Walked in around 2:30 pm on a total snow day and basically had the place to myself, which was kind of perfect. The vibe inside is exactly what I want in a bar: dark, moody, a little sexy, with dim lighting and rich wood tones. Total escape from the bland strip-mall parking lot outside. Night-and-day difference the second you step through the door. Happy hour runs every day until 6 pm (huge win), so I grabbed the Toasted & Roasted martini for $9--yes, it comes with a toasted marshmallow garnish that actually works--and it was dangerously good. Sweet, smoky, strong... one of those drinks you sip slowly because you don't want it to end. Paired it with the buffalo chicken sliders + fries and demolished everything. Sliders were spicy without being overkill, sauce was on point, and the fries were perfectly crispy. Service was friendly and quick even though it was quiet, and the bartender checked in just the right amount. Prices felt fair (especially with happy hour), and the whole experience just felt... cool. Like the kind of neighborhood spot you brag about finding. Already texted my local friends that they've been sleeping on this place. My son had the Curd Burger (a burger with Bacon/cheese/cheese curds/ranch, and he substituted his cheese) - it was large and the cheese curds were fried, hot, and delicious. The burger held together well and the serving of fries was very large. I had the Spicy Frisco Melt with tots. The burger was full of flavor - spicy but not super hot and very filling. Again, the side order of tots was very large. The restaurant had plenty of space and lots of TVs to watch the game (in our case, it was the World Cup). A hidden gem and worth a visit!
