I have only used DoggieWalks for dogsitting, so I can't speak to their walking services. My experience has been in 2023. All but one of their reviews seem to be from several years ago, before the company changed ownership. It seems like this used to be a great company. Under the new ownership, it seems like a mismanaged company that can't be trusted -- at least for dogsitting. The dogsitter herself seems great and my two dogs really liked her. She watched my dogs at her place twice in 2023. The first time -- a short stay -- all seemed good. The second time -- a week and a half -- my dogs and all of their things (beds, leashes, toys, etc.) came back smelling disgustingly musty. It turned out that their beds were moldy! (They were not moldy before the dog sitting.) I had to bathe my dogs and wash their stuff twice to get the smell out. But I still had to throw out one of the dog beds because the mold would not come out. Luckily, my dogs haven't gotten sick from the mold (at least not yet). When I reported all this to the DoggieWalks administrator, her response was "not a problem." In addition, the billing and customer service leave a ton to be desired. Both times I used DoggieWalks, they tried to overcharge me. The first time, they sent me an invoice with an amount that made no sense. I wrote back to explain what I thought the total should be, based on their rates, and they wrote back to agree. They gave me instructions for paying by Venmo. It didn't seem like a big deal the first time. The second time, a few days went by and I had not received an invoice. I honestly wondered if they were delaying it because they were trying to figure out how much of a discount to give me due to the mold conditions. Nope -- several days after picking up my dogs, I got an email and a text from them asking me when I was going to pay the invoice that they had supposedly sent. Their email mentioned an amount but did not attach an invoice. I wrote back to say that I never got an invoice and I needed to see it before paying because the amount they mentioned seemed high. Later they emailed me not an invoice (which apparently didn't exist, despite their claims to have sent it to me), but screenshots from their system showing how much I owed. It was $120 less than the amount they had put in their email asking when I was going to pay! They didn't provide payment instructions, so I asked for them. The response was "Shoud be in your Venmo." What kind of customer service is that? Then they gave me a name that doesn't exist in Venmo (it's a person's name, not DoggieWalks). I had to write back for clarification before receiving the correct name to Venmo. The billing was finally straightened out, after 12 emails and texts back and forth, with no apologies, no explanations, no discounts offered. Use this company at your own risk... read more

Doggiewalks has been the SAVING GRACE of being a new puppy mom! We started with them when we got my golden retriever / chow mix, Izzy at 8 weeks old. They would come by and play with her and give her so much love when I was at work. This was pre-puppy shots so she couldn't go outside yet. She has been doing puppy daycare since she was 14 weeks and everyone is amazing. She has the life - going to Crissy Field, Lafayette Park and more from 10 - 3 every day. She is exhausted and happy when I get home from work and the value and happiness we get is worth every penny. She is obsessed with her regular walker, Cyn, and has made lots of puppy friends. I am incredibly grateful for Doggiewalks, one of their dog walkers essentially saved my blind dog, Frances' life. I was out of town visiting my husband and had Frances taken care of by my regular pet sitter (non-doggiewalks personnel) and he was at work for the day. Somehow, Frances found a way to jump out my bedroom window about 5 feet to the ground and out into the street. She was found wandering our neighborhood by Oscar, a Doggiewalks walker. He called Nicole immediately and they agreed to take her to the humane society so she was safe and not at risk of being hit by a car seeing as she is completely blind. Nicole quickly asked neighbors about how to get ahold of me and she called me once she found my number. My pet sitter immediately went to the shelter to pick up Frances but I am forever grateful for Doggiewalks time and efforts to safely get her somewhere she wouldn't be harmed. Now Nicole walks Frances intermittently and I trust her inherently. As I mentioned Frances is completely blind so not just anyone can walk her or make her comfortable but Frances loves going out with Nicole and I can tell she feels safe and gets lots of exercise when with her. We have a very high maintenence/has issues/high-engergy/rescue dog named Penny, and Nicole and Liz know just how to handle her! Which we are very grateful for! Penny goes out with Nicole or Liz three times a week in a small group. My husband and I always wonder what she does on these walks. She gets picked