You can see pictures for communications and decide for yourself, but I wanted to share my experience incase this is not the place for your pup, especially if they have medication needs like mine did. When I picked her up, a caretaker had to physically lift her from the couch and carry her out. I wish I didn't just take a photo, but a video. Piper had stayed many times before but this was the first since she developed diabetes. I was told they could still care for her. Every time prior she would get "tummy issues" because she was a nervous dog and that cutesy language was enough to communicate in instances prior. This last time, not so much. I wish that this did not happen and i was not writing this review. I wish that I could have given my pet a better end if this was her ultimate end because of her diabetes. I hope that DogMode takes Piper's end and uses clear and direct language moving forward. On a customer care note I also will convey that when I went in to talk to the manager about my dogs death, I was told they could not meet and turned away. I had to return several hours later, in which time they took to call the emergency vet and illegally obtain my dogs records. I also felt a violation when I did get to speak with the manager when they insinuated my dog would have died anyway from her diabetes.

The first incident, which was fairly minor, our 4.5 month old pup was kenneled for an hour during play time, and they lied to me saying it was a "10 minute break" and only brought her back out after I called to ask where she was. The second incident in January, Kimber was 5.5 months old and was there for 11 hours. She was kenneled for 9 of those hours with no explanation from staff. She also contracted giardia and coccidia from this location- costing us in numerous vet visits for testing and medication. NOW the big incident! April 2026, at 7.5 months old we decided to give them another chance in a bit of an emergent situation when we needed care for Kimber. Kimber is 35lbs. They placed her in the play yard with 25-30 BIG dogs that were twice her size, with ONE human barely supervising. Her chart, that I updated the night before stated she was 35lbs. They lied to me and claimed it said 45lbs (I checked WHILE they were telling me this over the phone.) I demanded they move her back to the medium dogs and eventually they complied. Since then, Kimber's meetings with other dogs that are bigger than her have been concerning, with some red flag body language signs. All afternoon , the assigned staff was distracted and not paying attention to another dog humping her and another dog- also snapping at them and many other dogs. Upon pick up at 4pm that day, she has a HUGE gash in the side of her face. They have no explanation for this. We rushed her to the emergency vet, paid $916. This gash pierced her face all the way through. There is ABSOLUTELY no way a 7.5 month old PUPPY got bit that badly and didn't yelp. There was dried blood on her face, and likely blood on the floors. The vet said it didn't happen within the last 4 or 5 hours, so it happened sometime prior to noon, as the wound was already attempting to heal and curling in. My puppy was sedated for irrigation of the wound along with stitches. She needed antibiotics along with a cone and permanent damage/scarring. They refused to give me the names of the employees that were with my dog that day. Their managers play the pitty game and excuse their customer service flaws on their personal life problems- unprofessional. I received a call while on vacation a week after the above incident from one of the managers. They "completed their investigation" and finished reviewing footage. She said our dog was happy and playing all day and the injury is from a play, and therefore they claim they are not responsible for it. Despite us telling her that we understand play bites happen and our issue lies with the fact that our dog was in their care all day with an OPEN BLEEDING HOLE IN HER FACE. Our issue lies with the fact that they FAILED to "notice" a hole in her face all day because "she didn't want to be petted" and failed to alert us so she could get vet care. All the manager had to say was "well it doesn't matter what we say to you. You're unhappy every single time you bring her in anyway." I then brought up all incidents from January to now and asked her if I was in the wrong for being "unhappy." Her response was "well dog daycare isn't for everyone. If you don't like how we run our business, then don't bring your dog here." She was less than pleased about my reviews across different platforms as well. *I should add, I understand things happen. Dogs communicate in their own way. You can't prevent these things sometimes. Im not blaming them for the injury itself. My issue lies with the fact that they ignored this wound on her face. They claim they "didn't notice." And let it go all day with no call to us. This would be a very different situation had this been reported to us immediately. * AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.

We finally found our daycare! Having moved from out of state, we were looking for the perfect…read moredaycare for our baby dog and Fetch is IT. Our pup has been going to daycare since he was 16 weeks old (couple times a week) mainly for socialization or whenever we were working/out of town so he's very social and friendly. He's 3 years old now. Prior to this, we had found a daycare that was under 10 minutes away from our home, but every time we'd pick him up, he didn't seem tired (like he'd normally be after daycare), he started developing different behavioral problems at the dog park (very new, he's frequently around other dogs) and he was becoming highly anxious. I knew something was up. I pulled him from that daycare and gave Fetch a call. The staff at Fetch made us feel welcome and assured me that they had a large space, lots of staff members so the dogs were sure to be safe and just enough structure so the dogs wouldn't get into trouble - yet nothing too crazy since it's a daycare after all. They also offer training as well! The other plus is they do offer curbside pickup/dropoff if you need it. Fetch is 20 minutes from home and we make the effort to go here several times a week because our pup loves it here - his face lights up when we pull up to the building. Thank you!!

Lots structures for dogs to play on. The dogs get a lot of interaction and exercise. While it took his paws some time to tough up to the hard surfaces, I appreciate that that means he's always fairly clean vs playing in dirt and gravel. They've been proactive about communicating any issues they notice on him, like his paw sensitivity which has since resolved itself. All of the employees seem to really enjoy being there and their jobs. I appreciate that they are open for pickup until 7pm! They also offer affordable upgrades for bath or pool time. I imagine this place wouldn't work out for people visiting SLC because you'd have to arrange a fecal test, vaccine paperwork, and a trial day before they'll schedule you. It's worth noting that they also don't allow unfixed/neutered dogs and since we waited 1.5 years, we weren't able to visit until more recently. The one thing I wish they had is crates to enforce some "calm down" time for our overly excitable pup.
