My sister found this place to take our dogs. 2 Gorgeous purebread Yorkies. They turned 2 beautiful fluffy yorkies into mini schnauzers with really thin, uneven haircuts. We told the lady when we got there that we didn't want the hair cut too short and wanted more of a teddybear shape trim for them. If you didn't understand, a simple google search would have showed you exactly what we wanted. Not to mention, my puppy wouldnt let anything touch her hands. Come to find out her nail was split and either that or her nails being too short was causing her pain. This was their first haircut and We had hoped to find a really dedicated and caring place for them to be regulars, but this was quite the opposite. This experience has definitely ruined grooming for us. Won't be letting anyone cut their hair after this. Included the before and after pictures. read more

Since we are new to the area, I was determined to find a pet hotel near our house so that I wouldn't have to drive all the way back to dunwoody for the Petsmart pets hotel. So thankful that I found this place! So to keep this short and sweet, I have 2 dogs and normally pay over $400-500 just to board them at Petsmart which include going outside 2x a day and sleeping in a room full of cages. Pet resort has a yard on the side of the building separated every 10 or so feet so that each dog can go outside and play without being bothered by that other dog that isn't quite happy his owner left him with strangers. And guess what? This happens 4x a day. Each room (note that I didn't say cage) has a TV, a bed and a camera so that you can watch them while you're out of town. And yes, the TV is always on so that the dogs feel right at home *stares at my husband*. All this for less than $200 for the same number of nights I keep them at Petsmart. OH! And let's not forget the women who work there! They are sooooo sweet and you can tell they truly love these dogs. For the first time ever, my dogs were not crying to get away. This is definitely my new go to for pet boarding. I would recommend them to everyone. read more

This is THE BEST boarding facility we've ever used! We had to leave our girls while we facilitated a cross-country move, so they were here for five weeks! I don't think I could have handled it emotionally, except that they were treated like royalty here. They received a lot of attention and love! One of our girls is very, very skittish (took her months to warm up to us after we adopted her) but she LOVED the employees here. They let us visit whenever we wanted. There's plenty of space out back for dogs to play. The rooms have web cams so you can check in on your dog, whenever. They really treated our babies like family, and we'll never be able to thank them enough! read more

I called this place to inquire about dog grooming for my Siberian Husky, and I was SHOCKED at their response. They told me they would not bathe my Husky because it was too much hair to deal with! Considering I own a Husky, I truly understand how the hair is a nuisance and it takes more work than other breeds, but to turn away business because it is "too much work" is a BAD BUSINESS MODEL. I was not even given the option to pay extra for the extra work! Their lack of accommodation is very revealing to me that they are lazy, have poor work ethic, and prioritize poorly. Considering this, I would NOT recommend their services to any pet owner, and even if they were to reach out to me to rectify this, I would refuse as I do not trust they would put forward the effort to do a thorough job. read more

I wish I didn't even have to give them one star. ZERO stars in my book. My poor pup was dropped off on a Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm and picked up the following Sunday at 7:00pm. My husband picked him up and said when he arrived, he was clearly covered in pee and so wet they had to bathe him before he could bring him home. They claim he peed in his concrete room multiple times because the dog next to him was in heat but we've had this dog for 6 years and he doesn't have accidents like that. I suspect they didn't take him out much. He also is CLEARLY VERY WEAK!!! Upon pick up my husband noted he didn't jump up but did a half jump when he showed up as he normally would. When I arrived home he did the same to me. This is when I noticed the difference in behavior. Laying around, not excited, barely barking. My baby usually jumps on the bed, the couch, and higher resting areas in the house. He will not run up the stairs and he's being very cautious about his back legs. He tried to jump on our bed which is not elevated and has been struggling to pull his hind legs up so badly that it's bumping the frame and sometimes he can't even make it up there!!!!! To make matters worse, He ALSO has a very irritated and blood shot right eye and he has been scratching at it and rubbing it. He can barely open the eye and it has discharge!!! ALSO The top and front of his nose has been rubbed to pink skin AND IS BADLY SCABBED!!! ALSO I have gone to touch him on occasion just to pet him and he jumps like he's about to get hit!!! It seems like someone may have abused him! I didn't have good enough signal and WiFi where I was vacationing to log in and look at their cameras but they only have cameras in the rooms and they assured us they would take him out to play 4 times per day.... He clearly has been cooped up in their room for a long time. Who knows what happened outside in the yards they have. MARK MY WORDS I WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS MATTER. Me and my husband cried after seeing him like this. You can tell he is happy to feel safe at home again but has no strength to express his excitement. We take him for walks every day and he is an active and playful dog! He can't seem to run or do any normal activities...... I will never bring my dog here again. EVER. The friendly folks at Royal Pet Resort really do treat my dogs like royalty. They love the special care that they receive when they stay at Royal Pet Resort. I know they are in good hands and have fantastic accommodations while staying with them. The rooms are always impeccably clean, sanitized, and their dog walk area in the back is well kept. They get a treat every time they go out, and have wonderful Kuranda dog beds for them to enjoy while in their suites. Oh, and each room is equipped with TV and satellite channels for the pups. They also have web-cams in every room so you can check in with them from time to time to see how your dog is doing. They also do grooming, although I have not utilized these services yet. They seem to have good business with this service, because there is a steady stream of folks flowing through with their dogs that are in for grooming. I really do love these people and never worry about my dogs. I know they are in good hands! read more

I have been bringing my babies here to be groomed for at least the last 2-3 years. I have three Scottish Terriers and they can be hmmm...let's say "temperamental". The groomers at Royal Pet handle my babies like they were their own pups. When my kids come home they are not stressed out or cranky so I know they have been treated very well while they are receiving their beauty treatments. My youngest has epilepsy. He has seizures once in a while. Royal pet accepted him with open arms. The last time I went to pick him up, he ran away from me and didn't want to leave! That a good sign as far as I was concerned! The prices are reasonable compared to most of the other groomers in Paulding county. I have been a customer for over 7 years at Royal Pet Resort...I use their groomer Kristi who is amazing to my Havanese Rowdy!! Yes, his name fits him and everyone at RPR is always happy to see him! They are kind and I never have to worry about Rowdy when he is there being groomed or boarded.... I do have to give an amazing shout out to their groomers( especially Kristi) they give so much time and comfort to each animal they groom....Rowdy is never afraid to stay and is always happy to see Kristi. Boarded my dog for 10 days. An owner knows when their dog has been treated well and my dog was! Highly recommend.

First my pets were taken care of ok. But...the rooms are more like a jail cell. They have windows on the door, but the dogs can't see out. There are no windows for the animals to see outside. My pets could care less about Animal Planet TV and more about going outside to run and play. The animals are let out for about 5 to 10 minutes and then put back in the room. The people are nice. But four 5 to10 minute breaks from the "cell" only adds up to about 20 minutes per 12 hour day outside. That does not give the animals any time to run, play and be an animal. Not impressed with this locations way of doing things. Prisoners get more outside time then these innocent animals. Pet paradise lets the animal play 20 to 40 minutes each time outside. I wish there were more of those around or that this place would have longer potty breaks. I think they are under staffed and that makes them have to rush the dogs out and run them back in. Either under staffed or lazy.. not sure which. But the animals need out of those little rooms more than just a few minutes a day. read more