up at home, loaded in the car with other dogs, gets taken to a park. Has her adventures(sometimes misadventures) and then gets dropped back off at home again. I contacted Doggiewalks because I was starting to get the guilt stare from my pup. You know the one, with those eyes that say 'I love you so much, why don't you love me enough to take me to the beach? It takes so little to make me happy...' It works when I have pizza crusts and it worked this time too...I called around to a lot of difference places, but the crew at Doggiewalks was the most responsive and responsible out of all the businesses I contacted. While it's pretty clear that everyone there loves and understands dogs, equally important, for me, is how they treat the non-furry customers: all the walkers I've had have been consistent, professional, prompt, quick with communication (even when I've dropped the ball on my end, oops) and genuinely friendly. They're awesome with the 'real' clients as well. I noticed for example, that the walkers make Shark (my dog--my shark's name is Cat, it's v confusing) sit before putting on his lead. Something that I know I should do, but have gotten lazy about. Lo and behold, he's now better trained when I walk him. Which actually turns out to be more often and for longer than I used to, because he's now calmer, better behaved and can sit at a cafe like a gentleman, instead of lunging at random tourists hoping to be adopted by a better family. In summary, I no longer feel guilty and Shark is a calmer, happier and more socialized animal. Granted he still sheds like crazy, and has recently taken to farting in his sleep from what I believe is an excess of happiness, but that's my cross to bear. We've been clients of Doggiewalks for over a year now and could not be happier with their communication, service and general love for our 1 year old golden retriever. We found them initially when our guy was still too little to go on group walks but as soon as he had all of his shots they welcomed him with open arms. He is so well socialized thanks in large part to Doggiewalks. Through their doggie daycare program he gets to go to multiple parks in one day and interact with pups of all sizes. I have a high energy Standard Poodle and a miniature poodle. I learned the dogwalker I was using was driving the dogs three blocks up to Buena Vista Park and spent his time standing around talking while the dogs were busy getting into unmentionable garbage. The larger dog was clearly not getting enough exercise so was constantly getting into mischief at home. Carly and Rocky started going with the Doggiewalks team in November, 2014 and it has been a fantastic experience! They go berserk when the person arrives and go on several different adventures during the week. The are generally gone for about 2 hours and return contented and ready to nap. Pictures are sent periodically showing where they are going and show them having an absolute ball. I also used Doggiewalks to petsit for a 10 day period. The Standard Poodle got very ill while I was away and the petsitter immediately took her to the emergency vet nearby (she got sick late in the evening) and then followed up by taking her to my regular vet the next day. Throughout the whole ordeal I was kept informed via text and phone calls. She was given excellent care and fully recovered. I can't recommend Doggiewalks enough. I would highly recommend Doggiewalks to anyone looking for a dog walker in the city. I have a 2 year old Shepherd mix puppy who is full of energy. Joce takes Cooper on his daily outings and he comes back exhausted. There are times where we will be home while Joce comes to pick Cooper up, and we have seen him get very excited to see her. I know that he looks forward to his walks everyday. I can tell that Joce is very educated on dogs and does pay attention to Cooper and notices anything different. She will let us know if his stool is soft, or if he has been itching his ears more commonly, or just anything unusual. The play groups are never too much for one dog walker to handle. This was very important to us since our dog is very active and loves to run around. Great experience with Doggiewalks and look forward to continuing their services. read more

