Staying here for my boyfriend's birthday is probably the best present I've given him to date! We're from DC so this was a perfect summer weekend escape for us. The BF is NOT into "things" or design, but was pretty much obsessed with every aspect of this place from a design perspective. From the outside it looks like a standard inn, but everything on the interior has been redesigned and feels masculine but comfortable and high-end; from the fluffy white duvet to the Malin + Goetz rum body wash, giant walk-in shower and of course Dogfish Head beer soap, he commented on almost every element. The staff gave us some great recommendations for places to visit around town (all within 1-2 blocks!) and on our first night we went to some great bars and had one of the best mexican dinners ever. On the second day, we did the "all Inn-clusive" tour of the brewery and lunch at the brewpub. Matt, our guide (and a stand-up comedian on the side) was hilarious and picked us and three other couples up in a swanky Mercedes Dogfish Head van and took us to the brewery for a sweet tour (where we got to bypass the entire line) and tasting of ALL the beers. Then we got back in the van and went to the brewpub, where again we got to bypass the wait and got seated immediately for lunch. We made friends with the other couples and ended up spending the afternoon in the yard area back at the inn, where they have games like corn hole, a giant picnic table (with built-in beer trough -- again the BF was obsessed from a design + functionality standpoint), and the "cowboy cauldron" for which the Inn staff ended up bringing us s'more-making supplies...win!! Went to the beach on our second morning...about two blocks away. Each room comes equipped with beach chairs and beach bag for the borrowing, which was extra useful. Clean and comfortable accommodations, great onsite activities, great "inn-inclusive tour" and very friendly, welcoming staff. Awesome stay all around! read more

Upon arrival i saw a motel but when we went up to the room they had "HERE COMES THE BRIDE" (told them we were getting married this week so that was adorable! Inside the room was so cute and cozy! The shower was nice and loved the big sink. The guy working yesterday/ lastnight was nothing but awesome and friendly. He was also great with our 3 year old. Would definitely return and bring our pup since they're fur baby friendly!!! Only thing I have to complain about is the stairs up to the second floor are a bit scary. read more

Our 3 night stay (double birthdays) was outstanding. We arrived around noon on a Wednesday and our room was available (nice surprise), we dropped off our stuff and headed out to explore. There are several terrific options for food literally across the street! We booked the "inn"clusive tour, it was us, another couple & Matt the rock star tour guide, the adventure was informative, delicious & inspiring-FUN! The inn keepers treat guests like family, the personal touches are everywhere from the fresh brewed coffee available all day to the fire lit in the cauldron at 7ish. Just think of the office as a relatives home and your room as a cottage on the grounds-we are already planning our return in the spring! read more

So last night at about 1:30 am, there were some folks I can only imagine were intoxicated having a loud conversation laced with profanity on the balcony outside our room. I called the manager on duty, Andrew, who I clearly had woken up and he told me he would take care of it, which he promptly did. This morning, he introduced himself, shook my husband and my hands and apologized for the disruption to our sleep. I apologized for mine to his and he insisted he was doing his job, no worries. We received a text asking us to stop by the hotel office and were given a gift card to use at one of the restaurants owned by the brewery. I am so impressed with the way this was handled. Dogfish Inn is a really cool hotel with a great location and excellent service. read more

Customer service is a dying art. Less and less is seen these days. Not at Dogfish Inn. They understand the importance of it and have it down to a science. The morning of our check in they texted and asked if there was anything they could do. You don't see that anywhere! They were able to assist us and that was just the beginning of a wonderful stay. The inn is perfectly decorated and wonderfully off centered. The bed and especially the pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The inn is located in a charming beach town with a wide array of restaurants and shops within walking distance. For Dogfish fans its centrally located between the brewery in Milton and the brewpub in Rehoboth Beach. There is also a Dogfish owned upscale seafood restaurant next door to the brewpub that is also incredible. From the chicory coffee in the lobby, the great customer service and the comfortable accommodations you can't go wrong. read more

The Inn was so relaxing and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Their courtyard was lots of fun for my 2 year old and a nice chill spot! Andrew also let us know where all of the local playgrounds were. The bed and pillows were super comfy. I really liked the minimalist design of the rooms. I stayed in room 20 and highly recommend this room.. just don't steal it when I come back to visit! read more

