    Nancy is the absolute best with my Luna girl! We've been going to Nancy since Luna was a pup, and I completely trust her and the entire Doghouse Grooming team. They're reliable, provide amazing service, and genuinely love the dogs they care for. Luna can be a bit wild, but she absolutely adores the team and always comes home looking (and smelling!) great. We always feel welcome and appreciated -- highly recommend! They also offer Adventure Day, which Luna loves! It's the perfect way for her to burn off energy. Adrian and Nancy make sure all the dogs are safe and well cared for during the hikes. Luna has a blast hanging with the pack, and she even gets a quick wash before coming home. It's been such a wonderful experience all around.

    I saw this place driving past it a few times, and wanted to check and see if I could get an appointment, yup, went home got my pup and took her down there, I live only 5 minutes away, so it was an easy commute. My little girl finally got groomed for the first time. Fantastic job on her

    I really don't like leaving negative reviews for local businesses, but unfortunately this experience was too significant not to share. We brought in our Samoyed mix and provided very clear verbal instructions along with a reference photo of the desired groom. Instead, when we picked her up, she had been completely shaved. For a long-haired, double-coated breed, this is not just a cosmetic issue--it can affect their ability to properly regulate temperature and maintain coat health. I would expect a dog person let alone a groomer know this. It's also explicitly not what we asked for AND we were charged extra for "dematting". I'm honestly struggling to understand how this outcome happened given the clear guidance we provided. If there were concerns about achieving the requested style, we would have appreciated a conversation beforehand rather than a result that cannot be undone. Additionally paying extra for a bogus fee for a botched groom is not pono. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Clear communication and setting expectations are critical--especially when working with breeds that require specific grooming knowledge.

    The sweetest dog people work here. Immediately upon walking in I saw happy bougie dogs getting their hair did and knew that this was the SPOT for my fur babies. We only popped in for a quick nail trim which was the quickest and nicest experience. The dogs got their pawdicure in 10 minutes- 5 min per dog with the dremel. Honestly will probably bring back the pups in the future for a full blown spa day sometime. Highly recommend!

    We have always gone to Petco, but after the groomer who my pup loved shut down her schedule I had to find another. It's hard looking for a good groomer who will accept an older dog, even if my baby still looks like a baby but Doghouse Grooming was the first to get back to me, and walked me through everything. We were booked with Lyndsea, and as nervous as I am when meeting new people, i'm ten times as nervous leaving my baby with someone new. But Lyndsea was the sweetest! My dog immediately jumped to her, almost forgot to give me a kiss goodbye. The energy at this little doggy salon is immaculate! It's clean and doesn't smell like wet dog , I could see in the back where the other pups all seemed to really be having a nice time waiting for their parents or to get their haircut. And picking up my baby, he was so happy to see me but he seemed very content and comfortable here. Something i made a note of in my mind because it gave me a peace of mind. I have two other little ones at home, short haired, who will be booked soon for spa days. THANK YOU DOGHOUSE GROOMING!

    Just find another groomer! Horrible experience. Being new to the area, I checked Yelp for a dog groomer that specialized in Golden Doodles. My boys are five years old, and have traveled all over the mainland with us; I've used about seven different groomers in the locations we've visited. This was the FIRST place that SHAVED my Doodles tail. They called me and said "due to safety of the dog we need to shave his tail." I told them NO! I told them to leave it, and I would take care of his tail. I told them during drop off not to cut the ears or shave the tail when they asked. So, the representative at the front desk handed the phone to the groomer who told me that she ALREADY SHAVED HIS TAIL. She said that 99.9% of clients shave the tails. I responded to her that I guess I'm the .01% that doesn't want the tail shaved, and I'm the only one in this case that matters! I'm not exactly sure what I said at this point because I was astonished with the crap that was coming out of the groomers mouth trying to defend what she'd just done. The best part was when I went to pick up my boys. I asked to talk with the manager/owner. She came out, & the first thing she said was that she wasn't supposed to be there that day--what the heck! I couldn't believe my ears. She even had the nerve to charge me almost $300 for grooming my dogs, although not based on my instructions. The owner sent a follow up message to me later that day, not to apologize, or take responsibility but to say there was a miscommunication. There was NO miscommunication! I told them not to do something & they took it upon themselves to ignore the owners direction. I might have considered giving them another chance if the owners would have just apologized & taken responsibility for her groomer's actions.

