While I like the place very much, the reason I've stayed so long is one person, master trainer, MALCOLM MILTON.

Gashford's training sessions mix Muay Thai and regular weight lifting with some cardio. In only a couple months, I feel much stronger and have noticed increased focus and energy during the day after each session. He also has helped with meal planning and explains the science behind his workouts which i really appreciate. I've never really seen more than 10-15 people in the facility at a time, and as someone who hates big gyms, it's a super welcoming environments for complete newbies like myself. Upon taking a tour and listening to my goals, SevenBell placed me with Sergio who is a mobility expert and has experience training people with disabilities. In the last 7 weeks working with Sergio, I've gained more than just muscle, I've gained confidence in my body and the strength I have inside and out. He continually finds new, creative ways to push my limits and I actually look forward to what he cooks up every session, so much so that I booked sessions with him through the end of the year. I can't recommend him and SevenBell Fitness enough!

I first came in because of an offer for a first class free. My rep showed me how everything worked, including the heartbeat monitor on the arm band, which they give you for free on your first visit. An instructor walked me around the studio explaining the class format and made sure I was comfortable with water and a towel. When class started he periodically checked in with me but was not overbearing. I loved how while everyone worked out individually, seeing everyone's stats on the screen did make it feel like a team effort. I really appreciated learning about the different heart rate "zones" and later did research on this when I got home. My sales rep explained the pricing tiers yet was not pushy which I appreciated and I signed up within the week. The app made it very easy to book, see stats, etc. The club has fun challenges each month and really does have a sense of community. It was always clean and you can tell instructors here really care about the members. I only quit because I ended up moving to another neighborhood but this gym truly did change my physique while I was a member, making me stronger and noticeably had an impact on my cardio endurance. I'd recommend this gym to anyone.

They strap on a heartbeat monitor on your arms which helps to instruct you on the amount of effort that you should be giving. I really loved this idea because I'm generally at a loss of if I'm not pushing myself hard enough or what my goals should be based on my body type. The only thing is that when we were reviewing my stats, the coach noted that sometimes it doesn't register well for newbies. That was unfortunate news, because I really wanted to gain an understanding of my body. Separately, everyone is nice. check-in desk greets you with a smile. They gave a free water and towel which made me feel welcome. Lockers don't need a lock so it's convenient and shampoo/hairdryers in the women's lockers. The hip hop and rock music was great to push through the workout. Since there were no phones allowed and the biometrics on the screen, you got to focus on your personal goals without distractions. The coach offers corrections, but for the most part it's at your own pace. I already recommended to a friend.

I usually work out in the afternoons and evenings, but my schedule changed last week, so I've had to switch to mornings and early afternoons. Today, I informed a staff member that the cleaning wipes dispenser was empty and needed to be refilled. While waiting, I noticed another dispenser across the weight room and grabbed wipes from there. A few minutes later, the staff member approached me and said the dispenser wasn't empty--that the wipes had simply fallen to the bottom and I needed to look down inside to see them. She then added, in a very condescending tone, "I'm not the cleaner though," and walked away while I was still speaking. That interaction didn't sit right with me. I simply reported an issue, and the response was dismissive and unprofessional. From experience, once interactions with staff reach that point, they tend to become tense and unpleasant moving forward, so I choose to move on. I've always been respectful and pleasant, and I used to really enjoy this gym and its staff. This was my first time working out during the daytime at this location, and thankfully it will also be my last. The evening staff have always been welcoming, respectful, and helpful--completely different from what I experienced today. This used to be a great place to work out, but after today, I have no interest in returning. I'm already looking into other membership options.

But I needed to get in shape (for my wedding - cliche, yes, but a great motivator) and thought I would give FC a try. Still not sure I'd feel comfortable surrounded by super fit gym rats at, say, Crunch, but I'm much more confident in my abilities now, not to mention physically trimmer and stronger. FC has a great system, with wonderful trainers who are friendly and supportive and not at all intimidating. I only with I could train with them indefinitely! It's not cheap but definitely worth it.
