I used to take my 2 Bichons here for years. Then one of their groomers cut my male dog's hair & she cut a hole in his armpit & no one told me. I got home & he kept licking his arm pit. When I looked & saw a hole that showed his bone, I rushed him to my Vet. He needed surgery ASAP. The surgery cost $900.00. I called them & they agreed to pay for it. STUPID ME, I continued to take my dogs there, put always checked them out when they came home. The next time something happened was my male dog came home with an Ear full of Blood. I took him to my vet & he cleaned his ear & told me they PLUCKED the hair out of his ear instead of shaving it. My vet bill was $200.00. This time when I called them, I got a LECTURE FROM THEM, NO APPOLOGY, just insulted for not calling them first. I told them I had tried to call but no one answered the phone. I heard about how they had to pay $900.00 for the hole their groomer put in my dog under his arm, like it was my fault, & they would NOT PAY AGAIN! Well guess what, my attorney disagreed with them as did my Vet. My Vet did put in his notes that the cause of my dogs sever ear bleeding was caused by them PLUCKING his hair in his ears. My Vet also told me not to take my dogs back there as any good groomer knows to NOT PLUCK THE HAIR FROM A DOG'S EARS, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO CAREFULLY SHAVE A DOGS EAR HAIR! I never went back & went on a hunt for GREAT GROOMER this time around. I made appointments with various groomers & this time I interviewed them. I told them what had happened at this place & they were shocked that this place PLUCKED HAIR OUT OF DOGS EARS, instead of carefully shaving them. I was also told this Grooming place is known for these types of careless injury to our beloved pets. I now have a GREAT GROOMER & the SAME groomer does my dogs every time I take them there. Now instead of Dogs wanting to run out the door back to me, they happily go in to their New Groomer. Not only does she do a better job, but she also cost a lot less than what I was paying "Dogs in Suds." My suggestion to everyone going to this place is to GET OUT BEFORE THEY HURT YOUR DOGS! Go & interview other groomers before you send your Fur Babies back to this chamber of horrors, my Breeders warned me about places like this - BEWARE & RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE BEFORE THEY HURT YOUR PETS & THEY NEVER TELL YOU ABOUT HOW SEVER THEY CUT YOUR PETS - also check your pets from head to toe when you bring them home from this EVIL place! read more

Honestly- it was ok at first, second time terrible. My dogs trim was really bad. My Pomeranian never looked the same after. Her fur never grew back right. In fact she came down with a terrible skin condition after, and lost her fur. Very sad. They may have dipped her in something, i don't know. But the dog never recovered. I went down there and called. BUYER BEWARE We were a customer of 10 years, but after injuring my dog & taking no responsibility for doing so, I will never step foot in that place again. I understand mistakes happen & am accepting; however, after her WAY too short of a haircut, we had to bring her to the Vet to see if we could do anything about the bleeding. I was a satisfied customer of this establishment for about a year. However, after my last visit, I discovered a cut within a clipper mark on my dog that appeared might have occurred during grooming. Thereafter, my dog became lethargic, and on a visit to the vet I learned my dog had a slipped spinal disc. The vet suggested the slipped disc might have occurred as the result of a fall. I never saw my dog fall, and I became concerned a fall might have occurred during grooming (which I was not present to observe). I called the owner and politely inquired whether my dog had fallen or was cut during grooming. The call was passed over to my groomer, who cut me off halfway through my description of the issues to say all issues must have been pre-existing. I have been taking my babies/dogs to Dogs and Suds for over 20 years. They have taken care of all my dogs thru the years. They have always done a fantastic job and completed every task with professionalism. I know that when I pick up my babies they will look and smell wonderful! They keep notes on ur pets so they r aware of ur wants and likes. For instance, I am not a fan of bows, except at Christmas and one of my babies needs the fur on her ears thinned every time. WOW we took Frank & Ruby to see their favorite Groomer today (as we have for the past 7 years) and they go crazy with excitement when we are walking them inside. They love Renee & have always been treated like royalty and come out looking all shiny clean & brand new! They foster Dogs and do wonderful things for animals and really care! We were lucky enough to have adopted Ruby there (AKA Beatrice of the bare naked ladies who were 4 dogs in real bad shape hoping for homes) , at a fund raiser for Breast Cancer they sponsored. This place cares so much for all animals and we love it! Not sure what those bad reviews are about but I have learned you take them with a grain of salt. People exaggerate so much and try to give a wonderful family owned business a bad name when not warranted. DON'T EVER GO HERE! I brought my dog in a couple of weeks ago and she was returned with TWO CUTS (one on her neck and one on her arm pit.)My dog is very well-behaved and accustomed to being groomed as she has been groomed since she was 2 months old. The employees did not disclose any of the cuts, which bled when we got home. One of the cuts broke the skin to the point where it had to scab over!!! I called Dog in Suds the next morning and left a message. The owner Darcy called me back and wanted me to bring her in so she could look at her and claimed she had a powder to help. She said that my dog was "heavily" matted and that's the reason she was cut. First, my dog wasn't heavily matted, she had some matted spots but definitely nothing excessive! The arm pits I can see would be a tricky spot, but on her neck? There's no reason a blade should cut there! Especially since her neck wasn't matted! Second, her complete lack of apology and willingness to accept any responsibility is unacceptable. That phone call was followed by a phone call from the actual groomer Cindy who called to apologize. She seemed genuinely sorry but she had to have known she cut my dog twice! Cindy offered me a complimentary brush and bath which I refused. I asked for a refund and was told that Darcy was the only one authorized to give refunds. Darcy did not call me back but instead wrote me an email. This is the exact text from Darcy's email: "It is not our policy to refund money on matted dogs. [My dog] has been matted three out of the four times she has been here. This time the matting was extremely close and tight to the skin. We are sorry but proper brushing will prevent problems. " Where on earth is the refund policy listed?! There's no website...And even when a mistake happens, the professional approach would be to own up to your mistake, not place total blame on the owner. I will NEVER go back here again! read more

