Stopped by Jack & Harry's today. We were greeted by Jess and well taken care of. She was friendly & had great customer service. We loved sitting outside at the bar with the fresh breeze. The food was so satisfying! I have dairy & gluten allergies, and they paid extra attention the food order. We got the Greek salad & a chicken bbq gluten free pizza. Everything tasted great. Jess made sure the kitchen was extra vigilant due to my allergies. I am grateful for that! The new owners have up scaled the space. It's a whole new vibe. Definitely worth checking out ! read more

Unfortunately, we have not enjoyed our visits here. We decided to give this place another chance and it just underwhelmed us. Sure, the location looks inviting, I'll give it that. It was the poor service and mediocre food (again on both) that truly settled it for us this time around. Quite simply, we won't be back again. Was here 11/8 and the service was very slow- 55 minutes for a pulled pork sandwich and a chicken wrap. Staff was not concerned about the time after I mentioned it. Had to let the bartender know there were customers at the outside bar because she was busy visiting with the customers inside the restaurant. This was after they sat outside for 9 minutes. The service continues to decline. So sad because the food is good. read more

Used to be much better, not sure what happened. Twice in a row - on 2 separate visits this fall, food came out undercooked to the point of being stone COLD on the inside tho warm on the outside. Means it wasn't cooked long enough, duh. 1st time was a spanakopita, 2nd time appetizer "egg rolls". Cold, uncooked on inside on both- seems kitchen is not following basic protocol (is there one?) that puts patrons at risk potentially for food borne illness. We eaten here several times and the food has been good. The service is good. Tonight the server, Brittany was very nice, made great suggestions and took care of us wonderfully. The bill came and when my card was run the cost of the food was considerably more than the menu prices shown. I asked the server and she was confused and said she would get the manager as she was not aware of any pricing increases. I had dinner with a friend at Jack & Harry's. We sat at the bar. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were tasty. But not the grits. Not creamy. Supposedly made with Asiago cheese. I saw no evidence of it. Sprinkled on top was cold, shredded cheddar cheese. The grits were clumpy. The bacon bits too hard to chew. After the disappointing meal which I didn't come close to finishing, the bar tender stayed at the other end of bar. Every Tuesday is taco Tuesday at Jack and Harry's. All of their tacos are $3. Which is a steal because these tacos are absolutely delicious. I had the beef taco, shrimp taco and I can't remember the name of the third taco but it was an Asian inspired taco. Even with them not being on sale they are totally worth every penny they are so packed full of flavor and they're not skimpy little tacos they are actually packed with flavor and packed with ingredients. They have outdoor seating at the restaurant which was nice during these trying times to have a place to sit outside and eat the servers wore masks that was nice as well and the margaritas were good. My wife and I visited Jack & Harry's on a Sunday afternoon and I have to admit I was disappointed in the brunch service. We both ordered from the brunch menu - Crab cakes benedict and Creme brûlée French toast. The crab cake had a good number of shrimp in it, not much crab; and the French toast had a distinct chemical taste. I'm hoping we just caught them on a bad day. We'll probably try them again, but for dinner service. There regular menu had a lot of delicious sounding items. read more

We were immediately seated outside as per our preference. Everyone got drinks. Spouse and I got a beer that was on special. It was cold and a nice size. I got hot wings, they came out crispy and nicely sauced. Not breaded--just deep fried. One of my party got bacon mac and cheese. It was good as well, good mix of cheeses. Spouse got a salad. It was fresh and large. Wait staff was attentive. Pizza place next door is attached, so you can choose from either menu--another in my party got the meatball sub. It was huge and saucy. If it wasn't for the Caesar dressing I would not come back. This visit was at 2:35 on a Saturday afternoon. I brought my 82 year old mom that doesn't walk well. We walked in the front door to find a lot of water on the floor, a fan with extension cords across the walkway, 3 people using squeegees and several booths pulled out from the walls also partially obstructing the path. We gave this place a try for SUNDAY FUNDAY - $8 bottomless mimosas! We got the shrimp street tacos and vegetarian street tacos and split them. Street tacos are supposed to be small (hence the name) but these are NOT (see pic) 2 tacos filled 2 adults up (I actually took one home). A very nice surprise to find on a whim... My son agreed to eat hear on my suggestion, as whimsical as it was, as we were searching for somewhere to eat and this popped up on my Yelp search, being nearby. What we discovered from the non-descript entrance is that the inside is truly whimsical itself. The inside is decorated in a fusion of steampunk and car bar, down to the old-time lights. The booths were cushioned, the hightops were the most comfortable I have ever sat at, and the bar was the main protagonist inside as it took up some good square-footage. My son ordered one of their burgers, I can't recall, while I got their grilled meatloaf. He enjoyed their burger with a very nice helping of crispy fries, while my meatloaf was way bigger than I expected, I then couldn't eat it all. Anyway, it was all very good. The service was friendly and efficient, I recall Hillary being her name, and she did a fine job taking care of us. My only nit was that they must have had a problem with their A/C as it wasn't as cool as you would expect. In fact, it was downright warm in the place, which did take away from the overall experience. Even though they did put fans out, but really to no avail. No matter. The food sometimes tastes great, some others very low quality, like basic sports bar and our last time was the worst... I guess it depends on the chef since the ingredients should be the same. Also, I placed a few orders to go, every time there was something wrong sadly: either some items were missing in the final order, or they were out of something, or something went wrong in the kitchen so they had to remake the whole dish, or they simply forgot to put my order in... I had to their wings the first time I went and they were scrumptious. Crispy outside, moist and tender inside. The dragon fire sauce was more tangy than spicy so don't be afraid of it being too .
