What a cute little British pub in the heart of Cocoa Village. Lots of beers on tap and even more in bottles; plus they have hard liquor! The decor is British and the walls are full of all kinds of cute signs. We visited in October & they went a all out with fun spooky Halloween decorations! They also have darts, a pool table, other bar games, and lots of parking nearby. They have a friendly staff of bartenders who have worked there for years. They don't serve food; but you can bring food in from one of the many neighboring restaurants and cafes. My husband and I ordered food from a place a block away and enjoyed it with some cold beers right at the bar. It's such a friendly place; even dogs are welcome. Stopped in for a minute on St. Patties day pub crawl. All was good, the band was playing inside and everyone was having a good time. It was a young crowd and the door guy was kept busy checking ID's. You can bring your dog here, they love dogs. Since it was a holiday of sorts, we were able to sit outside on some benches and bring our drinks with us. I don't know if you can normally do this but it was nice to get out of the crowd inside, enjoy our drinks and still listen to the music. read more

Dog and Bone is a rock solid british pub. I was in town for a conference and went here in the afternoon and loved it. I had the snake bit which is a great mix of cider and stella. They have a lot of british drinks. I forgot to ask about what was in the dog house 'their special' but next time I go that's the first thing I'm doing. The have about 7 beers on tap. It's a narrow space but has some dart boards and an L shaped bar. Make sure to download the touchtune jukebox app on your phone and play some songs. read more

And I believe there are so few bars where you can smoke, that they entire of society lights up here. Nice British style pub. A reasonable assortment of beers on tap, but not exceptional. A nice comfortable place to sit for a bit, have a couple of drinks and a cigar. No food consumed or seen. They are also especially accommodating to dogs. There is a bowl of water available. They do seem to have some dog owners as fans, we met some last time but not this time. Guiness banners, soceer jerseys, Union Jack flags, the walls and ceiling hold so much UK memoribila that you have to wonder how long it took to collect it all. The all wooden bar houses a nice selection of beer on tape as well a full alcohol. There are dart boards on either side of the fireplace. One pool table takes up a corner. Worst bar in Florida, if they had 0 stars I would of chosen it. It started with the guy checking IDs was spitful and seemed to angry at life. Told me he had to ID everyone who walked in. I understand the policy but 5 or more teenagers walked in right after but I guess the drinks in there hands made them over 21 (he said it is because he knew them.) After I asked the question, I was put into arm bar over no physical altercation at all. I told him to release me but still dragged me for 15 to 20 feet. I use to love this bar a lot. Never minded the smoking being a smoker but the service is absolutely terrible during the day by the guy who usually operates it during the day (name starts with an M). Most indignant, disrespectful and unaware person i have ever met. Tends to want to talk to his friends more so than attend to a paying customer, which resulted in waiting 30 mins for a beer until i was noticed (happened multiple times), also should point out that one time when i did ask for another respectfully he rolled his eyes at me and left. Had to ask two more times till i finally got it. Keep in mind only 6 people in the bar at the time, saying youre busy when your not serving anyone nor on register and just standing talking doesnt constitute as busy. Its like having a 16 year old work his first job, never seen such a terrible employee, has no business working that job. Especially when it appears he cant said job when it actually does become busy. The whole place is downright filthy. Definitely the bum business of the village. On top of that they charge which i think is too much for drinks for that establishment, especially when it looks if somethings broke you slap duct tape on it. If you want the feel of a proper English Pub, well as much as it can be in the US, knowing their penchant for interminable 'Irish' bars, look no further. The Dog and Bone in historic Cocoa. Good choice of beer, very authentic but alas, no food seen around the place. Friendly locals and expats and very dog friendly, in fact they were all over the bloody place. (and so were the dogs!) There is also a friendly T-shirt clad doorman sat outside making sure any riff raff are thrown into the joint on a regular basis! There's live music, cards, darts, good banter with the ex pats and it's a great centrally located Pub in historic Cocoa. The only downside is.....the very smoky atmosphere which slightly spoiled what was a great night for us. If you like that sort of thing, and you are a smoker or you dearly love and can't bear to be apart from your smoking 'other half' and have enough soap to wash your clothes every day, then fine...I don't....otherwise a really nice little boozer. A friend invited me to a performance by a duet ensemble by the name of Steven and Becky Marie here last weekend and I went online to get some info about the bar and found some mixed reviews. I did not find this too surprising. Being a local, I am aware the place has changed proprietorship and management a few times in recent years. It turns out the address at 9 Stone Street has two quite distinct venues, one at ground level which is the Dog and Bone pub that has undergone some renovations, the most remarkable being an extension of the bar by several feet . They still have quite a few drafts on tap , dartboards and the atmosphere is great with a generous outdoor area in front for smokers to enjoy with their drinks in hand.. But it was upstairs that was the biggest surprise to me. The renovations there were extensive and completely transformed from when I was last there, some years ago. There is a distinct contrast to the pub below and I must say, a delightful venue for a small performance such as the one I attended. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly and was quite impressed with the revamping of this space. It was a pleasant place to enjoy an intimate performance and I imagine a great place for renting out for special occasions such as wedding receptions or a cabaret show, etc. It has a nightclub vibe that is sleek and clean and there is a DJ booth and room for a great party with the same tap beers and ales that are available downstairs at the pub, but also a full bar that is well appointed.. Overall a great time and I am anxious to see their continued metamorphosis! Cheers! read more