If anyone can wrangle my beast (and by beast I mean the sweetest dog alive who HATES to be groomed...and shows it by constant nipping) and make him look dog-gone-good (insert embarrassment for me here) - we've got a winner! This is not to be taken lightly; he's come out of numerous groomers looking as though he's gotten in a fight with a Flowbee. NO BUENO! A Husky/Chow mix with long thick hair needs attention and love during a grooming sesh, something Dog in Suds delivers. After every fairly inexpensive visit to Dog in Suds, my pup is happy, handsome and got his game face on. I swear he thinks he's Dog Clooney or Bark Pitt (insert more embarrassment here). We take our Terrierist Joey on a regular basis. Amazed at the results. Although he's a white mini-schnauzer, we prefer not to have the usual schnauzer cut. Great place with a good attitude. I asked for an appointment at short notice and they gladly took my 3 dogs in right away! I have used their services about 10 times now (3 dogs each time) without issue. My dogs are a lot to handle (great Dane, shepherd mix and pit mix) and add up to about 300 lbs of dogs! I've been taking my 12 pound male yorkie and my 3 pound female yorkie to Dogs in Suds for the last 5 years. I have always been highly impressed with the level of service and friendliness. They alway give them the cutest puppy cuts! I am never worried or concerned for the few hours they spend there every few months. I have on occasion shopped around for a better price...well needless to ay 5 years later have yet to find a more affordable trust worthy groomer. They did what they wanted not what I asked for My dog is now afraid of getting her nails clipped because they clipped them too short. They gave my dog razor burn on her eye brows. They wouldn't come out of back and chat with me to at least apologize for damage. When a similar event happened to one of my students I said I'd post to let the public know. They can always get her in the day that I call, so to say this place is accommodating would be an understatement. 2. They actually trim my dogs hair how it should be and evenly at that. 3. Dog in Suds does a great job of grooming my black lab. I do not get haircuts, just the bath, but he stays clean and smelling great for weeks later. They only take an hour or two, so I can run errands and come back. They are located in a small shopping center in the corner so can be hard to find. The pricing is great and they have a quiet blow dryer so if your dog is like mine and does not like the loud blow dryer, they will be able to dry your dog for you. Other places, I have to pick up my dog damp but not here! They will do everything from nail clippings to blueberry facials! read more

We have taken our new puppy (rough coat Jack Russell) there 2-3 times so far with great experiences. Never waited more than a day for an appointment--Usually done in a couple of hours. We have taken our medium size dog here off and on maybe a total of four times. The last time we were here, right after picking her up she was licking her belly in the car. I looked and there were 3 bleeding nicked spots/ cuts. I didn't say anything- my first thought was maybe she was wiggling or had matting -who knows. I kept that in mind when I took her again to another location and informed them and she told me even a wiggly dog with matting there is no way to knick her with a shaver unless the groomer was rushing. If it was an accident, I would at least have expected this business and the groomer to inform me about it. That is the biggest mistake they can make. Very reasonably priced and was all around just really happy with their customer service. My pup is hypoallergenic and has extremely sensitive skin, other groomers have not had the proper products for him but they did. They were very knowledgeable and I left very happy.