    I have to leave a second review for this place. I want to thank Nancy for taking care of Telas nails on sat. Our German shep is not the biggest fan of other pets and this place accommodated us at the end of the day to make it an easy appt for Tela. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. She loves people and our Rottie at home. So thank you for being the new go to place for both of our pups!

    Got us in quickly after our dog came home from the mainland. He was is desperate need of a spa day and wow did they ever put in work on him. He walked out happy and fresh, did a great job on his super curly doodle hair. His before and after pictures speak for themselves.

    Our last groomer retired, so we were on a hunt for a new groomer and one in our area. I reached out to Doghouse Grooming, and to my surprise, was able to get an appointment the same weekend! Gizmo's hair had gotten so long that we could barely see his eyes. Needless to say, he was in desperate need of a haircut. Thank you SO much, Nancy, for fitting us in at the last minute and doing such a great job! His cut is exactly what we asked for. I wish I had taken a before picture, but here he is after... :) Ps. The shop is very spacious, bright & clean. There's lots of parking and in the Pearl City area, super convenient for us! We'll see you in 6wks!

    I have a Shih Apso (Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso mix) who just hates to be groomed. He's ok with being bathed, not his favorite, but he'll tolerate it. When it comes to having his hair or nails cut, HE HATES IT. I was grooming him myself because I was always worried how he would be treated since he's so difficult and it would take me literally hours to finish him (I also read articles in the past about pets dying from overheating or just things happening at the pet groomers). What can I say, he's my baby! I finally decided to look for someone and found Nancy at Doghouse Grooming. I noticed all the good reviews, so decided to give her try. I absolutely love her! My dog still isn't happy to have his haircut, but at least I know I'm taking him to someone that I can trust. Her store has a big window so that you can see them working. She lets the dogs roam around freely while other dogs are being worked, but also has kennels in the back if needed. There was a time where I had to bring my dog back the following week because she wasn't able to finish him and didn't want to stress him out much longer, again, because he's so difficult, so she squeezed me into her busy schedule the following week. I would recommend her to anyone needing a place to take their dog(s).

    My babies first time here and it was Amazing! Of course they were a little nervous probably feeding off of my emotions, but the salon let's the dogs walk around and relax first before starting on them which I think it helps a lot. When I came back to pick them up they were so clean and happy. The stylists their are all so nice and patient. I love the fact they open early and take walk ins for quick nail trims/buffing which I have a hard time doing. I will see you guys in a few weeks

I asked that Maddie only receive a bath, blow dry, and nail trim (no haircut), and Christina followed every instruction perfectly, including using Maddie's special shampoo. Maddie came back looking beautiful! Extra fluffy, fresh, not matted at all, and most importantly, calm and in great spirits. What really stood out was Christina's kindness and genuine care. She took time to talk with me before and after the appointment, never made me feel rushed, and clearly treats the pets she works with like they're her own. The treats were such a sweet touch too! Thank you, Christina, for taking such great care of my girl!

    This was a disappointing visit. I scheduled an appointment for 12:30 PM to have my two Frenchies…read moregroomed. When I called ahead, I specifically asked if there were any requirements or documentation needed, and I was told no because Hawaii does not require rabies documentation. When I arrived, they asked if my dog had any allergies, and I explained that he does not, but he does experience seizures occasionally. The woman at the counter with long hair and a ponytail spoke with the manager, and I was then informed they could not groom him because of the seizures. They asked if he was on medication, which he is, and whether the seizures were triggered by noise, which they are not. I explained they only happen every few months. While I understand policies are policies and I did not argue their decision, it was frustrating to find this out only after arriving for the appointment. The manager did provide me with a recommendation for another groomer, which I appreciated. The manager answered my questions and gave me options for types of trimmers that I could use at home. However, the customer service afterward was what truly disappointed me. I mentioned I no longer wanted my other dog groomed but was interested in purchasing nail trimmers. The manager asked an employee to assist me. The employee walked away, and I followed her, but then lost sight of where she went. I eventually found her sitting at the front of the store waiting for someone else to bring the item. When she finally acknowledged me, she simply said, "Oh, I'm waiting for them to bring it to me." The issue was not the wait itself, it was the lack of communication. I was left standing there confused, having to look for the employee, only to find her sitting down without ever telling me what was going on. Overall, this experience could have been handled much better with clearer communication and stronger customer service.
