call to another person, a manager I believe, who explained to me that as a new client it was required that everyone get an eye exam to establish a file with the clinic and that this exam was a nonnegotiable requirement. I told them I wasn't interested in an exam that I felt like I didn't need, and I was told that this was their policy. They did tell me that the exam may be cheaper depending on what was actually involved, which I appreciate, however she was similarly unable to explain to me when or how MSI covers appointments and insisted that I needed to pay for my first exam. I had her cancel my appointment. I called another optometry clinic and the receptionist there was very knowledgeable and able to explain to me in detail, and in much friendlier terms, what my options were. So, I booked an appointment with them, and worst case scenario will be saving $40 as their prices are lower. I've heard great things about Dr. Lang. It's a shame his front staff couldn't assist me.

This place is an absolute fortune and an absolute factory conveyer belt system. Everything is made as complicated as humanly possible for the client so that the doctors can spend as little time with them as possible. Instead, you have to spend tons of time with interns who are so anxious and scared, their hands shake when they put them near your eyes - and who can barely convey accurate info to the doctor that the client is not allowed to go near. My consent did not matter for any part of the process and worst of all, they didn't come close to even improving my eye problem, let alone fixing it - before I gave up on them. So I now have to go pay someone else to start all over.

I bought a pair of Oakley progressive glasses at a downtown combined optometrist/optician shop for around $750 and had a hell of a time getting used to them. I went back and was told the lenses were correct for my prescription and I should just give it time. They still suck. In contrast, I had the same prescription filled with the same quality lenses at Canadian Optical Warehouse at less than half the cost and they are perfect. Save your money and buy glasses here. I'm a fan!