Where to start! The Dogfish Head brand is amazing in its entirety. I surprised my husband with a road trip to this beautiful state and we stayed the weekend at the Dogfish Inn. We arrive to our room and are welcomed with birthday wishes to my husband "Happy Birthday Ken" colorful magnet letters on our door. Very sweet and thoughtful! The Inn team were on point and attentive our entire stay. The design of the Inn rooms were stylish with a modern-retro twist. All of the small details set in place for fun and functional purpose. Cozy bed and covers. The room had a nice oversized sink equipped with beer soap and other fun soaps and lotions. The lobby was cozy with a fireplace, vinyl records playing and delicious coffee. There was a cauldron fire pit which is nice to enjoy at night. Pack a cooler of SeaQuench Ale and Beer to drink music to 17 (my current favorites) and enjoy the fire and meet new friends. We were lucky enough to meet Sam and have a fire side chat with others. He's definitely a down to earth individual with a creative and busy mind. Transparent and curious. Listening to his story was inspirational and it's good to know regardless of his success he hasn't lost site of the value of people, other beer geeks alike that believe in his art. The surrounding town of Lewes is a little gem that offers tranquility and beauty. The town was filled with unique homes and structures, beautiful tulips, and friendly faces. I recommend taking time for a fun bike ride to explore the town. They have bikes at the Inn to borrow. Explore the scenic water views, landscape, shops, the beach and unique structures. We also enjoyed eating at Chesapeake and Maine, the pub and the brewery. The Inn offered transportation to these locations throughout the day so that you can drink and enjoy responsibly. That was really nice. The Grain to Glass tour was the best brewery tour we've been on to date. Definitely worth the money. Tour included tastes of different beers and liquor. Our tour guide Matt was a trip. Very entertaining and there was no doubt that he loves and believes in the company. Very informational and we learned a lot about the history of Dogfish. The Dogfish experience was very unique and rich in positive vibes. Incredible team. Awesome adventure! read more

Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday and we were both amazed by the hospitality. They even left a message on our door saying "Happy Birthday Bobby!" Which was a fun surprise to start the trip off. Everyone from the Inn to the Brewery-Brewpub-Restaurant was so thoughtful and helpful and made our experience SO worth it. Patrick started off our trip with amazing hospitality, cheers to you Patrick! We used their bikes the first evening and and Linda suggested a small ride down to grab some drinks at On The Rocks, we were able to watch the sunset over a few drinks. Then we biked to dinner across the street at the Italian food place and dined in the "wine room". We ended the night enjoying time by the firepit which we enjoyed our time talking over some beers and the company there. The coffee in the morning in the lobby is a life savor and not to mention, so delicious! (We ended up buying 2 bags to take home with us). The Inn is such a great concept and after learning even more about the business on the Brewery Tour I have gained so much more appreciation for Dogfish! I love supporting these kinds of businesses and especially when they have such hospitable employees, that's hard to come by nowadays. First time staying here and I have to say it far exceeded my expectations. The overall feeling the place is so warm and inviting, from the moment we walked into the inn we felt at home. Absolutely loved our stay. Check in was quick and the girls were very nice. Stayed in room 27. Guessing that our room and room 7 have the most traffic noise because they are the only rooms with Windows facings the main road. Loved the design and the bed was SO comfortable. Bathroom is nice, beer soap smells so good! Mini fridge too! Items in room to buy are pretty expensive (blanket, bag, etc). Good location for restaurants and within 20 minutes to the Brew Pub! We are already planning on coming back. FYI no dogfish head buildings accept discover cards. read more

We arrived at the Dogfish, and just fell into our beds! They were SO comfortable! We had a great sleep and wished we had stayed longer. Also, the soap on the sink was beer infused. The people in the office were friendly and let us stick around and keep our car in the parking lot while my husband went on the Dogfish Tour. They also let us refill our water bottles over and over again. They had regular water and also berry tea infused water with a little bit of citrus. It was so good! read more

