There's not many vegan options in Jackson, very slim pickings actually, but I'm so happy I found this restaurant!! My boyfriend just asked me if I could eat Italian as a vegan, but I told him no, but thankfully I found this elegant place. First and foremost, it's located on the top floor next to Char. There's NO dress code, but I didn't see anyone in casual wear either. Primarily saw dates and a few families, but no loud and rowdy children running around screaming. Thank goodness! If you are vegan, you need to specify that with your server initially because the bread that they serve to the table isn't vegan. I love how there's multiple veg options. We ordered the portobella mushroom appetizer and it was delicious! I got mine with vegan bread. The hummus is tasty and smooth. The mushroom had the juiciness of a beef steak. The vegano was by far the best veg pizza I've ever tasted. It was so flavorful and had many textures. Lightly dusted with cashew parm and drizzled with a balsamic vinegarette glaze. Sweet and savory. My boyfriend had the linguine with the crawfish tails; he said that you need to put your tongue on that shite. I was surprised when our waitress said that there was ONE veg dessert. Usually, restaurants have ZERO options for my sweet tooth. The chocolate cake is rich with hints of fruit, ganache, raspberry coli, and a coconut whip. It was incredibly moist, but not dense. Rating this 4 stars mainly because the price is on the higher side, but the employees are always nice, which makes up for it a bit. We were staying overnight and decided to give Bravo a try. Didn't expect much, I mean Italian in Jackson MS! Wow were we wrong. The Italian food was very good. I had the Seafood Fettuccine Arrabbiata and it was delicious with plenty of seafood. Spouse had a chicken salad and it was loaded. Nice wine menu. We thought we were just dropping in for some food and on the end had a very present evening. Service was excellent: Attentive but not intrusive. Our first meal here was probably 30 years ago and while we don't go frequently, we always enjoy it when we do. They have great wood fired pizza. They make an amazing meatball. The pasta is always cooked perfectly al dente. We have GF friends who frequent here because they accommodate their dietary restrictions. On this night, we went after New Stage Theater. Aunt Robin and I both got the crawfish and andouille pasta but subbed angel hair. Mike got his usual, lasagna. Uncle jim was the healthy one with the grilled chicken and roasted sweet potato salad. I am Updating my review because my favorite meal is back! Penne pasta with beef "shoulder" tenderloin and ... OMG! This is the best thing ever created with a pasta! I do wish the beef was sliced and. It chunked since it's a little tougher than the previous version... BUT the flavors are so delicate and light and amazingly delicious that this is he only meal I can ever state is BEAUTIFUL to my sense of taste. Like have you ever seen something beautiful and had the feeling of AWE! Well this is that feeling in a sense of taste! LITERALLY BRAVO I've been going back monthly since I found it back on the menu last year! If you've never had this GET IT! So so so good. Stopped for a late lunch this week. Sat outside on the porch. Nadia was so helpful. Got the pizza of the day, the bruschetta (with cheese this time!), the duck ravioli, the lasagna, and the crème brûlée. The pizza 8/10 even though we typically don't love a white sauce pizza, it was solid. The bruschetta was 12/10, will definitely be back for this bad boy, it's soooooo good. The duck ravioli was solid but will probably try a different dish next time as the flavor profile wasn't what she was looking for. The lasagna was exceptional and massive portioned which made for a great lunch the following day. The crème brûlée was great again as well. Met a friend here for lunch. We arrived as they were opening so there was not wait for a table and our server came immediately with water and menus. He gave us ample time to review the menu and decide on what we wanted. (It took us a while so I truly appreciated his patience.) They have a nice sized drink menu and a good selection of appetizers and entrees. I ordered the lasagna which was a nice portion, not too big, not too small. It was piping hot upon arrival and it was delicious. I also liked the bread that was brought to the table. It was very soft and tasty. While we were there, the place filled up pretty quickly so it is a nice spot for lunch. This was my first visit to this establishment. I noticed that they offered happy hour every day so I went to check out their menu. Upon my arrival I was seated by the window, which I love, as im an avid people watcher. The restaurant was spacious yet still intimate, and good food all occasions. My server brought me my menu, bread & my drink. Let me tell you, their bread is as good as that brown bread from Cheesecake Factory, if not better. And that butter was soft and sweet. I would go back for that alone. I asked her about their happy hour menu and she informed me that the happy hour was only at the bar. A gentleman at the table next to me said something to her and she brought me the menu. It wasn't much that I was looking to try so I did stick with the main menu. My waitress helped me with choosing the lasagna and I love a good waiter/waitress that knows what their menu & people's preferences. That lasagna was SO good. Everything about our late lunch was excellent. We had a party of 20. Separate checks. The Saturday before Christmas. A celebration lunch. The manager was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. We were promptly seated. Barely had tine to wash our hands before the meal The waitress was extremely knowledgeable. It was a choice of brunch or dinner menu. We ordered off of both. Plenty of