I too needed a last minute cat sitter and I was leaving for three weeks. To make matters worse my cat had been sick (GI problems) and I was completely stressed about leaving this 14 year old cat behind. I was able to arrange a meeting with Nicole almost immediately--she came to my apartment and did a quick assessment. I had little choice except to go with her (leap of faith!) and it worked out perfectly. She checked in with me regularly and responded quickly to my own e-mails, texts and phone calls. My cat started throwing up (the aforementioned GI problem) and Nicole and I were able to talk and come up with a plan that made me feel like everything was fine (she is a very level-headed person). In addition, Nicole knew that I was running low on cat food ($55 at the vet's office) and got me the same prescription food for $16. The peace of mind I got out of having Nicole come to my house every day (30 minutes), brush my cat, clean the cat box, etc. was unmeasurable. I know for a fact that I will have Nicole cat sit for me the next time I go out of town. DoggieWalks is a Godsend. Nicole is a dedicated dog lover and is willing to work with you to help find a good fit for you and your dog. We got our dog as a rescue from the shelter. We were still learning more about her, but knew that she needed to get her puppy energy out during the day. Our first walker through DoggieWalks was not a good fit and we were scrambling to figure out a good solution for Kona, but we stuck by DoggieWalks because of the good reviews and because Nicole seemed committed to helping us out. Nicole worked with her walkers to find someone who is knowledgeable about dogs and who could handle Kona. We've only been working together for a short while, but the beginning of things always has some speed bumps and learning curves and we're glad we stuck with Nicole. Kona is a happy pup now that she gets to go play with others. Camisha, the dog walker, is already teaching Kona some of the ropes, and as a result we have a tired better behaved pooch at the end of the day. We found Nicole & Francy on Yelp a few months ago after bringing home our puppy, Henry the French Bulldog. Times got desperate when Henry started eating entire chunks of his pee pads out of boredom, and coming home everyday at lunch was starting to get old. My boyfriend and I had reached out to several other walkers in SF, and Nicole was the only one who responded to me the same day everyday. Since then, Nicole has remained extremely responsive anytime we have updates or concerns which is quite important when it comes to the care of our little one! Francy feeds Henry lunch, takes him out with a playgroup for 1-2 hours each day, and leaves Henry with a treat for the afternoon. We get pictures at least once a week of Henry and his playgroup friends, and people at the local dog parks recognize Henry from his daily walks with Doggiewalks which is awesome. Both Francy and Nicole are great with dogs- during our first meeting, Nicole gave us great pointers for training and it was clear that Henry loved both of them from day 1. Today, we *usually* come home to Henry sleeping soundly... he's still a puppy and still has a knack from trouble :-) But for the most part, Doggiewalks makes the lives of Henry and his puppy parents much, much easier! I've been a client of DoggieWalks for more than five years and I wouldn't switch to another service for all the dog treats in the world! Our Abby is a Treeing Walker Coon Hound and we live in the city with no yard at all. Her daily off-leash time with the Doggiewalks walkers is the highlight of her day. For me, they are flexible, reliable, trustworthy and completely client-centered. For Abby, they are devoted dog lovers who treat her like a queen. The best part is that Doggiewalks also does boarding. We travel often and I can always count on one of the Doggiewalks walkers to take Abby into his or her home for her own vacation. I often get texts with photos and little video snippets of Abby and her playgroup mates while she's with her walkers. They also keep me up to speed on her snacking and bathroom habits (TMI, but it's necessary :). We found Doggiewalks a week after we adopted our 4 month old puppy Brie. Brie suffers from dysplasia in all four legs, and Doggiewalks worked closely with us to form a custom walking plan that worked for Brie's physical limitations and needs. They also continued to work with us through Brie's surgeries, helping with her rehabilitation. We've now been with Doggiewalks for more than a year. Nicole and Caroline are extremely responsive and understanding. All the Doggiewalks crew are responsible and their love for dogs is tangible. Cyd and Nate have been our primary walkers for more than a year, and Brie absolutely loves them. When Brie started demonstrating some toy guarding behavior, Nicole and all the walkers worked with Brie to manage the behavior and allow Brie to stay in her group walks. Nicole and Caroline and their crew are outstanding! They have taken such great care of Rafi. I have noticed that he has learned a lot from all of his walkers-- he is more social, and well behaved. When I started, he was just 6 months and I was terrified that he would run away off leash. He has a learned a lot and I am more and more comfortable letting him roam, and he is soooo much better at recall. I have been at home a few times when Sofia, Tanner, Nate, Tanya come to pick him up, and he goes bonkers when he sees them (especially you Sofia!!) and forgets about me. I am a resident so occasionally I have night shifts, and Nicole and Caroline have been so accommodating in arranging night watches/cancelling day walks for me. It has really been a godsend.
