The first session was simply a conversation with the trainer solely for the purposes of learning what was important to me so they could tailor not just the workouts, but also ways to help me feel inspired as a whole person. That made me feel so special. The trainers were sure to respect and be mindful of what could seemingly be small details but were important me. That for me is priceless! The physical space itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was designed with so much intentionality that it made the workout sessions even more enjoyable. The small group sessions are lovely. They aren't overstimulating and that was key for me. Every workout session left me feeling inspired, encouraged and renewed not just physically but mentally & emotionally. Lastly, Dani, the owner and founder, is an absolute PLEASURE to do business with and her passion for mind and body fitness is evident. She wants every client to get what they need to feel empowered. She makes herself accessible and easy to communicate with either by phone, email or text. As a nurse leader, I am deeply appreciative of what she has created at Very Personal Training and will continue to do support her business not only with my own personal training but also with group training events that I will host for my clinical team and friends. This place is truly one of a kind!

I'm impressed at how efficient and configurable Nate has made this space. I hardly notice when he's setting up to have me work on the next thing. That said the equipment is basic enough that you can replicate the routines at any commercial gym. The Trainer: Nate knows his stuff! First of all I blew my lower back out doing burpees in a kickboxing class due to the recommended form. My partner who also trains with him recommended Nate to me. So we met and right away Nate evaluated me and built a 4 day workout plan that I can do on my own. Additionally, he's corrected everything I've done wrong for years and helped me isolate muscles to maximize the effectiveness of the workout. He's also introduced me to amino acids (I know...basic stuff, but not to me) he also taught me a lot of new challenging stuff and makes sure I keep up with my diaphragm exercises to strengthen my back. So far my results have been great (lost 12lbs, increased muscle mass) which is a bit of a mind trip because I'm never tired or in pain! Above all, Nate is very personable and charming! I've seen him flex his communication style to work with people all over the spectrum (a business man at heart). He's also in great shape which is aspirational and I guess what you'd want in a personal trainer. I haul my developing buns of steel 18 blocks to train with Nate, he's been worth every penny, I doubt you'll be disappointed!

I could have gone with a traditional, if not, old school physical therapist, but decided to give PhysioRX a try. I was nervous about going here though, as I'm not a super athlete or major weight lifter but figured if they had such great reviews, that I should give them a shot. I'm so glad I did! I had my phone consultation, then an in person one. I mainly worked with Connor who was an absolute joy to work with. While the approach wasn't what I expected, I am just as happy as every other reviewer. Once I did the phone and in person consult, I was equipped with an app where they assign all the exercises specifically for you. It was so easy to use. The exercises were personalized for me, and when I found ones I didn't like, they'd swap them for something else. I basically texted Connor and Will 4-5 times a week on my progress. Will, who was my secondary coach and available just as much as Connor was, and he was also awesome. Even if I didn't give them an update on how my workout went, they'd often check on me anyway. I had some weeks where I really didn't want to go to the gym, or felt very discouraged. They were there every step of the way. We even did some check in calls which I appreciated so much. I only intended on working with them for 1 month, but every time the month was finishing, I felt I had a lot of progress and continued my journey to 3 months. To be honest, I'm soooo sad to finish my 3 month stint because both of them were so great to work with, and I've seen major improvement in my leg. As someone who doesn't see themselves as an athlete by any means, their coaching really helped me get to a good place. I also realized that I was going to the gym all wrong for years. I learned so much from this experience, and kind of see my injury as a blessing in disguise as I now view rehab, exercise, and the gym in a completely different way. Thanks to Connor and Will for doing such impactful work. If I ever get injured again (although I hope not), I'll gladly reach out to PhysioRX. If you are on the fence, just book some time with them. You won't regret it!

The gold standard for sauna is 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It struggles to even get to 160. It's often at 140. This is not acceptable for a sauna. I also despise when people have taken to making it into a steam room. It's f$&ckin stupid. So to members who read this. Stop with that. You want steam go to 92nd location, they have a steam room. The point is to heat your body up and get blood flowing heart rate up and recover. Sauna is not about just getting wet and sweaty. When the sauna was renovated about 2 years ago. You also got rid of the second level , why? Some people want to be up there and get hotter. Also why is the temperature sensor inside with the sauna heater. Is there a reason why it's placed there ? The sauna will never get hot enough. If the sensor is basically next to it. I remember the original sensor before the sauna was renovated was by door. And back then the sauna, never really had stupid A holes putting water on the heater. We would police that and stop them. Please fix the sauna. Fix the sauna please. Please fix the sauna

Unfortunately for people who may not be prepared like I was on a Sunday morning at 11am, I immediately cramped up and knew I couldn't continue with class (which was a bit crowded anyway). I asked for the instructor for some help and he guided me to foam roll my calf, but alas it was really bad - hard to tell if I simply didnt stretch or if I didnt have enough water beforehand. In any case typically the body conditioning is extreme for 30 minutes and then to a bit more technique on the various bags and rotating to one on one sparring. So generally instruction is good but more advice on stretching and reduction of injury would help. Lockers should be clipped as there always seems to none available. Cleaning is also very much needed as the floor is quite bad, spit buckets filled with trash. Bring your own towel (for sweat) and water bottle.