Tough to write as the 60 minute is one of my favorites, but at $325/night there are better options in Lewes. Never has form trumped function so soundly. We stayed labor day weekend in room 7 which was a smaller end unit first floor. Hit with major mold smell as we entered which lingered throughout the stay. The room was essentially a bed surrounded by non- functional trappings. The shower/toilet combo had a half door on the shower that allowed the rest of the room/floor to get wet. Outside the bathroom was a farmers sink (??) with no where to place toiletries. No soap when we checked in, no soap after cleaning day one. Had to walk to office to request. Ditto iron and board (not in room). There is no closet so clothes share a peg board on the wall with cheap, useless beach chairs. Other than the bed there was a chair in the room that might have been the most uncomfortable chair ever produced. Even the TV aspect ratio was off. The small desk was a retail counter for snacks and souvenirs. It all looks very nice in the pictures, and to be fair the bed was comfortable and the hotel sits in a great location. But so do several other hotels with far better amenities. read more

This place is great! Just returned from a mid-week summer get away that was an all around positive experience. The Inn is off the beaten path in a very good way. The room, Inn and grounds have a simple clean freshness that is rarely found in a motel, what a welcome surprise! Staff was friendly and informative, they called ahead for us when we visited both the Brewery and Brew Pub cutting the wait time and leading to a friendly reception. What an amazing place. From the outside there are only a few hints it's not your normal rundown beach motel. Once you get inside however it's amazing. Beautifully renovated rooms, super comfortable beds, and a really nice staff who want to make sure you have a great stay. In the end it's all about the people and the people here are great. We unexpectedly were there when Dogfish Head owner Sam was doing a fireside chat - how cool is that? The chat also exposed is to our fellow guests and we ended up making new friends. This is a very small hotel but don't let that fool you. Because it is small it has a very homey feel to it. the reception area is fun place to meet your friends that might also be staying there. They were just redoing the fire pit when we were there and it looked amazing. You will most likely see other beer lovers there and it is no wonder with the amazing beer at the brewery. The brewery tour is not to be missed. Back to the hotel....everything is new and comfortable. From the outside it doesn't look like much but don't let that fool your. We and a second floor room on the corner and it had a great view, comfy bed. Very nice bedding and decor. I loved the bath soap so much that I took it home with me. The new, hip vibe at the Dogfish Inn leads to a great communal stay. It's like luxury camping with like-minded beer lovers. We brought our dog and the facilities perfectly accommodated pets. The place is also ideally situated for a quick trail ride to Rehoboth Beach where you can dine at the stellar Dogfishhead Pub. The staff even called in reservations for us, which prioritized our seating ahead of those waiting almost two hours during the dinner rush. Speaking of the staff, you can't find a more friendly crew working to make sure you have everything you need for a pleasant stay. Cannot say enough good things about the Dogfish Inn and the whole Dogfish experience overall. I booked a weekend at the Inn for my boyfriend's birthday and added the "Grain-to-Glass" experience at the brewery. We checked in and were pleased to learn we'd been upgraded to one of the larger suites in the main building. The door of our room had the magnetic letters that read "Happy Birthday (Boyfriend's First Name)!" Hooray for exceptional customer service! The room was so eclectic and funky... full of swag with branding at every turn. Coffee table reminded me of my 1970's-era childhood. Fully stocked kitchen with a hotplate and small fridge... coffee mugs and pint glasses all boasting the logo. Well done! (Another reviewer said their fridge was stocked... mine wasn't.) Loved the soap (made from beer) and even the recycle bin had the logo on it. We walked around the cute town and had dinner and drinks... then came back to the inn where there was a firepit and a bunch of people sitting around chatting, drinking and eating complimentary gourmet s'mores. The brewery experience the next day was an absolute treat -- I totally recommend upgrading to the Grain-to-Glass Tour... it's worth every penny and you come away with some good swag and a happy glow. Then hit Chesapeake and Maine for some happy hour apps - very reasonably priced and delicious. One downside: surprisingly, the Inn isn't close to the brewery. And the restaurant isn't either. But Uber or Lyft is the way to go... enjoy the beer and leave the driving to someone else! read more

