I highly recommend Doggie Paddles for daycare, grooming, and boarding. It's the only place we'll take our dog. The owners and the staff try very hard to accommodate last minute requests and almost always find a way to work it out. They are very friendly and respectful and my dog gets excited as soon as he realizes where we are going. They post 100 pictures a day on FB of the animals that were there that day. When I'm boarding him, they are very responsive to private message requests for more pictures, videos, or just me wanting to hear that he's having a blast. At the end of a daycare day, my baby boy has to go behind the counter to say goodbye to everyone before we can leave. Give them a call and schedule a visit. read more

The pool has gotten to the realm of utterly disgusting. At one time I was taking my dog here and it wasn't this bad. There is a total black ring around the pool and it's been growing for months. The water temperature itself is under 52°. When I called to ask them specifically to let me know if the water was heated, I was responded with, we can't go back and check the temperature but we know it's over 70°. This was not true. I took a thermometer with me in that water was absolutely cold. My dog, being the toddler that he is, refused to give up because he loves swimming. I don't know how clean and or how safe this water truly is I'm sure that a call to the board of health, would change a few attitudes. And possibly the water? read more

My dog has been coming here since he was 4 months old. He is 6 now. I live an hour away and still bring him to boarding here. He's stayed as long as 16 days, and I have the peace of mind of being able to see photos and check in. They really take good care of him and he loves it. After being loyal grooming customers for years, we will not be returning. At first they were great. Then it got 'okay'. Then horrible. I picked my poor goldendoodle up the last 3 times with his ears bleeding profusely- one time requiring a trip to the er vet. The last year or so they refused to cut him the way I asked-- having him shaved nearly completely down when I went to pick him up instead of the fluffy teddy bear look I asked for. They appear to have gotten very lazy and incompetent. They won't spend the time to brush and cut him the way he should be-- they want to just shave him completely instead of giving him the cut i implicitly asked for. I am so very dissatisfied with this place after the final incident today, I refused to leave him at our appointment. The attitude and apparent lack of experience left me very uncomfortable and I felt it a potentially unsafe situation for my dog. There are better places with more experienced groomers, especially for the cost. If you'd like to chance your dogs health and happiness, by all means go here. I dropped my Dog off on July 3rd for a 10 stay. I picked her up on July 13th. When we got home I noticed a severe bite under her neck around the throat are. Several scabs were visible thru her her white coat. This really upset me because no of the staff said anything to me about her wounds that obviously came from another dog attacking her when wpicked her up that morning. I called immediately and was given the run around, the employee that I spoke to said that there was no notes or anything about any dog attacking her. I said to the young lady that I find it hard to believe that no one knew anything about it however my dog is a white coat lab and since there were puncture wounds on her neck / throat area that have scab over there must of been blood which would lead one to think that someone cleaned her up or there would be blood stains on her fur. At that point the employee said she would have her manager call me. It has been two days and no response. I Have noticed that my dogs bark sounds hoarse which is concerning I am taking her to the vet to see if there was any damage done. Doggie paddles charged me 675 dollars to board her and they are responsible for her well being under their care. I would not recommend them to anyone. I understand dogs get into scuffles however they state that they supervise dogs In the play area and that every dog is evaluated to make sure they are not aggressive. What makes me mad is that they did not tell me about it hoping I would not notice. This will not be my last word on this event especially if my dogs throat was damage. I'm not one to write reviews...in fact this is the first one I've done. Brought my 12 year old lab rescue in to board her for a couple of days while I attended to some business in Cincinnati. Spent some time researching spots in the Northern Kentucky area and settled on them after I found out they had a pool. My lab mix used to love the water, but over time has shied away. I hoped she would re-acclimate to it here. After the first day I checked in with the front desk and spoke to Ashley. Unfortunately my dog did not embrace the experience through no fault of the staff, but Ashley indicated they would try again as she had assimilated into a group very well, and might be more adventurous on the second day. Here's where my frustrations began. I booked for two overnights picking up in the afternoon of day 3. I arrived at around 2pm. When I dropped her off I added on a nail trim and an exit bath in addition to the pool. When I arrived I went thought the checkout procedure settling the bill for $166.42 by adding a tip of $29.96 for what I anticipated was a satisfactory experience. When my girl was brought out to me I reached down to pet her and realized she hadn't been bathed, and then saw her nails were not trimmed either. Initially the front desk intimated I hadn't scheduled the service (even though I was charged). Now, with my senses a little heightened I realize her collar is missing as well. In the end it turns out they put her on the nail trim and bath schedule for the day after I was supposed to pick her up, and I had to stand around for about 30 minutes for them to find the collar. They never tried to acclimate her to the pool on day 2 even though Ashley indicated they would. To their credit, they did NOT charge me for the pool time, but they did charge me for the nails and bath requiring a refund of my original bill for $196.38, and rebilling me for $124.02, sadly and karmically costing them the $30 tip. I didn't really any owning of the failures, or attempts by ownership or management to address it. They pretty much left the two teenage girls at the front to figure it out, and I don't really think they cared much one way or the other. Not sure who the kid was that was working in the back, but he impressed the hell out of me. While they were re-organizing the leashes at one point it was clear he knew which leash belonged to who, while the girl at the front was more concerned with "teaching him" how to hang a leash from a peg so it doesn't drag on the ground, and had no clue who's leash and collar were who's. Additionally, this kid was the one that found my dog's collar and was polite and aware of my frustration. Give him a raise...or call me and I'll send him the tip directly. Good luck. She has been so full of energy and we haven't been able to get her out due to the cold and snow; this has been our saving grace. We taught her to swim last summer and this keeps her in practice. They have very friendly staff that help get your dog in. They also provide life jackets and toys for the dogs to play with in the pool. Took my 6 month old puppy here to give him his first chance to socialize with other dogs. They did a great job! Spent about an hour introducing him to other dogs and seeing who he interacted best with before choosing which play group he belonged in. They only have them out about 20 minutes each hour, which is great so it doesn't get too hot for him. They even washed him for .e before I picked him up! I like that you know all the digs have their shits and the females are fixed...a much better scenario than going to a public dog park. read more

