I saw 2 people turned away at the check in desk for improper paperwork. This time I was in line less than 10 minutes and out the door in 15. I am not sure why this particular office does not get higher ratings. I have been going here for probably 20yrs and have never experienced anything but kindness from the staff. Over the years it has gotten quite busy here and the lines are long; leading to frustration. One new thing they are doing: there is now a person at the door going over and making sure you have the correct paperwork BEFORE you get in line. I thought I had all the correct paperwork, but Elaina who was working the door, went through it and pointed out one more item I needed. This helped me tremendously and I did not have to wait to get up to the counter to find out. Once I had the correct paperwork, Elaina sent me to the counter Krista then helped me. She was awesome! She took care of everything and I was out in a reasonable amount of time. Both Elaina and Krista represented the company in only the best of experience that day. read more

It's a toss up. Depending on the day/circumstances, it could be a 5 star review, or it could be a 0 star review. I do believe it depends on the individual you are working with. Last time I called, I asked a specific question, only to be given a lengthy all encompassing answer. When I asked for just the answer to my question, I was told in no uncertain terms that, if I would listen - and not interrupt - I would get my answer. Unfortunately, that answer was wrong and cost me $. We go elsewhere. read more

The High Ridge License office has came along way over the years. I used to dread the long wait and it seemed I never had everything I needed to license my car and was forced to come back. But, this visit was quick and the person who waited on me was very nice and professional. It helps that a lot of things like Personal Property Tax and insurance is already verified online. I went today to renew my license and it was a quick visit compared to many of the other locations I've been to in the past. The parking lot was packed and there were lots of people inside and outside waiting so I was nervous that it would take forever to get assistance. I grabbed a number and waited my turn. They had 3 workers handling motor vehicle registrations and other things related to vehicles. And there was 1 worker, Tammy, assisting with drivers licenses. I waited about 30-40 minutes for my turn and then she helped me with the real ID renewal. I provided all the documents needed and answered her questions. She worked quickly and efficiently and was quite friendly. I know dmv visits are never a great experience, but Tammy made this visit painless and I was able to get my photo updated after completing the vision and sign test. If I could give negative stars I would. During my experience. The DMV supervisor was rude when I asked their system it was my first time there. she rudely told me to get a number. when I got the number. I asked do I go to a window. She yelled no you wait til they call you. Already starting to have an Anxiety attack. The lady called me, I started explaining my paperwork. The window person was snide and rude. Causing me more stress just by standing there. I suffer from Major Mental Illness. She was so rude left in tears. read more

It is usually stressful to get all your information together to make sure all your bases are covered, but the staff here has gone over and above and they are so helpful! I really like the changes that have been made to this license office such as the number system, the free cookies, the comfortable chairs, a big screen television to watch while you wait and and air conditioner that will put frost on your nose so bring a jacket if you get cold easy. The time it takes to get in and out varies just like most businesses. If you wait till the end of the month expect longer waiting times, duh! Hats off to Hedi who was friendly and fast. If you have the required paperwork that is listed on your renewal it will save time and headaches. Went Saturday to get my daughter the REAL ID. Was told the information I gave was correct. Just needed to get original birth certificate. Waited one hour, but OK I get it. Go back Monday. A friend of hers walks in. Ugh can I be out of here by 5:30. Though many of us waiting quite awhile. Oh sure, come here and helps her in front of all of us. I finally get my turn. I put down original birth certificate and same paperwork that was good on Saturday. Lady says this won't work. I point to lady who helped me Saturday. She told me this all good. Lady says she doesn't make decisions. Also to stupid to know savings report only comes out quarterly. My child 8 years old. I showed what was workable. Another hour wasted. Yes, I know...five stars for a DMV? What am I thinking? Everyone hates the DMV. It's a horrific experience for any sane individual. Not this DMV though. I actually really enjoy going to this place. Well, enjoy for it being a DMV. When I had to get my license renewed, I decided that I would avoid my usual license office and their 1 hour wait at all costs. Since I had to be out in High Ridge anyway, I thought I'd give this one a try. What a shock. The people who work here are actually friendly. It's like they enjoy their job and they want to help you. I have no idea how that happened at a DMV, but low and behold, it does exist there in High Ridge. And better yet, since this place is a little off the beaten path, there's no line. You will not have to wait a long time to get anything here, plates, license, driving record...it will all come right out as quickly as you need it. I have now made this my regular DMV, even with the drive, I still get out faster than at my old DMV and the best part, I don't feel like everyone who works there has a death wish for the patrons. read more

This has got to be the worst DMV location I have been to. The ladies who work there are very and unhelpful and do not like to work there obviously. They had sent me away multiple times so I could gather more paperwork for them to give me an I'd. I had a house fire and lost most of my documents and had to get a translated copy of my birth certificate. Done. They needed to make sure I was a legal resident my green card was destroyed in the fire and I have the paper stating I was legal. I've lived here for over 27 years and have worked and payed taxes and have gone through the immigration process . I have proof of residency and have my ssn and card. Still they sent me away. I cannot believe the long wait here every single time I've been in over the years. Yes 5 windows, 3 people if you're lucky. Today, one of the patrons knew the person behind the counter. There is no way you will ever convince me the conversation that took place between these two did not slow down the transaction. At some point, the topic of a sick father came up and the man at the next window had to join in. All this with at least 12 people waiting, standing in line, on a Saturday.