alcoholic drinks were ordered. All came out exactly as ordered, as did the tea, water and Cokes. The meals were out so we could bless the food and all eat together without anyone eating a cold meal. Portions were plentiful. Only one person was able to order dessert, even though several of us had planned to do so. We will definitely return to Bravo on our next trip to Jackson. I wish they would expand to Hattiesburg!! We really need a quality restaurant with these menu choices for brunch and dinner!! It has been a while since we dinned at Bravo's and we were pleasantly surprised at how good and reasonably priced it was. It is a great spot for lunch after church on Sunday. We have been twice now in the last three weeks and the food is really good, served hot, the waitstaff is attentive and it doesn't take long to get seated and served. Went to social hour at BRAVO! Italian Restaurant and Bar with two friends. I didn't know they had social hour so I was elated to try them out. The social hour menu has several items on it. Our server, Ava H., was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She took good care of us without hovering, which is very welcomed in my opinion. I ordered the fried polenta, which came with rosemary-infused mushrooms, and the half spinach salad. Let me say that the portion size is not your typical "happy hour" sizes. I was really surprised when the salad was sat in front of me. This was more than a side salad to me. The fried polenta was a bigger portion than I could have imagined as well. I enjoyed the fried polenta and mushrooms. I ate all of that dish. The mushrooms actually had the rosemary flavor and the polenta was not overfried and had the flavor of the mushroom juice. Enjoyed the dish a lot. I kept saying if the polenta had been sitting on top of some collard greens, the dish would have ranked as a 10 star dish. The spinach salad was good. I didn't finish it because it was big and I ate all of my polenta. Based on the portion sizes of my friends' dishes, I will only order one item next time. We sat outside, where the weather was great and you could people watch. The atmosphere couldn't have been better today. August 2, 2023 I was here with my friend. She loooves this place and comes here very often. For me, this was my fishy time. I ordered a Salman, cause its hard to mess up a salmon. Well I thought that way until I got it one side of the salmon was very hard cause they fried it so bad and it was veeeery oily. I ate 1/3 and couldn't eat no more. BUT the spaghetti which came with it was very tasty, I loved it. When I told to our servant about salmon being too fried, he tried his best to solve my complaint and even after him a manager (I assume) came up to me to check about salmon. I liked their attitude to me as a guest, trying to make it better. Soooo 10 out of 10 for the service/stuff and approving that "the guest is always right" is really means something at this place 8 out of 10 to the venue. I liked the atmosphere, tables were clean. 5 out of 10 to the food. I guess they need a new chef)) I will definitely be back and I'm recommending this place read more

Cook didn't leave it in the oven long enough. Cold in the middle. Reheated and was fine. Surprised they took served food back to the kitchen and then re-served it. I thought that was illegal in MS, but I could be wrong. Also brought us plenty of soft focacia bread we had with olive oil, but the oil they put on the table is NOT a quality product. Bravo's Scarpetta Wine Dinner on Monday, July 17th was superb. The pairing of the wines to the courses was bar-none. Chef Matt Mabry did an exceptional job, food was exquisite with great flavor and freshness. Jason Whitehead, Regional Sales Manager for Scarpetta, did a subtle and informative presentation of their wines and history. He did not pontificate on their products. He was pretty direct and forward. His and Chuck's knowledge and expertise was apparent Chuck, Bravo's man of the hour, did exceptionally well. He circulated amongst the guests and left his personal touch and passion to everyone. The staff was very courteous and professional, and interacted amongst the guests, instilling a sense of ownership and pleasure as well. The event started within an acceptable few minutes of the 6:30 pm start time. The pairing and tasting lasted approximately 3 hours. Each wine and course pairings definitely complemented each other. The flow and timing of food and wine was seamless to the guests. If it lasted longer it would have been too much, 15-20 minutes less is my preference. But, due to the number of patrons, service and food prep it is totally acceptable. Unlike other restaurants and pairings, Bravos dining area absorbed sound and loud activity. You could socialize and or listen to the presentations with very little noise distraction. In addition, Bravo's took consideration of meeting any food requirements pr restrictions, and accommodated the patron. The flow of wine and food went smoothly on the receiving end. The atmosphere and tone was established upfront. Chucks dynamic personality brought everyone one together and each person felt appreciated and special. The only thing I would recommend is that when circulating with the guests, show off the label and bottle, or display it, during each course. We have been a fan of Bravos cuisine since they opened, and have enjoyed each visit. We are looking forward to future events. read more

I came in for dinner tonight around 7:00 pm, there was a pretty good crowd, and I decided to sit at the food bar hoping to get quick service because I was STARVING from being stuck in a court room all day at work. When I tell you I was treated like I was THE most important person in that restaurant!!!!! My servers name was Destin, and I absolutely believe he is the best human I've ever met.