Before writing this review I thought long and hard for it. I work with animals and was debating on the professionalism of writing this. I wouldn't recommend for doggy daycare, but their swimming rental and yard rental is good. I brought current vaccines with me then the next time I came back they said they didn't have a copy. They said they would call the vet to verify for me and let him into daycare later. I called to make sure they had gotten the records and they verified that they had received current proof and they would be adding him into playgroup. When I picked him up they told me he got yard time where he "ran the fence" with the other dogs barking. Apparently they didn't put him in with other dogs instead they let him out in one of the side yards. I explained that I live in a subdivision with a fenced in yard and dogs that live next door and that if I wanted my dog to run the fence line I could have left him home. I explained that allowing my dog to practice barking at the fence is NOT something that I ever want since I do live in a neighborhood. I explained that at home when our neighbor's dogs begin to bark I call mine in, so he doesn't learn that behavior and I would have rather they told me when I called that they wouldn't be adding him into play group. The staff I spoke to didn't care, so I emailed the owner several times, didn't hear back and called several times. When I was finally able to get in touch with the manager they didn't seem to care and almost acted like they didn't believe me. She also said she didn't know how he was with dogs. My dog had been in their daycare numerous times since adulthood. While he is a very large male German Shepherd he is very good with all dogs. The last time I brought him there they had put him in with small dogs. While he only went once a month or so when I was really having a hard time getting exercise in if they didn't feel comfortable introducing him to dogs they needed to be transparent about that. Later they accused me of Having asked them to hold my dog and then just leaving. Just leaving. For anybody who knows me in the amount of time that I spend investing in my dog would know that this is a bold lie. It is very rare that I go anywhere without my dog without my dog. I was mostly frustrated with the lack of transparency (flat lying at this point) and the terrible customer service. I'll still use the pool area, the treadmill seems like a cool addition because where else can I find those things. I'm totally bummed you can't rent the indoor agility area anymore. read more