I was hesitant at first to the idea of a beer company running a motel, but when i first walked in, i knew i was in for a great stay. The shower is roomy and has the perfect pressure along with incredibly good smelling beer soaps and shampoos- which you might want to take with you! The fire pit an outdoor seating is perfect for s'mores and drinks if you'd like, and the staff is so helpful with whatever you need. One member recommended a breakfast place right in town called Nectar. Five stars from me, as the fresh juices and açaí bowls quenched my odd fruit craving. (Also, the handmade granola and Blueberry pancakes were out-of-this-world good!) Although the beds were a little low and uncomfortable, this is a great stay. Complaints: Beds were uncomfortable//rooms are super noisy at night, you can tell the building has been around for quite sometime, it definitely comes with noises and creeks. It was a little spooky, bring sleeping headphones. Also, we had one of the rooms furthest from the lobby. My wifi didn't work in our room AT ALL, only around the fire-pit and lobby. Just completed our second stay at the Dogfish Inn & we loved it. Housekeeper did a perfect job with everything. Good wifi. Beds are sooooooo comfortable. Be sure to go for a ride using one of their complementary bicycles. Don't be afraid to ask the staff about beer and things to do. Get a cup of knotting hill coffee in the lobby, sit in the chairs outside your room or by the fire cauldron, reading Palette magazine or watching boats go by. Front windows are thin so the boats or garbage truck may wake you. Recommend playing white noise app on your iPhone. There are so many things to do in the area and the innkeeper does a great job. We'll stay longer next year. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Dogfish Inn for the 4th of July, and had a wonderful visit thanks to their hospitality. The inn has a very relaxed vibe that is most welcome on a vacation. All of the people working at the inn are very friendly and happy to answer your questions. There is complimentary chicory stout coffee in the lobby, both hot and cold. You may also find samples from the Saturday farmers market for munching on. They were even grilling Dogfish brats on the fire pit on the 4th proper. The room is your standard beach motel, but very clean and with modern touches. There is a peg board with beach chairs and a tote for guest use. The beds are very soft and there is beer soap for your use - I bought a bar before I left. It's also very quiet inside the rooms. There is free wi-fi, and plenty of places to sit outside, be it at the aforementioned fire pit or two chairs outside of one's room. This proved to be a good spot to enjoy a late-night beer alone with my husband. We arrived on Friday and wanted to do the full experience - brewery and brewpub - before the 4th. The Inn has a deal with local cab company Shamrock, where they'll charge you a flat rate or less to travel between these places at the Inn. This was a big help. The Inn also has a shuttle service that departs at 9:30 AM only, and will take you to the brewery and pub. I hope we can do this one next time (the service wasn't available on the 4th). The inn is a ten minute walk from Lewes beach and a short drive to Rehoboth. Lewes itself is pretty sleepy, but there is plenty to do during the day. The inn felt so cozy that we loved being able to curl up there at night. My husband and I are already planning our next visit. Next time we may try and visit during the off-season. If you're looking for a good beer+beach vacation, look no further. read more

The staff here goes out of their way to make your visit to Lewes a most enjoyable and comfortable expierence from the luxurious beds and spa toiletries, freshly brewed coffee and glowing fireplace in the lobby/lodge/cottage to the fire ring and tours of Dogfish Brewery. They know all the good places to see and will do anything for you from accommodating your very, very late arrival to brewing delicious coffee. My husband and I have been planning a craft beer trip with two of our friends for ages, so of course Dogfish Inn had to be the first night's stop! We checked in with the incredibly friendly staff, found somewhere in the... challengingly small lot lot to park, and went up to our room. Upon walking in, we were honestly somewhat underwhelmed. After all the hype and excitement, it was really just a room. The design is nice, but the room is very small, and the AC is questionable. It very much felt like the high price tag for a night's stay was riding off the Dogfish reputation, and not actually what the hotel could offer. Perhaps most annoying was the empty growler you are "gifted" with - a nice thought, I suppose, but all it really does is serve to remind you that there is no beer available at the Inn dedicated to beer. It wasn't bad but it also definitely didn't live up to expectations. Dogfish Inn, I wish I could have loved you! read more

The Dogfish Inn is in a charming location with charming people. It's quirky ambience and funky furnishings make it quite unique and we were quite happy at check in. The staff were more than helpful and they ensured we got priority for the brewery tour and pub. It is within walking , distance of a beach, shops and restaurants. There are bicycles available for use however they are all boy bikes and a bit large for a short female. there are a few issues that we had especially considering high price.. we stayed in 1st floor room and on the 2nd night when we had people in the unit above us we could hear every footstep and also every laugh or cough. I wish there was a bit more storage or shelf space, we didn't have much room to unpack our things and didn't see any iron. There is a fridge that works well. The beds are fairly comfortable but the ac blows down directly on beds and can be a little difficult to get the temp just right. We really did enjoy our stay but I just think that for the price I would expect a bit more. I am not sure if I would choose again. read more
