I've been coming here for 3 years. For the past year and a half my dog would return bleeding from her nails because they would cut them too short. I would brush it off and remind them the next time I would go to please watch how short they would go. On Friday Nov. 6, the owner of the shop, Kim, returned my dog with major cuts close to her eyes. When I went in to pick her up, Kim insisted on handing me my dog backwards so she wouldn't "scratch me", but once I got into my car I noticed her eyes and realized that she handed her to me in that way so I wouldn't see her face. Out of anger and worry I cried and couldn't get the courage to walk back in and tell them something. I went home and had my boyfriend call them and confront them. Kim claimed that they "tried to tell me" but that is bs. I was in there chatting with the cashier and exchanging money so I can leave a tip. I was in the shop long enough for her to tell me what happened. Now my dog is left with major cuts that can lead to infection and may have scaring in that area. I wish I had the courage to walk in there and demand an explanation but I didn't. I DO NOT recommend anyone to bring their fur babies here no matter how inexpensive they are. read more

INSANELY LONG WAIT - CASH ONLY Just paid my last visit here for sure. Dispite having made an appointment my dog was ready 8 hours later! The girl said it was because she had 5 dogs in front of her, I asked how was that possible when they had just opened and isn't the point of an appointment to have the time reserved for my dog. My dog needed a wash and most importantly a haircut, so I decided to try this place because I was close by. They were very nice and they even accommodated me as a walk-in with their other appointments that day. They told me it would take a little longer than normal since their appointments were first priority which I understood and was okay with. To my surprise I receive a call 2 hours later and she tells me my dog was ready to be picked up. I show up and pay and I give her a tip because my dog was looking nice :). As the lady walked over to me with my dog she brushes my dogs back with her hand and says "lets get rid of that extra hair". I don't think anything of it since my dog just got her hair cut and there's gonna be loose hairs flying around.The lady hands me my dog and I carry her to the car. I open the door and put my dog in the car and I notice something on the sleeves of my long sleeve shirt. My arms, chest and stomach were COMPLETELY covered in hair!!!! A few hairs here and there would be understandable but it literally looked like they rolled my dog in a pile of hair. I look over at my dog and she starts shaking herself inside the car and the hairs start flying all over. I was so upset I didn't want to go back inside and deal with the lady. Why would my dog be covered in hair??? It ruined the rest of my day. I had to drive home to change my clothes, give my dog a bath, and get my car detailed. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. There was hair everywhere!!! read more

TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. I saw this place driving by and decided when I rescued a terrier mix dog I would use a local business. This one seemed to be the right one when I called and made an appointment for a week later. The price for a shampoo and minor clean up of my dogs scruff seemed fair. Dropped him off when the day came and 2 and a half hours later called because I had not heard from them yet that he was done. Mind you this puppy that I am trying to socialize and train was held in a cage all of this time and that they were just about to work on him. I said fine. Picked him up and was satisfied. So I decided it was time for another shampoo and minor clean up again. Made an appointment on a Thursday for that Saturday at 1pm. I drop the lil guy off. They take him asking me what I was charged the time before, which I thought was odd. I was honest, told ok. And left him at 1 pm. 3.5 hours later I call only to be told he's the last one of the day. I waited around all this time to be told this. Unsatisfied I arrive back there and it's almost 5 pm. He's still in the cage all this time. I ask what the hell?! I'm told its 3-4 hours for a grooming. Not even what I asked for. I said this is absurd and demand him given back to me. The person makes a comment, "well did you make an appointment this morning?" Completely irrelevant if that's the reason she was gonna go with and no I hadn't. I gave a good piece of my mind and left. Now my dog is angry and untrusting of me as I write this. AWFUL, AWFUL, BUSINESS PRACTICE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK NOR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. read more

I'm writing on behalf of my mother's experience: As far as grooming.. This place did a decent job. However, it took about nine hours for my dog to get groomed. When my sister went to pick him up she called to my dog and he didn't do anything.. He just laid there (which is not normal for him whatsoever). She kept calling his name but he didn't seem to care or understand. When she took him home he was so disoriented and could not hear anything.. It almost seemed like he was drugged or something. The next day we noticed that his behavior or his hearing had not changed. We noticed that he had some kind of puss coming out of his ear so we realized he had an ear infection. I don't know what they did over there while they groomed him but my dog has not been the same since then. He is still being treated for the ear infection and has lost hearing in his ear. I will never take my dog here again or recommend this place. read more

My dog had an appointment at 10:30am. He was ready at 7:15 PM!!!!!! My poor dog is blind and was locked in a cage all that time. Now he is traumatized and will not move around like he used to. He is too disoriented STILL. Horrible and cruel. The 1 star is for the fact that they did a good job grooming but it was not worth the torture. Never again will my dog be back. The people here are really nice and really sweet and they've always been very friendly. They give great baths and cuts at a great price. The first time he got a bath it was $15.00 (3 lbs), when he got his hair cut it was $30.00 (4 lbs), and this time it was $20.00 (9 lbs). When I first got my puppy they gave him a bath and cleaned him up really nice. They give great baths and real basic grooming. My puppy has always come out clean with nice rounded paws, clean ears and clipped nails. In fact, this deserves 5 stars. I do, however, feel compelled to knock off stars because they keep making my Westie look like a Schnauzer or a Scottish Terrier every time they give him a hair cut. I brought him in for a cut a few weeks after we got him because it was hot hot hot and he was furry furry furry. So we agreed on a puppy cut and they asked if I wanted to get him started on his Westie cut so of course I said yes. That one came out okay. I would give that three stars because his head was originally round and they kind of angled it out a bit but not too bad. The rest of his hair was a bit short for my liking but it was even. I also like my puppy shaggy so I may be a bit biased there. Today was Labor Day and they were open and my pup needed a quick trim around his paws, his eyes and his ears needed a bit of a trim as well so we brought him in and I fully expected to get my puppy back as shaggy as I left him minus a little bit around his eyes, ears and paws. BOY OH BOY... Not only did they cut the hair around his head...they made it all angular AGAIN. But this time it was significantly worst! My Westie looked like a Schnauzer wannabe! On top of that, they cut it so short that his head is now smaller than his body. My boyfriend was more forgiving and did mention that the lady that normally helps us wasn't there today. In the past they've given the pup pig ears and treats when he won't be quiet because it keeps him occupied which has always been fine with me, though they never let me know until after the fact. While I don't know if they gave him anything today, he did throw up and have diarrhea when he got back. I may bring him back for a bath with specific directions not to get near the hair on my pup's face with scissors, shears or anything that can cut because they really do a great job with baths. However, I have learned my lesson. My puppy will be driven back to Pasadena when he needs any type of trimming, even if it's just around the eyes. read more

After my last review I have been back twice now, and have received exceptional service over all. The first time back I received my pup quicker then I had ever received my pup before. This past time it had taken considerably longer like the first time back, but I'll assume that it was because there was many other dogs. Love this place. Only place that can handle my crazy dog with no complaints. Get over the fact that it takes long sometimes. So does Petsmart. They tell you ahead of time how long it's going to take, so don't complain if you agreed to it. If you want it done in 30 mins or less, order a pizza or call a mobile groomer.
