The vet is very knowledgeable but also flexible, and gives you a real opinion on what is actually important and what isn't necessary. This is a big deal for a family on a budget. They think I'm dramatic cause I'm a first time dog owner 2- I had multiple incidents that warranted a visit I never seemed too concerned or worried 3- you're not supposed to give dogs heartworm medication until you've done blood work to see if they have heart warmer not. The only way to know if a dog has her heartworm is through bloodwork. Giving a dog heartworm medication without knowing if they have heartworm or not can be deathly to them. I have taken numerous pets to this pet clinic. Dr.Stancil is very caring and compassionate. He is also very knowledgeable about reptiles and exotics and he treats them with love and caring. I drive over an hour to bring my reptiles here to see Dr. Stancil as I trust him explicitly. He even found and diagnosed gall stones in my bearded dragon and he performed surgery to take them out and my dragon starting eating better then she ever had almost immediately after surgery. I used to love it there because #1 the doctors and staff absolutely treat your animals with care and love. I feel safe bringing my animals there, however, they want payment up front. Even if it's $1000+. Some places I found recently try to work with you. Like take a lump sum and then smaller payments from there. It isn't the end of the world but not everyone has that kind of money at once it helps! I also think they try to make you do a lot of unncessesary procedures so they can make more money. Other people who have been there have told me the same thing. I swear every visit I go to costs at least $400. The office visit is I believe $62. They make you feel guilty like you need these things done when sometimes it isn't really needed. They also seem to have a big turnaround for doctors. Dr. Cruppi is AMAZING. he is so sweet, doesn't rush you through the appointment and follows up by calling you the next day to see how your animal is doing. He is the only saving grace in that place. read more

Brought my dog here for a hurt leg, the doctor had no idea what was going on with it... it's like he guessed and assumed, he prescribed medication that did not work and gave me the wrong syringes and got charged. Brought my dog again because he didn't feel better and the doctor still had no idea what was going on, gave me a referral and charged me for a visit again. I just wanted to mention how disgusted I am that there are people out there that just care about making money. I dont mind paying these ridiculous prices but at least do your job correctly. Both times he had no idea what was going on... now I have to go to another vet because i wasted my time and money here after bringing my pup here since he was a baby. From the first phone call with the very friendly receptionist, to the very thorough visit with dr Crupi. I am giving it a four instead of 5 as I am a new patient (well my cat is). Overall it was a great experience, got an appointment quick and didn't have to wait long to be seen. Everyone was extremely friendly, with the exception of one of the receptionists who was a bit cold and unfriendly. The vet who treated my cat was super nice and spent a lot of time with me and my cat. He was very helpful land took the time to answer all my questions. He called me the very next day to go over my cats. Test results and again spent time discussing her health and explaining and answering many questions.my cat is back to her regular self and feeling much better. It was a little bit above average price wise but not overly expensive and the treatment given made up for it. I plan to continue with this vet and will also be bringing my new puppy in. :) read more

Over the holidays this year, our dog got very (and very mysteriously) sick. I'll spare you the gory details. But having visited another local vet and found them lacking in sensitivity (and prone to overcharging), we brought our dog-baby to Dog, Cat, Bird clinic. We saw Dr. Krick. This place and this doctor proved to be nothing short of outstanding. The premises are clean and thoughtfully decorated--in other words, it doesn't have that cold antiseptic feel of most vets. And Dr. Krick and all of the support staff were wonderful and inquisitive. Yeah you read that right! Not only did they care about our dog but they always asked about her condition and course of treatment. And eventually, our little monster-darling of a doggie got better! Those of you with animals know what a huge huge relief it is to find an excellent vet you can trust with your loved one. Well this is it for us. The staff at the Dog Cat & Bird Clinic are great! I take both my cat and my dog there, and my dog is always so happy to go! If I even say "Do you want to go to the vet?" he gets so excited, and pulls me inside once we're there! The front desk staff is always helpful with delivering messages to the doctors and getting back to you, and we never have a tough time getting an appointment quickly. The vet techs are all friendly as well. If you have pet insurance (we have VPI), you just need to give them a blank claim form and they will submit the claim for you! My dog has seen Dr. Crupi, Dr. Krick and Dr. Stancel and loved all three of them. You can tell that they absolutely love animals at this hospital and they shower my pup with love, which of course he reciprocates! The doctors having lots of cheese probably helps. :) They handle Jesse gently and in turn, he's never nervous or misbehaving. Around Christmastime last year, my dog was sick and the DCB Clinic was closed, so we took him to an emergency clinic that evening. The next morning, Dr. Crupi called me to make sure that Jesse was okay and to talk about next steps. I was NOT expecting that and thought it was great that he would go above and beyond for a patient that he didn't even see for that particular issue. Recently, my dog had been having other issues and I've been working closely with Dr. Krick to pinpoint what the issue is. Dr. Krick calls often to check on Jesse, returns messages quickly, and is really clear with what he explains to you about why he is choosing a certain treatment for your pet. He even saw me after the clinic was closed because he knew we were on a tight schedule and Jesse was having an episode. He also did not charge me when he had to re-run a test. What we're going through hasn't been cheap, but I will pay anything to make sure my fur babies are happy and healthy. read more
