This is such a great store. Really good quality treats. Finally made it in to do self washes this weekend. What a great experience. There are 2 tubs in a private room. We had 2 figs so took up the whole room and had to ourselves. The tubs were easy for the dogs to get in. The water pressure and temperature are adjustable which is really nice. They had many shampoo choices and all were really good lather and smell. There were many really good brushes as well. Loved that the dryer was also fully adjustable for the blower. It was nice to be able to turn it down for around the face. Also really liked that the heavy rubber mats on the floor so no fear of slipping. Will definitely be going back here for washes! read more

Ashley S has been grooming my husband and I's cats for years, if we had long haired dogs, we would have her attend to them too. She is patient, knowledgeable and most of all, kind and gentle. She treats our animals as if they are her own. Highly recommend following her and seeking her out! Adore this store and love that it is inside Cardiff Town Center! Super convenient and fun location. (Trick is to park on San Elio Ave and walk down the stairs right near the shop's entrance.) Business is family-owned, and everyone here clearly loves animals. We usually come for a dog wash on the weekend after dog beach. Everyone here is well-educated about the products and we trust their advice. We buy our dog and cat food here, as well as shampoo, toys and treats. Highly recommend! read more

I had such a great experience having my dog groomed at EarthWise Pet. The store is tucked away in the corner of the Cardiff Town Center and is very nice inside. They have pet food, toys, washing stations, a full pet spa, and pretty much anything else you would ever need. Even though it's in such a nice shopping center, the prices are very reasonable and they really spent their time making sure that my dog was comfortable and had a great experience. It is a family run business and the owner is extremely nice a personable. I highly recommend checking it out! read more

When you bring your dog somewhere, the most important thing is to feel trusting and satisfied with those that we leave these creatures we love with. We told our groomer our requests to take care of our dog's double coat, to leave certain hairs uncut, and to be careful with our sensitive pup, all of which were completely ignored. Unfortunately, our experience with Earthwise was one that we wish we could take back for our dog. We went for the first time and were told it would be a longer wait, which was no problem, but upon returning 2 hours later we were told that his cut hadn't even started. We were told to wait another hour, and were not given updates on our dog, how he was doing, and if the groomer even had time to put full effort into this process without feeling rushed. After 3 hours, we were told our dog was ready, and when we arrived his cut still wasn't finished. We were told he was not cooperating with sitting, so it took two people to finish the job. When it was all done, we were told by the groomer "I cut his balls" since she shaved his genitals down to the skin and cut him. The negligence, avoidance of responsibility, and lack of humility in this business for the wellbeing of our dog is something we wish we didn't have to bring to light, but we feel anyone bringing their dog here deserves to hear the honest opinion of people who felt disregarded from their first visit. We really love small businesses and genuinely wish this one well, but felt that this needed to be shared out of true concern for others. read more

Best self dog wash, really nice staff and great assortment of products and brands! Best brands in the market. Cons: The grooming wasn't great, my dog came back with lots of matts even though we got the premium package, she (poodle) didn't even get a fair face trimmed :( so 2-3 weeks later, we are thinking of taking her to another groomer when she usually have 6 weeks in between haircuts. read more

When I finally accepted that I am NOT a skilled groomer, I took my little doxie to EarthWise Pets in Cardiff, dropped her off for a full grooming and held my breath. It was a leap of faith because my doxie is highly anxious, and she only trusted her previous groomer of many years who closed her business. Ashamed of how ragged her coat had gotten, I left her in the very capable hands of Ashley who did a remarkable job!! Ashley sent her home a clean, soft and much more comfortable pup who I can't stop sniffing. Very grateful for the time Ashley took with her, and relieved I found a new groomer!! Yay!!! read more

One of our favorite local pet stores is relocating, so my husband and I decided to give Earthwise Pet in Cardiff a try. This pet store seems to offer good products and the employees seemed kind. However, my husband and I have had a hard time trying to give them our business since they recurringly have not been open during their published store hours. On at least three occassions now my husband has tried visiting this store in the evening before the advertised 5:30 PM close and he's been met with closed doors every time. We've since given up on going back here for our dog's food needs as the business has been recurringly unreliable. read more

We recommend Earthwise to any pet parent who is concerned about healthy disease reducing pet food. The local owner of this amazing pet food, toys and other pet accessories pet store has spent years researching healthy pet food choices and is extremely knowledgeable. She and everyone else who works there are so nice, smart and nutrition helpful! We have completely switched what we now feed our dogs, based upon their recommendations and our dogs are as healthy as they've ever been and the diet is the kind that we humans have switched to to reduce inflammation and disease risks as we age. And, on top of all this, they have an AMAZING groomer, who is well priced and our dogs are no longer scared of going to the groomer. We can't say enough about this store.
