I have been a client of theirs since early 2022 and used them extensively. It is such a blessing to have found Rachelle and Doggone Awesome Pet Services. In the over 30 years that I have been a dog and cat owner, it was such a relief to finally have found a pet sitting service as good as Doggone Awesome Pet Sitters. Rachelle Pape and her team are so loving and dedicated to the animals in their care. No one can compare to them. The list of things that make them great is long! They send an update with photos after each visit - multiple times a day! We can enjoy our vacation so much better seeing these frequent updates. And even for "daycare" if they come walk the dogs twice in a day when I am at work, they send pics of all of my pets each visit. The communication is fantastic! Rachelle and her team are so responsive. They use a website for reservations which works out so well. And the email communication through the website is also perfect. I usually use them once a week for "daycare" purposes and I have also used them many times for extended vacation weeks. I have them stay overnight when I am on vacation. I trust them completely!! When I first found Doggone Awesome Pet Services in early 2022, I needed someone to give my diabetic cat an insulin shot twice a day. Cats are inherently shy and distrusting of strangers, but Rachelle was able to give Punky a shot twice a day, every day that we were gone!! Recently, I started fostering a dog (in addition to my own dog), and Rachelle and her sister both jumped in right away to come spend some time with the new dog and assess his behavior so that when I needed the once a week visit there would be no issues. I have recommended Doggone Awesome to a couple of my neighbors who also are thrilled with the service. Rachelle typically does a meet and great with each new client free of charge. I have two very small dogs, one who is afraid to be without me or her brother and a small, moody chihuahua. Salvatore is extremely protective, if I am around he will not go to anyone...except Rachel that is. She came and met Sal and Sophia and by the end of our meet and greet Sal was becoming her friend. Because of my dogs size and personalities it is impossible to have them at a commercial daycare so in home pet service is the best choice for us.
