Best groomer, loves dogs more than anyone I know. She even rushed my dog to the vet when she called me because my dog had heart disease and she described her breathing as abnormal. I took my Lhasa Apso just for a nail trim as she normally has a vet tech do it, but they were way too slammed today. At home, she makes a fuss, but I'm always told she's an angel for them. Anyway, Allie was really great with her. I heard no peep from my little Madam and Allie was kind enough to even clip the matted fur from between her pads, which is also something that can be difficult to achieve at home. I have been grooming (shaving her down) at home since she was a puppy and was once badly injured by a groomer, making me too afraid to leave her with anyone for that again, but I think just maybe she'll have a proper haircut soon, and I would trust Allie for sure. read more

We have been taking our two Cavachon dogs to Allie's shop every two months for the past 1 1/2 yrs. I am always impressed with the care and the great grooming job she does with them. They look like new dogs with their snow cone paws and beautiful trimming. Before Allie, I tried to groom them myself and I clearly know how challenging it is to groom a dog and yet I am always impressed on the professional job she does on them. I certainly don't know who would advertise in bold letters on their own personal car about the dangers of leaving their dog in a hot car without having the love and passion for them. read more

Chris and Allie are great! This is the only groomer I have taken my little Dexter too and I have no reason to really try anywhere else. It's walking distance from my house and they do a fantastic job! They have always had time slots available whenever I have called in and it's down right insane how clean Dex looks when he comes out of there! He also smells SO good and the amazing smell lasts like a good couple days. Can't tell you how the actual grooming is because the owner called and said my dog is dangerous and needs to be tranquilized in order to be groomed and that she can't groom him. Should've listened to the negative reviews and my gut after she looked visibly disgusted and irritated that my dog had an accident on the floor (completely normal for a dog to do when smelling other dogs who have been there before him). Went and picked up my dog who looked extremely stressed out and was breathing heavily but I was relieved to get him out of there. No other groomer has ever said this about him, and he's generally wonderful with people. Will make sure to do my research next time before taking him somewhere else. read more

I am not sure what all these negative reviews are about because Allie is EXCEPTIONAL with my dogs. I used to bring my shitzu Max (who has since passed from old age) and my Maltese Bella to Allie for grooming. Both dogs are always cut and bathed to perfection and Allie is always pleasant. Bella can be a bit feisty but Allie knows exactly how to work with her. I think you cannot go wrong by bringing your dog to Allie. She is a dog owner and lover!! read more

The other two reviews are obviously friends or family to the store owners. I have taken my dog to three or four groomers and NEVER have I been so insulted or irritated as I was this morning. I should have known by the lady's rude phone manners when I called to set the appointment, but I gave her the benefit of the doub and showed up this morning for my 8am appointment. I woke up early to make it to the appointment and was greeted by two insults as I walked in the door. My dog has a mohawk and the dude who works there said "What's wrong with his bangs" and "why would someone do that to him?" ummm, because I paid them to. Long story short, they REFUSED to cut his hair the way I had asked and looked at me like I was crazy. These people do NOT seem like "dog people" and I would not trust my animal there, ever. bad vibes, i tell ya. read more

If you've got a pet and you live in the Montrose / La Crescenta area, they'll make sure that you're happy with your grooming, or a nail trim, or just about anything else. They remember me, are incredibly affordable, and always remember my cat's name when I take him in to get his nails clipped. I'd do it myself, but quite honestly I think my cat knows what he could get away with and would flay my arm after I clipped the third nail in. Also, they have a signed picture of Miley Ray Cyrus on the back wall, which might count for something. This is the only place I take my pups to. My family comes here and my job (a vet hospital) recommends this business too. What does that say? My dogs are well taken care of and also just as important DO NOT SIT IN A CAGE ALL DAY. Some places make you drop your pet off and then they don't get to them for a few hours leaving them to sit in a cage all day long!! This place is affordable and I recommend them all the time!! Ever since moving to the Yucaipa area I haven't been able to find a new groomer that does a great job like Allie did. We have 4 dogs, all rescues, so they all have different backgrounds. Allie always took such great care of our fur babies! Friends of mine who still live in the area pointed out the negative reviews from the mean spirited people (looks like from 1 family) that have tried to malign Allies great reputation. It's appalling that people like those even own dogs! If they're this mean to people that can defend themselves, who knows how mean they are to their own dogs! My recommendation is a lawsuit for intentional business interference and defamation of character! I work with lots of attorneys who just may be interested in teaching people like that a lesson! read more
