Marty came back relaxed and happy. His coat looked fresh and even. Nails were trimmed clean. No heavy perfume smell after. Easy drop off and pickup. Pricing felt fair. They handled him well, which matters since he can get a little nervous. We'll definitely be back.

DONT BRING YOUR DOG TO DOGGY SPA ON 15TH ST Y…read more On May 8th, 2026, I brought my dog in for what was supposed to be a simple teddy bear haircut. I handed over a happy, healthy dog and expected to pick him up looking fluffy and refreshed. Instead, I was horrified when they brought him back completely shaved down without a single warning or phone call asking for permission. I barely recognized him. Later, they contacted my family claiming my dog had red irritation bumps, but that made absolutely no sense. My dog sleeps beside me every single night, and I check him constantly -- he had never shown any signs of bumps, irritation, or skin problems before stepping foot into this place. To make matters worse, they somehow lost his collar, something I then had to replace out of my own pocket. When I brought my dog home, his entire personality had changed. He seemed withdrawn, miserable, and deeply uncomfortable, nothing like the playful dog I dropped off earlier that day. His condition worried me so much that I rushed him to the vet, where I was given medicated cream for his irritated skin. Then, two days later, I discovered a black mark on his ear that suddenly began bleeding heavily. It genuinely looked as though he had been cut during the grooming process. Seeing my dog in pain and bleeding was heartbreaking and infuriating. When I confronted the owner about everything that had happened, she denied every single concern and refused to take any responsibility. The entire experience was upsetting, stressful, and traumatic for both me and my dog. If you truly care about your pet's safety and well-being, I strongly urge you to think twice before bringing them here. I will absolutely never trust this place with my dog again.

My family had been going to Diamond Dog Grooming for about 11 years (2011-2022) and it is only now…read morethat I am making this review, so please forgive me for such a delay. It is important to note that I had ample time to think over Lisa's services, and when I remembered her business, I knew I just had to say something before I let more time pass by! I have quite a sharp memory and can still provide specific details on what makes Diamond Dog Grooming a wonderful place that will make your furry companion look and feel incredible. Before I dive into my review, I must offer context about the customer that would become a regular at Diamond Dog Grooming: Oscar was a scared little pup that was abandoned by a cruel woman who left him at a groomer's in New York, and shortly afterwards, that establishment literally went up in flames. The poor guy survived the fire and was taken to a shelter, where he needed to find an owner quickly or else he'd be euthanized. It would've been the end of the road for him, if not for my mother. She invited Oscar into our home as he trembled in her arms on a freezing January evening; his ribs were poking out of his fur, as he was a timid skeleton too afraid to even sleep in front of anyone. It took months before he was healthy enough to bring to a new groomer, and we made sure it was one that was reliable enough to care for our new best friend. When I visited Diamond Dog Grooming for the first time, I noticed the sweet smell in the air that I would later know to be some kind of treatment that Lisa would provide my dog that would have him smelling like fresh laundry. We were greeted warmly by her, and while I can't say much for her prices (my mom handled all the payments), I will say that they were reasonable enough for the average middle to lower class family in New Jersey. We would drop off Oscar at Lisa's and specify exactly what services we wanted. Around the early afternoon or so, we'd get a call that he was ready to be picked up and that was it- nothing more complicated than that. The parking outside was a bit difficult, but it was worth it to see just how much our dog had glowed after his visit. Oscar's fur was always freshly trimmed, eye crust wiped, and tail wagging with joy. The place itself was very neat, with all dogs properly restrained to prevent them from running off. Sometimes, you can walk in to see one of them being pampered on a table- it's the cutest thing! Even around holidays, Lisa gifted Oscar with a special item like a toy or bowtie. I never doubted that she deeply loved him and her work. Nearing the end of his life, Lisa noticed his behavioral changes where he struggled to sit still for grooming, snapping at her. Because of this, the services couldn't always be provided, but Lisa wouldn't charge my mom for that day. After Oscar passed, Lisa was visibly heartbroken, and it was evident that my dog was one of her most beloved customers. My mother visited for the last time to gift Lisa with a keychain that I made for her that had a photo of Oscar smiling in the park, so she could always remember his face. I'm very glad I was capable of providing closure for a lady that cherished my dear, furry friend. I cannot say a single negative thing about Diamond Dog Grooming. In all the years I've stopped by, I've been met with great customer service. Even better was how Oscar evolved from being frightened and antisocial to friendly and peaceful in Lisa's care. It used to baffled me when she'd say how he was such an angel when I knew him to be very aggressive. Yet over time, I saw the effects she had on him show up within the household. I thank Lisa and her team for providing consistent care to Oscar, and making his last days more beautiful than I could've imagined. Diamond Dog Grooming is truly a gem of a spot that anyone would be lucky to find.

Unfortunately what I thought were adorable curls were actually mats. I tried to comb, cut and clip myself which was not flattering to poor Ellie. Lisa took one look at her, fell in love (because she's the sweetest dog) and knew just what to do. There was no undue waiting or stress for the dog. It's one at a time, with total attention paid to the dog and a lot of care taken. Ellie came home cut way down and I got instructions on how to care for her coat until her next grooming which will absolutely be with Lisa. The price was really fair and I highly recommend Diamond Dog Grooming! (UPDATE: We've been back a bunch of times and Lisa is always great and Ellie comes out looking like a model!)

We didn't have a great experience with Velvet Dog Spa from the very beginning. However, because so…read moremany people kept telling us how wonderful it was, we decided to give it another chance and brought our grand-puppy back. Unfortunately, our experiences since then have only gone downhill. We have consistently found the owner, Iris, to be extremely rude--something I now see echoed in many other reviews. What's even more concerning is that instead of addressing feedback professionally, Iris often comes on here to publicly bash and attack the people who leave negative reviews. There have also been serious concerns about the services provided. On more than one occasion, we were told our dogs' anal glands were done, only to take them to the vet shortly after and be told they had not been done at all. The final straw was the last visit. Our grand-puppy was absolutely terrified. She was shaking, refusing to go inside, and essentially had to be dragged in. Dogs are incredibly good judges of character--and when a normally trusting puppy is that scared, something is clearly amiss. That alone spoke volumes. If puppies could talk, I truly believe they'd tell us everything we need to know. And go ahead, Iris--I'm waiting for you to come back at me, because I know you will. All that will do is further prove exactly how rude and unprofessional you actually are. Based on our repeated experiences, we will not be returning, and I would urge others to trust their instincts--especially when it comes to the care and comfort of their pets.

I took my chances with You Lucky Dog and they were able to accommodate Benji (6 month old Cockapoo) for a Full Spa Package. I received a text message the day before that they had to switch the time from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. The place shares space with a Vet company. They are cage free. Gina greeted my sister & I when we dropped Benji off. She made me feel comfortable leaving him. We briefly reviewed what he was getting done and we were told to expect to get him in about 2.5 hrs. They charged my sister by phone to limit contact. She was able to add tip as well. My sister was a bit surprised that the total with tip was $93 as the website has the full package starting at $65.00. It is pricier than the other places we had in mind. Overall (4.5 stars), we were happy with Benji's look and cleanliness (just look at the picture!). We have plans on checking one other place before deciding which will be Benji's go to groomer.
