This is a long over due review. But if you're looking for a great groomer who is compassionate and knowledgeable. Then this is your place! Unfortunately, I was one of the many victims of the Eaton canyon fire. Who lost their home. To my surprise I received a phone call from our groomer asking if they could be of any help to us. To where I shared our misfortune. People, when I say I was overwhelmed by the compassion and love shown by them, it's an understatement. They care about people and their animals. I couldn't get my dog's to them right away but they reassured me that they'd be here to help in anyway possible. And sure enough when I reached out they took them in immediately. And made my pups look brand new and included a greatly appreciated discount considering circumstances. I followed Vicente (groomer) from another local grooming shop. Best decision ever! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Decided to support a local Small business but realized it was a mistake after I picked up my dog today. They cut his "mail" and his paw is bleeding, poor guy couldn't even walk half a block without leaving bloody paw prints. And I even tipped them not noticing or realizing until I left, which I quickly returned to the store a few minutes later to have them clean his bloody paw. Will never return here again and advise for you not to go here. I usually get his anal gland expelled, and his nails cut at Crescenta Valley Veterinary on Foothill and will definitely go back to doing that as this was the worst experience. Our cat had a massive mat on your hind end. She is very particular about being handled so I wasn't sure that bringing her to be groomed was a good idea. We were pleasantly surprised when we picked her up to find that she was purring and happy and looked amazing. They somehow managed to get the mat off her hind end without shaving that area. I understand that things have gone up in price. As a community we accept that and pay for it happily to make sure our community continues. This pet salon is actually SCAMMING customers now with an additional $25 as well as 15 percent service charges. Why? If your dog is alive essentially you will get hit with that secret up charge and they will say it's a handling fee. There is no other salon available so that's why they can take you in same day but I understand why now. They DO NOT tell You anything in advance and there's no prior warning. The little convo the lady has about age of the dog is just for her to know how she should explain why she will charge you after and only after services are rendered. You do not belong in our community therefore please leave. I urge all dog owners to NOT TAKE YOUR HEALTHY DOG to this place that not only scams you they just straight shave your dog. No other salon has ever even heard of such a fee. A lot of people I told either laughed or had a same experience at this salon. SHAME SHAME SHAME. I believe the front lady is a part owner of some kind so don't let her do the "let me ask the manager" line. read more

I have two labradoodles and will only be taking them here from now on. We live in Mar Vista, and will be driving out there every 4-6 weeks, that should say everything given LA traffic! Margie is absolutely wonderful, and so accommodating in scheduling a date and time that worked for us. It was our first time and we only got one of our babies groomed, but she looked absolutely beautiful. We could finally see her gorgeous eyes! We didn't give any guidance on how to cut or style her, and she looked absolutely perfect. We already have an appointment for both our dogs in 4 weeks. Finding a responsible groomer was something that really stressed me out when we got a breed that would need regular grooming, but thankfully we have Margie and this salon, and I don't worry at all that they will be well taken care of. Whether you live near the salon or not, it is absolutely worth the drive. read more

I want to preface this review by saying that I have never had any prior issues with this salon, Claudia has been wonderful and my dog has never had any cuts or injuries from getting groomed here. I have been a loyal customer for years, getting my dog Gia groomed here every two months. Today, I took her for her grooming where I normally pay $75 (prices went up since the pandemic and I happily obliged then) and Claudia and I got to talking about Gia's skin and how she has some bumps on her back. I was asked how old Gia is (she's 10) and was told that I would now be charged $100 for today's grooming and going forward because there's an additional $25 senior dog handling fee for dogs over 9 years old. I was really surprised but paid the $100 plus tip and left but then got to thinking - why would it cost extra to groom a senior dog vs. a younger dog. Yes, my dog has bumps on her back but she's had them for years and she is a gentle dog. I asked around and no other salons around here are charging a senior dog fee. I just checked the website and there is no senior dog fee listed, but there is a "difficult dog fee" of $10-20 but I've always been told that my dog behaved well during grooming. No $25 senior fee. I'm really disappointed about this new fee that isn't listed anywhere and unfortunately, I won't be bringing my dog here anymore or recommending this salon to people I know. $100 for a bath & haircut for a 14 lb. dog is just too much for me. And I don't see how anyone else with a senior dog is going to be okay with this when there are so many other salons in town. read more
