I have debated back and forth with myself about writing this review, but I feel I must speak up on behalf of my dog. This was our 3rd grooming at Wagging Tails. The grooming has been only so so. But this time my dog came home injured. When I picked him up, he was shaking so badly in the crate that I held him until I got home. I set him on the floor at home and he cried holding up his front paw. I could then see that the paw pad was almost completely cut off. The hair on the paw was pink as if he had bled and someone tried to wash it off. It was 2 days before I could find a vet who would see him and the pad had to be completely removed. He needs 2 weeks of antibiotics and pain pills and no walking. I understand accidents can happen. But the fact that the groomer tried to cover it up and didn't tell me is unforgivable. I should note that there was a child and two other adults present while she was the only one working. Very unprofessional and put my dogs safety at risk. read more

I was referred to Wagging Tails for my maltipoo Lily. I have tried numerous groomers in my area in the three years that I have had her and pretty much always experienced the same: overpriced and long wait times. My Lily suffers from separation anxiety and leaving her at the groomer for four or five hours is very difficult on her. Susan had her done in less than an hour and a half after I dropped her off! She did a fabulous job on Lily and even put cute little bows on her ears which now almost two weeks later are still there! I need to let you know that since COVID, I put off getting Lily to the groomer and when I got her to Susan, her fur was long and matted :( Normally, any other groomer would have shaved her pretty much bald but when I went to pick her up, she looked beautiful!! My dog looks great and was ready to be picked up in less than 3 hours! I have had at least 10 other groomers who all say they know how to groom a labradoodle but every time I pick him up, his face is shaved like a poodle and his tail is puffed out like a pom pom. Not this time! I gave my very specific list of requests (length of coat, treatment of face, eyes, and snout), plucking of ear hair, fluffiness of legs, etc. This is the first groomer who actually did exactly what I wanted. The best thing is that he was not in a kennel all day. I always make an appointment for his grooming but for some reason all other groomers keep him like 6 hours. I know most of that time he is caged up needlessly. I dropped Phoenix off at 9:15 and he was home by 12 noon. All that and he looks great. We will be back. read more

Found this shop because it's local and in the walking distance. Took my pups in for regular cleaning. Both are short hair and cooperative so should be fairly easy. Their coats are cleaned and brushed. But ears were still dirty with visible goo, nailed were trimmed but not filed, from neck up still had dirty smell. Staff were friendly and appears to be very busy. Honest opinion, We Wouldn't go back. Will try another shop next time read more

My dog is a 70lb big happy goofball and has been going to this groomer for over two years now. I got a call telling me that he is getting too big and they can't handle him anymore. They also said that he snapped at one of the groomers but the day he did that he came back with a cut on his eye brow. A good groomer can handle any situation and any size dog. Sad you can't find good people these days! The last time I picked up my dog the assistant went to get him for me and left a dog on the table and he fell off and was hanging by the collar she ran over to get him. Wagging Tails has lower prices than other groomers, but it is not worth it. Every time I would pick my dog up from there I would find her so anxious, frazzled, and stressed out. So much so, that it would take until the next day for her to be back to normal. The last straw was: when I went to pick up my dog, I saw the lady, Sue, kicking a large dog that she was bathing. She did not notice that I had walked in. (I waited outside for a while to see if I could catch the dog's owner to tell them what I had seen the lady do to her dog). I was very bothered by this incident. Since then I have used other groomers and my dog comes out fine, not the least bit rattled or agitated --- a totally different reaction compared to when I would pick her up from Wagging Tails. I recommend others to spend a little bit more money and take their pet somewhere else where they will be respected and treated right. read more

I just got a call that after 2 years of grooming my 70 pound goofball dog they can no longer handle him. They also said that he snapped at the assistant but the day that I picked him up he had a cut on his eyebrow! When I went to pick up my dog the Assistant went to get him for me and left a little dog on the table and he slipped off and was hanging by his collar and she rushed over to help him! I know everyone and every business can have an off day but I am stunned that there are any bad reviews for Sue and Wagging Tails Pet Grooming. When my groomer suddenly closed, she was recommended by a friend who has had her Old English Sheep dogs done by Sue for many years. She has been doing my Lhasa Apso now for several years and I have always been happy. Not thrilled, but he is unafraid to go into the shop. She normally calls in a couple of hours for pick up. Now that he is older and suffers from doggie dementia, she has even made special allowances for him to come in early to lower the stress. Is she the best groomer EVER? Probably not. But she is very good and I'm always happy with Bogey. As I said, I'm stunned that there are ANY bad reviews. read more

Not that good, a super cut for dogs. Don't even want to take the time to style my dog. Always wanted to shave it all and say it is matted even my dog have not even matted. Go some where else. Not worth it. I have used them for a while always same thing. Never again I will bring my dog back. I have been very happy with the treatment and grooming my dogs get here. On one occasion, Sue discovered that my dog had ticks embedded on her face....(several days her face was red and blood marks and I couldn't figure it out). She and her daughter painstackingly removed all the ticks. They were so caring and concerned. I took her to the vet afterward, and they don't even remove ticks!
