I have watched Doggieville Ranch from afar for years, as my sister lives nearby and her dog gets to visit this canine wonderland regularly. Recently, I was visiting and my girl got to join her doggie cousin for a play day and overnight. Everything from a dog's perspective is perfect, from the space to play, to ponds, to well facilitated shenanigans at whatever engagement level they are comfortable with. But the true test comes when you pick your dog up. She was tired, but calm. She was 100% comfortable with Trudy, and she was in no hurry to leave. Thank you Doggieville from me and Franny, and the only "con" is that since I live in Hillsboro, it will be rare that we get to visit again. A local business owner recommended Doggieville Ranch for my young pup and boy were they spot on. Trudy is the best! She is both firm and loving at the same time. I was reluctant to leave our younger puppy for 11 days but Trudy made it an amazing experience. She was so welcoming and open to multiple questions and any special requests. She was diligent about responding to any texts and posted sweet photos on social media so that we could see how he was doing. On pick-up day, we could tell that our pup was well cared for; he was clean and happy. I will definitely take him there again, whether it is for a longer trip, or just for some daycare hours. We were so lucky to find Doggieville Ranch for our dog Mija to stay for our family reunion in Sun River. We don't live in Oregon so I did a lot of research and read all the reviews before I felt confident in leaving our dog. I love the fact that our dog was part of her home, no cages, in fact was told that Mija actually slept on her bed at night. I especially loved the honesty with Trudy after I left when she said that Mija seemed a little nervous but should adjust well. (completed understandable as our dog is always with us). The next day she sent me pictures of her tongue hanging out and playing with the other dogs. She had adjusted just fine and I could tell she was having fun. One of her photos she sent me was literally picture postcard perfect. I am a grandmother of 6 grandkids but that day I was showing everyone pictures of my dog. We had an in-home dog/house sitter lined up to take care of Finn, our two-year-old chocolate lab, during Thanksgiving week so we could travel to Seattle for our daughter's wedding and to celebrate the holiday. She canceled, and we didn't know where to turn. Fortunately I ran across Doggieville Ranch on the internet and contacted Trudy to see if they had any openings. She asked us to bring Finn out for a meet and greet. They immediately bonded, and she approved to take him. We brought Finn out for daycare a couple of times so he would be used to the surroundings. Each time he came home so tired and happy. Each dog has their own favorite about visiting: Captain loves to play with all his friends on the beautiful grounds, Rosetta loves to run and then lounge in one of the pools and Axle loves being a second shadow to Trudy. We are so glad we found this place! We only had our dog for a few weeks and had to go out of town. We did not want get our regular dogsitter who goes to work each day because we did not want our dog to feel stressed being alone. Now Doggieville Ranch is his second home. He was treated as one of the family. No kennels or cages and dogs to place with all day. Plus a pond! What more could a dog want? He did agree to come home with us but we could tell he would have been happy to stay there as well. He paid Trudy as much attention as he gave us. My dog, Onyx, has been going to Doggieville for over two years. I met Trudy for the first time in tears as Onyx was so out of control. I really needed help. He went to "boot camp" intensive training, living with Trudy for a week, and came back a different dog. Everyone who had met him before commented on my good boy. Onyx goes to day care twice a week and has boarded occasionally as well. He loves going to Doggieville to see Trudy, Larry and all his friends. Doggieville Ranch is fantastic. Trudy is amazing with Dogs, and has created a really fun, safe environment. My 90LB male 16 month old lab a real handful, I could not handle walking him myself. Trudy took him for two weeks of intensive training, and WOW - life changing! All his issues were addressed, and I now walking him is enjoyable for both of us. He actually comes when he is called, heels, sits, all the good things! We are first time dog owners and weren't really sure about leaving our 10 month old puppy anywhere but a client recommended me to Larry and Trudy at Doggieville so I made my way over there to check it out.
