We were looking for a local groomer for the new addition to our family. Our girl is very nervous in new situations and around other dogs, so we were hoping Puddles and Pups would be a good place for her. Let me share my experience: The Good- - everyone was very friendly and enjoyed their place of work. - communication in setting up an appointment was good - the groomer seemed knowledgeable and had our dog's best interests in mind when discussing the type of services and cut needed - the groomer handled our nervous girl calmly - our pup looked good when we picked her up The Not So Good- - no one except customers were wearing masks - the reception area is small so when three people were bringing dogs at the same time, it made social distancing very difficult. - I was told it would take 3-4 hours. I got a call at the 4 hour mark telling me because another dog was taking longer my dog wold be a while longer to get done. - my dog was there for almost 6 hours. She was completely exhausted from her stressful day. Conclusion: While my dog was cared for, I'm not sure the good outweighs the bad. I'm thinking I may try a different route next time to see how the experiences compare. read more

I brought my dog in to be groomed this morning. A new girl named "Philly" came out to get my dog and I found her to be a little unpleasant. That was my first impression. I told her I did not want my dog buzzed or cut too short but not too long. She stated she would just buzz where she can't comb out. I said I rather her not be buzzed if she can 1000% help it. She mentioned a dematting fee which I am aware of. Anyways, I go to pick up Amber, I pay and then she is brought out to me. Now, let me rewind a bit. This business has had 2 amazing groomers who I loved and had excellent communication skills, Hannah and Kohleen. They would always communicate with me if they had to shorter or anything of the sorts. This girl, Philly brings Amber out and I stated that she as a bit too short and she said "I'll make a note for next time". I said "you might has well buzzed her". I wasn't entirely happy and wish it was communicated with me. I said "well you only charged me a $10 dematting fee so she must have not been that bad" She tried to tell me she was matted ALL OVER which I 100% do NOT believe. I leave and get home and I noticed Amber had NO bandana or bows like she's always had in the past. So I wanted to call and let the owner, Teresa, know about my experience and how I wasn't too thrilled with my first impression of Philly. This woman precedes to GASLIGHT me and tells me "well the reason I put you with Philly is because NO ONE wants to do your dog" I asked her what she meant and she said "she is always matted and you always have something to complain about" I HAVE NEVER COMPLAINED. EVER. This was my first time ever expressing a frustration I had and I told her I have never complained and loved how Sassy, Kohleen, and Hannah would cut my dogs hair and they were always so nice. She stated that she did not want me as a customer anymore and I hung up on her. This owner is insane. Read the not so great reviews. Honestly no wonder she can't keep the really good and professional groomers and they always leave. The last 2 times I have called to make an appointment she can never find my information and says "are you a new client?" I have been there 10 times!! This place has a high turnover of great groomers, which is a major red flag. I won't be returning and don't recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pet's well-being. read more

They took great care of my Golden Doodle puppy Benni! He took to his new groomer immediately and they told me what they were going to do and when to be back. They called me as soon as he was ready and even gave us a holiday card with the cutest picture inside. I will be back & will continue to update my review. I'm expecting it to be consistent based on the informal conversation I had with reception when I booked my appointment! read more

This was Jersey Autumn my 8month old Cockapoo's first time at Puddles and Pups. She has HIGH anxiety, very High. She's afraid of everything and she has separation anxiety as well. However, Josh took very good care of her. I know it was a lot but he was patient and he did an Awesome job on her mini groom. I truly appreciate it. I Love how clean the place is and how nice everyone was. If I could give them a 10 I would. Thank you for taking care of my baby. read more

The owner has now tried to say that my review was a lie and that my dog WAS groomed, so I am posting screenshots to show that she was not in the salon for serval hours, and even though she claims that she "gave her a full groom," they texted me explicitly saying that they cannot continue her groom if she is pregnant. The time stamps on the texts show that they stopped working on her at 10:19, and again, she was not even bathed; so clearly was was not given the full service I was charged for. read more

Today I had an appointment for my son's service dog which has been on the book for months. I was supposed to be here early as it was understood by Teresa that he needed to come in before other dogs. I received a call from a groomer stating that she was going to be late (9am). We are in the parking lot since 8 and drove from Woodstock. The groomer who called had no idea he is a service dog and also had no clue what was to be done on him. This does not ease my mind about a 42k dog being groomed by this location. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Puddles & Pups. My dog is a highly anxious Goldendoodle and we have been through numerous groomers who would just shave her down and move on with their day. However, this place has gone above and beyond! Brie has been our groomer since day 1 and has been nothing but patient and kind with my dog. She treats her as though she is her own and Bailey even gets excited when I say " We are going to see Ms. Brie." Recently, we moved about 30 minutes away but still commute for appointments because it is the only place my dog or I trust. The entire staff, including the owner, Theresa have been a gem! We love this place and would 1000% recommend it to anyone! read more
