He also does more standard stuff like dog walking. Some general house sitting things too for when you're on vacation like getting the mail and watering plants. We've had Steve take care of our iguana twice and I have no complaints! I'm impressed with his enthusiasm and he's very good at keeping in touch with you and is easy to reach if you need to call him. Follows instructions well (as far as I could tell, I mean, my iguana didn't say anything) and even stayed a little extra time waiting for him to do his daily poops (sorry, Steve, I guess he doesn't go as fast for strangers) but still retaining his enthusiasm. He gave us his resume and apparently he's also taken care of horses (and even elephants I think) so if you need a horse-sitter he does that too. Not sure how easy those are to find since I know nothing about horses. So yeah, dogs, cats, exotics, reptiles, rabbits, dog walking. He charges per half hour so it's also cost efficient (to us). She referred us to Jan's, and we've never looked back. For our first "get acquainted" visit, she arrived with a clipboard and professional form to get info on our cats, likes/dislikes, where their food, water bowls and litter pans are located, name of vet(s), health/medical questions, what to do in case of a pet emergency. And then info about us and our house--alarm system info, newspapers/mail brought in, etc. We were bowled over with her professionalism. And they're bonded and insured. For about 12 years now Jan has watched our pets, and is always available--even on the rare but unavoidable short-notice need. She lets us know of her vacations well in advance so we can plan accordingly. Jan's business is as good as it gets, and reasonably-priced as well. She's a treat, and we're glad to know her!

We travel frequently but have three (needy) cats, and they LOVE when Lisa comes for twice-daily visits. She plays with them, keeps them fed and watered, handles the litter and the oldest's medicine, and even brings them new little toys to keep them curious and engaged. She also sends updates and the cutest pics of them during every visit! They are social and happy when we return (versus the sullen, cranky animals we used to come home to) and we've now traveled all over the world knowing our animals are safe and well and quite content in her care. She's basically an extension of our family at this point! Cannot recommend her highly enough.

The facility is welcoming, cozy and clean. I love that it's female owned and family operated! I was very anxious about boarding Sherlock over Christmas because he suffers separation anxiety, but after seeing the daily photos and videos my mind was completely put at ease. Sherlock looked like he was having a great time and it was clear he was being well cared for and getting lots of love & attention! Now I can go on vacation with no worries knowing that Sherlock is in great hands. He now goes to doggie day care weekly.
