I have now had two wonderful experiences with Vincent. The first grooming was for a dog that was found on the street, and he was taken to several groomers prior to Vincent, where he was nipping? Biting? I informed Vincent, and he reassured me everything would go smoothly, and it did!!! Eli received a great cut. Zoey was long overdue for a cut and received a beautiful trim, and Vincent plucked all the hair from her ears, really an incredible job. Added pictures Zoey is black, Eli white. We have been using Doggie Style as a groomer for 5 years - 2 years at the Graduate Hospital location and 3 years at the Narberth location. After our experience yesterday, we will never return. The groomer cut our 13 year old long haired German shepherd's nail too close and didn't manage the bleeding. We weren't notified he was cut. When asked, she said it stopped bleeding immediately, but there was dried blood on his paw when I put him in our car and it continued to bleed for 3 hours after. Not to mention they deviated from his normal service, even though it was communicated that we wanted what he always receives. The manager of the Narberth location was not helpful when I called to discuss these issues. Before he spoke to the groomer, he insisted the nail didn't happen under their care, as he wasn't notified and there was no blood on their floor. He suggested it happened on our walk out to the car. Not sure how that's possible since there was dried blood on my dog and fresh blood smeared all over my floor and car for hours after. read more

I had gone to this location many times before when it was Bow Wow Meow. When I had to pick up some gifts for a friend's dog I decided to stop off at Doggie Style. If you had been there before, Doggie Style is very similar. The layout and merchandise are alike. However, Doggie Style has dogs for adoption. Doggie Style is huge compared to other pet stores. It is like a Costco for dogs. They have a large variety of pet supplies for all sorts of animals including dogs, cats and birds. I ended up picking up a large dog chew and a rope toy. I really like how this place has a dog adoption center. Even better is that they have a variety of dogs. While there I saw what looked to be mostly mutts, but they were cute. If I'm acquiring another dog I would definitely think about adopting from here. The staff here is very nice. They kindly asked me if I needed any help. My main concern was with the lack of reptile and small mammal equipment available. Parking is limited, but I seemed to find a spot. Best of all my friend's dog, Pitch, loved the gifts I brought him. Came in here to buy dog food and found out how they have a self serve dog wash. I have a husky and a shepherd and the tub was big enough to fit both. 10 dollars for everything (water, shampoo, towels, dryer) except a brush (which I bought). The woman at the desk was very friendly. I did feel bad because my husky literally shed hair everywhere (did my best to clean it all Up). The hair didn't phase the woman or anything. This place is awesome and I plan to Use this place for future washes. Beats paying over 100 at groomers. read more

Incredibly friendly staff! We adopted two (2) dogs here on two separate occasions. We continue to go back to get their nails clipped, as well as purchase accessories. I even started volunteering by walking dogs once each week. The place must by wildly popular in Narberth, because as we walk our pups around town everyone knows their name, having seen them at Doggie Style. Had a horrific experience getting my dog groomed here. I made an appointment 6 weeks in advance. I dropped off my miniature dachshund and an hour later got a phone call saying that they accidentally cut her and she needs to go to be taken to the vet immediately. As you can see in the photo, this was not your average innocent mistake. It was completely negligent. I am a firm believer that mistakes happen and we are all human, but this isn't just a nick or a cut, this was significant. The groomer took off a whole layer of skin off of my timid, 7 pound, not even fluffy dog. She had to get put under anesthesia and received stitches and staples. The location offered to pay for the vet bill- it's the least they can do. I asked numerous times what groomer did this, was it their first day? I got no straight answer. My sister in law called the next day as her dog was scheduled to be groomed there and they told her we had a groomer in training and assured her she wouldn't have that. I was NEVER told my dog was getting a groomer in training. I certainly wasn't paying groomer in training prices. I will never trust this place to touch my dog ever again and neither should you. read more

Came here for grooming with Theresa and she did a terrible job. From the very beginning consultation she was hostile and rude and it only got much worst from there. We got him back and he was actually still wet, his cut is crazy uneven all over his face, and the one thing I asked was that she not cut his eyelashes which she literally shaved completely off! Most importantly my dog who's had hundreds of grooms before has been hiding ever since he got back home which is not common. She did seem very abrasive from the get go so I'm worried she may have been too rough with him which really upsets me I've never seen him react in this way. The front desk was really nice and apologetic about our experience they even gave us 25% off for the fact that she shaved off his eyelashes but unfortunately it doesn't come close to making up for the fact that my dog is visibly upset and it's physically the worst groom he's ever had. read more

This is a great place for pet supplies but I was really disappointed in how they treated my dog when I brought her in for grooming - seeing her shoved in a locker, and handled harshly was upsetting - it is a bad sign when they go to great lengths to prevent anyone from seeing inside the grooming area and I was only able to get a couple of quick peeks in, so I was very nervous to think what else is happening inside! read more

