We brought our dog here in October for a week long stay. After coming back home we picked up our dog. He was in a rough shape, had difficulty breathing and had a cough. We had to take him to an ER vet where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The daycare was relieved it wasn't kennel cough so they didn't have to shut the place down. For Christmas we boarded our dog here again. We took him to a vet a couple days prior, and he was fully healthy. After a week we get a phone call from them saying that our dog is drooling and that he coughed up a little bit of blood. We sent our friend to take a look at him. He was once again in a very rough shape, having a difficult time breathing, so we him taken to the ER. At the ER we were told his oxygen was extremely low, his heart was hardly beating, his glucose levels were alarmingly low and he had little to none white blood cells. Our dog needed to be put on oxygen, antibiotics, dextrose and liquids hoping he'll get better. The vet wasn't giving us great chances of survival at all. We had to leave immediately and fly back to TX to possibly say goodbye to our dog, who according to daycare staff, was "JUST FINE EARLIER TODAY". Luckily, after 3 days in the ER we were able to take him home. Daycare refuses to take any responsibility for our dog who, due to their negligence and ignorance, almost died. We paid $7500 just to keep him alive and he still has a lengthy road to recovery ahead of him. After talking to the daycare, they were relieved that our dog was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia instead of influenza which would cause them to close their facility. These people refuse to take any responsibility for our dogs well being and health. We brought a healthy dog in for boarding and left with an animal that's 20lbs lighter and barely hanging on to his life. read more

Quite impressed with the layout, staff and playtime schedule for the two times that I brought my dog here. It seems that the staff categorizes the dogs into 3-4 groups based on their size and personalities. While inside of the facility, you'll notice two areas that are sectioned off for different sized dogs, as well as the outdoor area with several canopies to shield the dogs from the hot sun. I did notice several water dispensers as well. I was also impressed with the current program that this facility runs in terms of obtaining free daycare days in the form of credits on the final bill. In keeping my dog at the facility over a long weekend, I was quite surprised by how low the final bill came out to. This was, of course, due to taking advantage of the current program that was offered to me and my wife during the first visit. I greatly appreciated the staff taking good care of my dog by feeding him three times a day and keeping him active. Dogs Unleashed has a clockwork playtime schedule that it adheres to, and I was glad to here that my dog was currently out playing when I made a phone call to check on how he was doing with the staff & other dogs. Although I was offered for my dog to have a bath, I was quite surprised in seeing how clean he was returned despite playing in the backyard for a long duration of the weekend. Before our dog Wilson started going to daycare here, he was a maniac. He's the sweetest dog but is extremely high energy and our house/yard doesn't tire him out enough. I'm so glad we started using this place. He LOVES it and he's exhausted when he comes home, and for most of the next day. It's funny to see the change in him if he went to daycare the day before. Since I work from home now because of coronavirus it makes my life easier. Our two other dogs aren't as high energy so only Wilson goes, but it's been a life saver for us and him. I have been coming here for 7 years and wouldn't even think about going anywhere else. When I drop my dogs off I know Leah and staff are going to treat them like they are thier own. Another plus of this great place is the dogs aren't cooped up all day in a kennel, and get to actually play (unless its nap time). I went to several other daycares prior to choosing Dogs Unleashed, but have only dropped my pups off there. They know exactly where they are when I pull up in front of the building(tails wagging). It's kind of like seeing a 5 year old excited about ice cream. When my boys come home they are so exhausted because of all the fun they had during thier stay. They love this place and so do I. Love this place! I was super nervous about finding the right place to leave my brand new baby...but I have to work like most of us do (lame) and didn't want to leave my Winston in a kennel all day! The staff loves on him like he is their own, and they put attention and thought into placing him with specific dogs for him to have the best transition possible. He is always so excited to run inside in the mornings, tail wagging and bursting through the door, and also very happy and exhausted when I pick him up in the afternoon. I came to drop off my pup at 7:30 and she was the first one to arrive for daycare. The girl sitting at the computer stared at me blankly and seemed annoyed that someone would bring their dog in so early. The other girl, who was friendlier, took my dog and put her out back in one of the yards and came back inside. My dog is an escape artist and they had left her outside alone & unattended. Red flag #1. I asked for a tour and saw where about 10-15 pups were being boarded. I asked why they weren't out playing yet and was told that they aren't let out until 8. Why?! They've been in kennels since 7 PM, if I worked there, I would rush to let them out so those poor pups could go potty! I didn't like what I had seen so far but I decided to give them a chance since I had to head off to work. I came to pick up my dog at about 5 pm and she was playing outside. This is summer in TX and it was about 105 that day and my dog was running around outside in the heat. On the car ride home, she was panting excessively and I was so worried she would not be able to cool down. I poured my bottle of water on her and eventually she fell asleep by the a/c. I suggest the owner check up on her daycare more often as the ladies running it do not seem to care much about the dogs. read more

We have used DU for many years on a routine basis for vacations and occasional daycare. In March we had a slab leak and with the repairs to the home the dogs could not stay home with the work being done. Our Goldens have been there for extended periods of time and they just love it. They are thrilled when we pull up and rush in for their fun. The staff is kind and loving and so attentive. It's a hard thing letting someone care for your fur babies and you cannot go wrong with Dogs Unleashed. They are amazing!!! They did not even begin to deserve the 1 Star review! I have been bringing my dog Rose to Dogs Unleashed for over two years (of the three years since I rescued her) and she loves it. Be very careful before bringing your dog here! I came to pick up my dog a day early and was told by the girl at the front desk, "you're a day early". And then my dog was brought out of a kennel. They lost his bowls and the two younger girls we're extremely rude when I asked them to look for them. Over the next few days my dog became extremely sick and we brought him to an emergency vet. He had a high fever and respiratory infection. The vet told us it was from poor conditions. When calling Lea, the owner, and telling her how upset I was she continued to give excuse after excuse. And told me they do not give refunds. I would give zero stars if I could. KEEP YOUR DOG HEALTHY BRING THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I started bringing my puppy here right when he was old enough to the day (I believe 16 weeks) and they not only helped socialize my dog, who was terrified of other dogs, but treated him like part of the family. I took a tour of this facility and I was so impressed! The staff was very friendly. This daycare is not like some others, that throw all the dogs into one yard or others that split into two groups. They had four or five different groups throughout the facility, based on dog sizes and then playstyles and they moved dogs who weren't getting along to a different group. The outdoor yards were covered with canopies and water misters, which was amazing considering how hot our summers are. Everyone had waters available, small plastic playskool structures to play on, and seemed really laid back and happy. The dogs are even crated with a cookie and got naps so they have time to recharge and take a break from each other. I just moved to this area, and this dog day care is leagues above where we were previously! read more

I left my dogs here over the weekend. When I tried to call to check on them, there was no answer. We picked them up on Sunday afternoon and one of the dogs was so filthy that we could not even tell she was ours and the rest of the dogs smelled like they had rolled in feces all weekend.
