When we returned at 6 they hadn't even started on our dogs and informed us it would be another 2 hours or that we could opt to bring them back today at 2 p.m. August 25, 2019 @ 2 p.m.: Against our better judgement we returned with our dogs because we drive a truck and really needed them groomed before leaving to go back on the road. Upon arrival we stood out front for more than 30 mins waiting for them to open. During the wait an employee sat in her car as two other customers came to pick up their pet from an over night stay with Obedient By Nature. She made no attempt to make them aware of why they weren't open and kept playing on her phone.There was also another customer waiting that had a 2 p.m. apartment for grooming. We finally got fed up and left after more than 35 minutes of this and called Bark Avenue Mobile Grooming. Who is coming to us to provide the exact same service for the exact same price. But I found that the cut wasn't blended in a lot of places. Harsh lines and uneven trim throughout. Even long hairs sticking out where it was meant to be trimmed down. My dog had a soft teddy face and lots of hair beforehand, now I have to be patience until it grows back out. A harsh reminder that trust is earned. I wouldn't recommend this groomer, but Christy's sanitary cuts seem standard good, along with nail trimming.

However, when I returned to pick them up, I was presented with a bill of nearly $600. When I questioned the difference, the employee who assisted me at drop-off acknowledged that multiple prices had been discussed but could not remember the exact amount she quoted when I made the decision to board my dogs. Rather than taking responsibility for the confusion or attempting to resolve the situation reasonably, management and several staff members came out and insisted that I pay an amount that was significantly higher than what I had been quoted. The interaction quickly became confrontational and unprofessional. The manager was rude, dismissive, and even threatened to call the police because I did not want to leave without my dogs while trying to understand why I was being charged hundreds of dollars more than expected. Businesses that care about their customers should honor quoted prices or at least work toward a fair resolution when there is a clear discrepancy. Instead, I was met with hostility and a complete lack of customer service. Based on my experience, I found the pricing practices misleading, the staff unprofessional, and management unwilling to take accountability. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend leaving your pets in the care of this facility.
