Found this gem because of Remy_BlueWaterHouse on Instagram! Cutest dog and ambassador for the bed & breakfast. Charming place with beach-y themed rooms and everything you could ask for and then some. Rick was amazing making me feel right at home and Tony prepares a bountiful hot breakfast everyday. Steps to Lewes beaches and Historic downtown. I know where I'll be coming back to!

Went for two nights a warm President weekend. Very impressed. Big, spacious cool room with blue sinks! Lovely small hotel. Our first visit to Lewes and we will return to Hotel Blue. Big suite. Highly recommend if you like a modern vibe clean and nice smaller hotel. You walk across bridge to Restaurants. We liked the two guys at front desk. Fire place and balcony in room-nice. A pleasant discovery!

Awesome stay. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Fresh fruit and coffees available 24 hours. Contemporary hotel very clean with lots of extras. Including light up ice bucket complete with remote to change colors, lovely rooftop pool, in room fireplace. Close to Cape Henlopen State Park and all downtown Lewes has to offer. Walk to amazing restaurants and shops.

    The beautifully decorated lobby

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is super clean (I'm not sure how they get their bathroom floors so darn sparkling white!). The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays. The rooms were spotless and pristine. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Lewes. Best of all, they were so flexible with our reservations. We had an emergency occur the day of our scheduled arrival and they let us reschedule with no penalty. We will definitely go back.

The room is spacious and thoughtfully curated with Dogfish items. Some are for use, others are to keep or purchase. We received a complimentary glass growler and beer soap. The room also has a fridge, TV, noise machine, and a small couch. If we stayed here longer than a night, the Inn gives guests free access to coolers, beach chairs, bikes, and much more. Awesome spot. Highly recommend!

The cold brew coffee was also amazing and we learned how to make cold brew from Chris (a great guy, hope he's still there!). I got there around 3:30 PM and there was no one there to help us check in. However, on the way I was told everything I needed to know to get in through the main door and into the room. There is a small private lot to park in plus the street is free for parking next to the building. I do not know if that becomes an issue in peak season but at least it wasn't a worry for now. The common area is super nice. It feels like being home. There was white and red wine out and soft drinks in the common fridge as well. The room itself was surprisingly large and comfortable. Everything was in place for a great stay - ample towels in the bathroom, instructions for everything including where to place used glasses and so on. Waking up breakfast was being made for any guests that wanted it. Banana pancakes with bacon and some grapefruit. It was nice to smell those smells before coming down to experience it! The only frustrating part was the initial booking. Since the single night could not be reserved online I needed to call. I was never able to call and get a person immediately. I always needed to leave a voicemail and wait for them to get back to me. Though I cannot say it was a big deal, it still does make for a bit of a hitch if you are trying to make last minute plans.

This faded quickly at the entry level with a strong smell of wet dog, followed by no cooling on the interior. The pictures on the internet are dated and things are cluttered now. The room I booked was not the room held, but since it was a weekday I could have my pick of the 3 front rooms, none of them the one I booked (?). The room was clean and there was AC that, when turned On, over time cooled the room down. During the night I was awakened by the heat and found the AC was not cycling On unless the ceiling fan was On (?). There are plentiful sugary and baked goods snacks and soda in the breakfast room for anytime. The fresh fruit though was over or under ripe. The morning coffee was not hot. Breakfast did happen and I was able to enjoy a wide selection of melon and berries with yogurt that was put out buffet style. The eggs requested, came pretty much as desired. The first morning I found out the free bike option was no longer available. I must have read about bikes in the reviews but now find they are no longer available in the fine print of the booking. My pleasure in staying here always fell short. I would have enjoyed a cookie cutter motel as much. I suppose I wanted the accommodation to be as attentive as the decor pictured. Then, as mentioned, the pictures are from some time in the past.