I've been bringing my two small long hair daschunds to be groomed there for a few years. This place was completely negligent. They cut my 5 pound dog so badly to the point she needed to be stitched up multiple times and put under anesthesia twice. The worst part about it was, it was a groomer in training that cut her, which we found out from a family member who asked about the circumstance a few days after the incident prior to bringing their dog to get groomed, and was assured that their dog would be getting groomed from one of the trained groomers. We certainly weren't paying for groomer in training prices. We also made arrangements 2 months in advance to get the dogs groomed so it wasn't like they were fitting us in. They paid for the surgery for my dog, the least they could do. Now I'm dealing with a wound that just won't heal. For a dog that had very minimal hair, I question how they could possibly cut a dog this badly. The groomer in training was either blind or stupid, and now my little Milly will have a horrible scar for the rest of her life. Owners beware!! read more

This is the second poor experience we have had with this location. The first time they mistakenly deleted our appointment and today one of the desk staff rolled her eyes multiple times and gave me a hard time because they lost our paper work. I get it that things happen, but customer service is important. If you can't have a conversation, be polite and not roll your eyes, perhaps customer service is not for you. In response to the reply from "the team", I don't mind providing documentation, we actually chose a groomer that requires it. What I do object to is eye rolling, rescue dogs off leash and charging customers and dogs, and rudeness. Thanks for the invite back. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

Found two ticks on my dog. I did some research and decided to buy Seresto tick collar at Doggie Style. My dog had a bad reaction to the collar, his neck broke out in sores. Ended up at the vets. And, we decided on a different plan for my dog. I thought returning the collar would be a hassle, but I was wrong. The store manager, Karen, was very nice. And, I was able to return the collar. I have been here now twice. I love it and plan to go back many times in the future. It's clean, open, bright, and inviting. Both times I've been in I was greeted and spoken to like I was a valued customer (something that was sorely lacking from Buzzy's). What a great experience! Customer service was awesome start to finish (even though I was late... ) and my puppy is so fresh and clean and looking good! We have a 6 month old toy poodle so we were actually scared in taking him anywhere because we don't want him to look too "poodle-y". We talked with Danielle and she understood completely! She was also so nice and made him feel at home. She kept her word and he looks awesome. Highly recommend!! In May I adopted a 9 month old Husky/Shepherd mix. Since the 1st day I brought her home, Darby (Know as Ezra to Doggie Style) and I have been inseparable!!!! The front staff here was incredibly nice, but one of there groomers was very rude to me and refused to cut my dog's hair when it took me a few extra minutes to find her rabies vaccine. Additionally, when she rescheduled me it was for a different groomer even though she was available that day. She continued to be rude for no reason while I was there. I would not recommend taking your pet her to get groomed, although I cannot speak to their other services. read more

The groomers are really good with my doggo, and I like that you can peek through the glass in the entranceway to check on the pups! I have two small dogs and one is a senior dog who is not doing so well. Therese has been grooming both dogs for about a year. Yesterday she went above and beyond for Zoe, my senior pup. Zoe's hair has become very fine and mats easily. Therese asked if she could cut around the mats because it was too painful for Zoe to get combed out. I agreed. When I went to pick the dogs up, Therese was very unhappy with the way Zoe looked and we both agreed that she should get buzzed down. Therese let me hold Zoe and she could not have been kinder or more gentle with both Zoe and me. I am touched and grateful. read more

I rarely ever bother to write reviews, but I was so disappointed by my latest experience at Doggie Style in Narberth. I have a 4-year old Lhasa Apso mix. He is a rescue and I suspect that he was not groomed frequently before I adopted him a few months ago. The first time I took him to Doggie Style he was groomed by Tom, who did a great job. He did tell me that he had a rough time with him but was very nice about it and told me it wasn't an uncommon thing. I left a nice tip and thanked him. I came back about two weeks ago for another groom with Therese. She was extremely rude right off the bat. It was actually very jarring. I think there were some notes that my dog snapped the last time he was groomed. She could not have been more rude about making it known that she would not groom him if he tried to bite. That is entirely reasonable, but she was so incredibly rude and disrespectful about it. I inquired about how long it would take to groom him and she snapped, "Well it could take over two hours if he doesn't behave himself." It was just a very unprofessional interaction. I came back later to pick him up. His cut was SO uneven around the face and she didn't bother to cut the nails on his front paws at all. He also seemed in so much more distressed afterwards than he did with Tom, the first groomer. I was honestly so shocked, I just paid my bill and left. I stopped by doggie style pets today for the first time with my goldendoodle and the staff were nothing but professional. I was so happy to know that I didn't have to travel to South Street just to get Cooper's special brand dog food. Everything that they had on display in the store was simply fantastic. Now I have a place to go that's closer to home and a very nice place for Cooper, he had a great time today. I'm so happy that I found this place and I highly recommend it. read more
