It's very clear how much the staff knows, and how deeply they care about every single dog that walks through their doors. Over the past few months, this is the fourth daycare we've tried for our dog. The first one we chose to leave. The next two either wouldn't accept her or ultimately asked her not to return. Our dog is an over 80-lb American Bully, and she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. We started daycare and boarding when she was about 8 months old. At nearly 50 lbs already, she was placed with the large dogs. In this large group play, the challenge wasn't aggression; it was that she was young, playful, and didn't always understand when another dog didn't want to engage. Two facilities told us they couldn't keep her in group play because other dogs would become reactive when she missed social cues and it wasn't safe for them or the dogs. After the second rejection, we reached out to friends and were highly encouraged to try Pet-U-Cation. We were told upfront that the training and care are exceptional, but as a small business with limited overhead and office staff, communication can sometimes require patience (which has also been our experience). Her evaluation went great. After two day-training sessions, she became a regular at daycare, and she absolutely loves it! The growth we've seen in her socialization and ability to read other dogs has been incredible. It's also reinforced the training we're doing at home and helping her overall learning and development (consistency really is key). We love that there is no more coming home from daycare with newly acquired bad habits.

As someone who has worked here and QUIT:…read more Employees were expected to handle large numbers of dogs under extremely stressful conditions, and I witnessed dogs being roughly handled and verbally mistreated. Dogs were called names (bitches) and spoken to in ways that I found completely unacceptable for a business whose entire reputation is supposed to revolve around caring for animals. When I was first hired, the staff did not give me the required safety and training video. From my experience, there was no apparent urgency to make sure I actually received or completed the training before being put to work. It came across to me as pure, unadulterated laziness and negligence. The treatment of employees was just as disturbing. We were not allowed to sit down, even during long periods of physically exhausting work. I eventually passed out on the concrete floor in the large-dog section. When I fell, my eyeglasses went into my face so hard that they left a visible indentation and caused bleeding. One of the moments that really shocked me was when I specifically asked what I was supposed to do if dogs got into a fight. I expected a clear answer or established safety procedure, especially in a workplace responsible for supervising groups of dogs. Instead, the response I received was essentially, "Shit, I don't know." That was extremely concerning to me. When you're responsible for multiple dogs in an environment where fights can happen, employees should know exactly what protocol to follow before an emergency occurs. Being met with "I don't know" when asking a basic safety question made me question how prepared the staff actually were to handle a serious incident. The incident was visible on camera, and a coworker's mother witnessed what happened through the camera footage. Despite the seriousness of what happened, I received no meaningful assistance. Instead, when I regained consciousness and attempted to get out of the pen on my own, the dogs got out. Rather than checking whether I was injured or making sure I was okay after literally passing out and hitting my face, the focus was on the dogs having "escaped." I was then told to take a ten-minute "break." The entire response made me feel as though they believed I was exaggerating or faking what had happened rather than dealing with an actual medical incident. The owner's retarded son was present during the incident and, in my experience, did nothing to assist me. There were also serious concerns about the way people were treated. I personally experienced and witnessed behavior that I considered racially insensitive and discriminatory, and I found the owner's conduct toward certain people deeply bigoted and unacceptable. These are not the values I would expect from a workplace or a business serving the public. I would strongly encourage anyone considering employment here or dropping off your animals, to ask detailed questions about employee and pet safety, breaks, incident procedures, and how both employees and animals are treated when nobody is watching. Additionally, Neil (if currently employed at this location) is in desperate need of some proper oral hygiene. Perhaps a trip to the orthodontist, or the use of this Listerine (the strongest I could find) that I've attached below. No one should have to deal with that torture in the workplace.

He had me barking at my dog, throwing water balloons at my dog, and throwing a mini "bean bag" not at, but towards my dog; none of which were useful. My fiance and I told him on 3 separate occasions face-to-face that him coming for 15-20 minutes was not enough and we needed him to spend more time with our dog, and he did not do that so we just stopped communicating with him. UPDATE 5/29/2021 I felt the need to update my review. Dr. Y…read morepotentially saved my dogs life. During my dogs yearly bloodwork, some of his levels came back outside of the recommended ranges. Dr. Y suggested doing an ultrasound on his spleen to make sure nothing more serious was occurring. Well, he found a mass on his spleen that was potentially bleeding. I was able to get my dog in for emergency surgery the next day and was able to have his spleen removed BEFORE it ruptured. Dr. Y's thoroughness saved my dog from a potential horrendous emergency situation. I've said below, but he truly cares about the animals. The staff at Padonia is extremely incredible and they always give so much love to my boy. ******************* I moved into the area about 6 months ago and was lucky to find Dr. Youssef at Padonia Veterinary Hospital. He's helped me NUMEROUS times. I rescued a kitten who was misdiagnosed at Banfield Hospital and almost passed away (his weight went from 2.2lbs down to 1.2lbs). Dr. Youssef put him on medication and provided guidance that helped me save this little dude. He's now a healthy, happy, 5mo kitten. If it wasn't for Dr. Youssef, I'm sure he wouldn't have made it. In addition, my 150lb dog has been to Padonia multiple times from limping, to thyroid medication refills, to an ulcer on his eye. Padonia is always there for me. They've fit me in last minute on multiple occasions, they've been available to answer my thousand questions, and they've stuck around late to make sure I had medication. I can't speak highly enough about Padonia. I left an incredible vet and was worried I'd never find the same thing again. I was wrong. Padonia has been beyond incredible. The assistants that work here are incredible, they'll love your animals as much as you do and they'll remember you by name. Their prices are some of the fairest that I've seen. Padonia is also the type of vet that will not ask you to do unnecessary procedures or give your animals unnecessary vaccines/medicine. I'd also like to mention that Padonia has some of the fairest prices that I've seen. I highly recommend Padonia Veterinary Hospital to those of us that love our animals more than we can even explain.