Love Doggie Paddles! Have brought my fur baby here several times for swimming, daycare, and even to be groomed. One time I dropped him off after group swim during daycare not knowing it was done in the morning, but they still worked to get him in for a swim later on. I was very appreciative of that as a wet lab is a happy lab! Truly impressed with the pricing. They don't add on charges for "extras" nor keep them in the kennel the entire time like most other boarding places do. The only thing I'd change is the entrance area (unless there is a reason for that and if so ignore me). It's a tight fit and hard to stand and pay for your services when another customer (with a dog) is trying to come and go as well. I suggest moving the desk back a bit. We couldn't be happier and more pleased with leaving our sweet babies for 8 days with Doggie Paddles!! Everyone was so kind, attentive, and helpful with our questions and made sure that they were loved while we were gone. The luxury suites are one of a kind and they got to do so much playing for no extra charge!!!! I can't imagine taking our babies anywhere else and thankful that they have the same type of mentality for dog care that we do!!! 24/7 presence is HUGE, the staff LOVES dogs and you can tell, the pictures and FaceTime daily is golden, and they are so patient with crazy dog people like me!!! I was house sitting for a week so I had to board my shiba inu Akihito. I'm so glad he had fun! I got a video of him swimming In the big pool and cute photos of him through the day. Honestly the best thing ever. The only complaint I can think of was I asked over Facebook messenger once and called once asking how he was eating and neither could give me a reply, both saying someone else would get back to me because they weren't in charge of that, fair point and totally ok but I never got a reply on him eating. Picking him up I asked and they said he ate good and even needed a slow feeder so I know he was munching away happily, I just know new surroundings can make dogs nervous and less to eat. Also when I got him I found a big tick on his chest, I know it's not their job to take those off but finding one on him that was large was still not favorable. Other than those two things I know he had fun and the employees loved him. The photos really made me happy and I was excited to get my pup back I recommend completely and if I ever need boarding or daycare I'll be taking him there to have fun and swim!! Hopefully next time the agility course will be up and running to read more

Telling you guys, the owner wants to act indignant , I've talked to several people who have picked up injured dogs from this place, ask for a tour and see what I'm talking about, so obvious from their response they would rather sling mud than fix problems. It was an okay experience. They did a good job with grooming our golden retriever but the customer service and care of the grooming salon could use some improvement. We had to call and see if our dog was done being groomed since they didn't have our correct phone number, turns out she had been done for about 45 minutes. They also didn't trim our dogs nails. I can't say enough good things about this place! Staff is phenomenal! We received photos and personal messages about our dogs every day, and having an overnight person is a must for us. Amenities are amazing and super clean. I love the luxury suites as they are isolated and quiet. I love that daycare is included with kenneling, so it's not an additional cost and my babies get lots of fresh air. So me and my now wife went out of town for our wedding and needed to board our dogs so we did our research doggie paddles seemed like an excellent place so we called and got prices took the dogs in for a temperament test and half a day of doggie day care so we tought everything would be great so we dropped the dogs of to be boreded while we got married and they gave us the price it would cost so we budgeted around that price our entire trip called a few Times on the trip to check in on the dogs and to make sure the price was the same and they kept telling us the same price so today we get back and we went to pick up the dogs and they charged us close to $80 more then what they had been telling us we questioned them about it and they said well that's what it added up to so I'm not sure if the place is even truly competitent enough to board a dog. I feel quite cheated and am pretty angry I will never board a dog there again. Also my puppy came back way skinnier then when we dropped them off but every time you call to check in they tell you everything's fine I mean clearly this place can't do math but I can and over charged plus skinny dogs equals bull shit service thank you. Then the owner manager tries to make you look dumb when he don't know that we booked it and told them many times it was two dogs boarded separately in two different sweets the stupid just continues not a good business ethic here guys read more

I'm not one to complain or have a suspicious mind but we didn't have the best experience here. I was really excited too. The main reason I picked it was bc they do open play for the dogs. I didn't want her kenneled alllll day. Our dog is a little nervous Nelly with dogs but she's young so I thought it'd be a great experience for her. They assured me that they'd have her with dogs that meshed well and she'd warm right up. We were told they'd send videos and pictures. Now, I'm not a complainer and I 100% understand how kenneling can be crazy. But don't promise things that you can't do. Our 3 yo was so sad about leaving her dog and was waiting on updates. It wasn't until I called and requested them, we finally received three. The 3 pictures she was alone. I asked if she played with other dogs. They said she was put with a calmer group and she played...fast forward the next day, today, we picked her up. She is a totally different dog. She was literally bouncing off the walls, not a bit tired, has a pustule infection on her mouth and nose but worst of all... She's peeing all over our house. She hasn't even attempted to let us know. Literally pissing from one end to the other. This is a dog that was potty trained. I'm not sure what happened but something did. Either she wasn't taken out much and has now developed a UTI from holding it too long or they let them piss where ever they want. Needless to say, wasn't a good experience for us and we won't be back. read more

