I got stood up for lunch today and found this place on Yelp. I'm so glad that I decided to go eat by myself. The entire staff was super friendly and we had a very enjoyable conversation at the bar. The concept behind this place is exactly what I've always wanted in a restaurant. It is a third place type vibe, meaning a place you would want to spend your time other than work or home. We went for lunch on a Sunday. The food was edible, but didn't seem fresh. The deviled eggs were good and the chili tater tots were very good, according to my husband. I had a simple salad, which was pretty fresh, but my French dip sandwich was dry on the edges and chewy in some parts. My husband and son had hot dogs that were ok, but how can you mess up a hot dog, really. My son's fries were cold, old and salty. The drinks were delicious - I had (2) strawberry daiquiris and my husband had a French 75. Service was outstanding. Our server was very attentive and kind. All of the food and drinks were prompt. They have a beautiful patio and comfy seats perfect for big groups!! The alcoholic drinks spectacular and delicious especially the Gryffindor. During the cold season, in the patio they have the best heaters to keep you warm which makes this amazing. The food is absolutely delicious! My go to is either their meat pizzas or the buffalo chicken. It comes with everything for the price you are paying for. Son-in law said let's try out a place we haven't been. The food was excellent, I had one of the burgers on toasted bread. It was on of the best I have ever had and I've eaten a lot of burgers and all over the USA. My wife had one of the hotdogs and it was loaded down. Our two grandkids had a lot of fun because they have all type of games to play. Whether you play pac-man or cards or any of the board games it's all free. Forgot what my daughter and son-n-law had to eat but they really enjoyed their dinner. And the fries they served were really good and a large portion. I went to this place for my birthday. They have all types of board games, video games, and arcade style games. You can also play trivia games with other patrons at the restaurant while you enjoy your dinner or drinks. The atmosphere and ambiance has a "medieval times" theme. I believe their specialty is burgers and pizzas. I, unfortunately, ordered a nacho appetizer that was made with kettle chips, processed chicken strips, melted cheese and barbecue sauce. The best thing about it was the chips. I did not enjoy it all. I also ordered tacos and they give you the option of flour or corn tortillas. I guess I should've asked if they were hard or soft shell. The pull pork tacos on hard corn shells were not appeasing either. I ordered three strawberry daiquiris. I was told that each drink was made with 2 ounces of rum, however, I did not taste the alcohol in the drink until I ordered a shot of rum to float on the top of the last 2 drinks. My family and I visited Dogmud Tavern for the first time on Thursday night, and we couldn't possibly be happier with our experience. The food was good, and there were plenty of choices. I had a chicken sandwich that featured a thick, juicy, perfectly cooked chicken breast, dressed well and served with flavorful potato chips. My wife had a chicken and bacon quesadilla, and my son had a specialty pizza. Everyone enjoyed their food, and we could not think of a negative point at all. The beverages were wonderful, particularly the gaming-themed drinks. My wife had a lemon and blueberry concoction that was smooth and sweet. My son also had a nice dessert, a par-baked cookie covered in chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and willing to spend time at the table, answering questions and checking on us at the appropriate times. We discovered that we had arrived just as Trivia Night was getting started--as this was our first time there, we did not participate but certainly would if we go there on another Thursday night. The gaming decor was delightful, and my son immediately proclaimed that it was his new favorite place. We certainly won't hesitate to chose Dogmud Tavern again.
