Dr. Nancy Irvine is wonderful. She went over my cat's vet and health history with me very thoroughly before taking a blood sample and some skin scrapings for testing. She talked to me like I'm an intelligent adult and shared with me her line of thinking every step of the way. She answered my emails in a timely manner and always felt like she was presenting me with every option available. The diagnostic tests were kind of expensive as well as treatments and further testing, but my cat is my baby and I'd do anything to help her feel better. The facility is nice and clean with a big reception area and exam rooms. All of the staff I encountered are very nice and helpful. They even called me the day after my cat's growth removal to make sure that she was responding well to the medications she was given. I very much recommend them.

Took him in was not even home yet and my phone rings told me he had matted hair and would need to be cut closer no problem. I just want him to be groomed. The next call was about aggression and she couldn't finish him because he snapped at the blow dryer. The next phone call was come and get him. When I picked him up the bill was 45.00 higher then quoted for a dog my size. His hair cut is a mess. Uneven he looks sad. before I left she gave me a phone number to another groomer that does grooming to sedated animals You must be nuts to think that I would use anyone you recommend I was also told your dog is not a fit for our salon AKA Don't come back !

I explained that she needed constant reassurance and responded well to talking and petting, but she didn't respond well to be rushed or ganged up on like some salons do. She said they would do their best and kinda quit listening while worked with something on the desk. In about 2 hours received a text saying my dog done and we could pick her up, As soon as we were at the desk paying the girl stated our dog who I had told them was anxious tried to bite the groomer. I guess despite telling them that she had acute anxiety and needed lots of reassurance they overlooked that! My dog's cut was ok at first but, upon closer looks her cut was irregular. The left was cut and it was nice, but the right side was only washed and brushed. It wasn't trimmed like the other side. The girl suggested that the next time she has to get her hair trimmed, give her CPDs! My dog is NOT a biter and is not aggressive if given verbal reassurance and talked to by a confident person. So if you have a dog that has anxiety issues or fear, I unfortunately can't recommend The Barker Shop!

Took my Bernese Mountain dog here for the first time. The staff were really friendly and seemed to…read morework well with my dog. I set up an appointment online, but received a phone call because the appointment slot I made was not for a large dog. They got her in even sooner for a bath and brush only. We have never trimmed our Bernese Mountain dog ever because we enjoy her long hair and it's winter. We dropped her off and went shopping. Surprisingly they called early and said she was ready to pick up. She is always so excited when we pick her up so we didn't notice anything, but when we got home we noticed she had been fully trimmed. We were very disappointed that our long haired girl received a full trim for the very first time. Even her five inch long belly hair was shaved to a stubble and all of her long hair on her feet was gone. So I called to let the owner/manager know. She was apologetic and offered some money back but we didn't pay for a full haircut so I just wanted to let her know that we didn't receive what we had initially requested. The trim looked good, it's just not what we wanted. We will take our furry baby back there, but will make sure next time it's clearly understood what is wanted.

She was there all day, wet her cage but they didn't clean it out. And they didn't even bandage her. All they did was tell me that they wanted to give her surgery to remove it, after I had gotten to the office and was crying my eyes out. Then no one told the front desk lady that I needed to schedule surgery so I had to explain it to her between bouts of crying in front of everyone in the waiting room. I was given surgery papers with conflicting amounts for the procedure. I scheduled it for a month away but in the meantime I had to teach myself how to clean and bandage her with videos on Youtube. It got better so I cancelled surgery and I'm never going back.