This is a horrible business, would not recommend anyone to take there pet there especially to be groomed. We ended up leaving with our dogs grooming session not being finished and having cuts on her body. The groomer is horrible and the owners are even worse. We walked Into the business hearing the groomer talking bad about our dog and us as owners. We've been taking our Labradoodle into another groomer every four weeks and unfortunately had to switch to this poorly ran business. Also last time I checked, it's not professional to have your employees wear a cut off T-shirt. And let your groomer play on her cell phone while cutting a dogs hair. read more

I bought my dog in specifically for training. I told Courtney areas I needed help in--putting leach on without difficulty, jumping wildly, nipping, pulling when walking. She assured me that this could be addressed and would take about 2 weeks.. I also added that I would like her to swim. I was told this could be added. I was to pay $50 three days a week for 2 weeks. I would get daily reports and videos. At the end of week one--no videos or reports. I left a message for her and she messaged me back that she took the report home with her, and for the weekend to just practice saying "wait". This week, again no video on Monday. Took my dog in Wednesday morning and was told no trainer there. At this point I had to leave my dog as I had another place to be. As for the swimming, I believed that only occurred 2 times. Other days I was told Labs have to swim first so there wasn't time for my dog. When I reported this to the owner, she said at least I wasn't charged for it! Who does business like this?! When I asked for a refund, the owner said they met their agreement to train my dog 15 minutes 2 times a day. First I ever heard of this! I have now read just a few of the negative reviews for this place, and realize that the owner always puts the fault back on the customer! An old annoying ploy! My message here is don't go to Doggy Paddles for dog training! They may be good at other things but not that. read more

I'm very unhappy with Doggie Paddles caring about my problem. They don't seem to be concerned at all. They lost an afghan my dogs are very fond of and lay on and no one seems to want to find it. I was told it may be in the laundry but that was 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't shown up. I don't know how they can lose something as large as an afghan. I don't want to accuse anyone bit it makes me wonder if it was stolen. I've called 6 times asking for the owner or supervisor to call me and have not received a call. read more

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I brought in my newly adopted Great Dane. The female groomer told me that my dogs odor was most likely from a bacteria/fungal skin infection and simply bathing her would not be enough, the odor would return the same day. So I took her to the vet the next day and the groomer was right. She had a skin condition hat required antibiotics. The groomer saved me money and frustration. As soon as my pup was treated, she went back to the groomer and revived a great bath and pedi! read more

My puppy grew up here! They also are capable of teaching your dog how to swim, they even have life jackets for beginner dogs! My pupper was so afraid of the water, and just couldn't bring himself to jump into the pool. Now he's practically an "instructor" teaching other dogs to jump in! I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else! These people clearly know what they are doing, and know what makes my dog happy. I think the best part about it is that he comes home exhausted from a day of just playing with so many new friends. Well, after reading reviews I was very excited to leave my dogs for a weekend. My dogs were to be boarded together in the same cage for the weekend and I added on swimming. A friend of mine picked up the dogs for me on Sunday so I would not be charged an extra day. My friend picked up the dogs and they sent the WRONG dog home with friend!!! This dog was in my home with my puppy for 5hr until I got home and noticed that they sent the wrong German Shepherd! I had to return the wrong dog and pick up my dog, which was thankfully still there. No one noticed that Jack Smith was missing or that my GS was there, but my puppy was not! I am sure Jack Smith's family did not get a call stating that they sent him to the wrong home! When I asked how this can happen when my dog's were to be boarded together, I got attitude from woman working there and lame excuses about new employees. They didn't even apologize or act like it was a big deal. Glad that Jack Smith was a nice dog and my friend and puppy did not get hurt.
