Where do I begin,let's start at the beginning. My Willie was born just before Covid by May of 2020 he was in real need of a grooming. I called about 10 groomers and none of them would take him. Finally I came upon Ann at a Dogs World. She immediately said she would make room for him and didn't want him to suffer in the summer heat. This Groomer supposed to be a five star groomer, but not in my eyes they caused my dog to come home with cherry red testicles, whether it was because they shaved him too closely or the utensils weren't cleaned enough. Because they caused the dog extreme irritation, he licked himself into an infection. Which costed me more out of pocket cost due to vet bills. I canceled my future appointments with this groomer letting them know what they did. Instead of doing the right thing and offering my money back, they try to switch it around, saying that it could be from anything. So my Savannah Pumpkin is 8months old and has never been groomed professionally since I've had her. Every time previous to today that I have tried to take her to the groomers she would cry and fight so hard as I was trying to drop her off and I would instantly feel bad and change my mind. I've been giving her monthly baths on my own to keep her fresh but didn't trust myself to cut down or trim her hair and eyes, therefore she began to look like cousin it from the Adam's family, Lol! So I came to the conclusion that I just had to suck it up and get her groomed at a professional groomers. No matter how much she cried or how hard she fought I promised myself I would leave her to get groomed. Going forward I woke up this morning and set out on a hunt to find a groomer close by me with good reviews and availability for an asap appointment. I came across "It's a Dog's World" on Google maps and I am so extremely happy I did! It was 6 minutes from my house and the ratings and reviews were great so I called and luckily they had a few cancellations and were able to take my Savannah Pumpkin the same day.. So I headed on over to drop Savannah Pumpkin off where I met Jamie and her mother Ann. It's A mother and daughter who own the business and groom by themselves. The shop is clean, cozy, and beautiful and my Savannah Pumpkin jumped into Ann's hands being her natural happy playful self, this made me very happy and confident to leave her (even though I said whether she fought or cried I was still going to leave her) I'm just happy she was happy and didn't start with her dramatic actions, Lol! I brushed her daily but unfortunately her arms still managed to become extremely matted and bundled up :( Usually if you take a matted pet to Petco or those other places they charge you an arm and a leg and end up buzz cutting or shaving your pet bald, in Savannah's case they actually managed to detangle and comb out her arms which was severely A LOT OF WORK, I am so great full and thankful for them to have taken time out to do that as well. They were very affordable, very caring, professional and very patient.. I am so very happy I ended up going here hence the extremely long review, and this is where I will be taking Savannah Pumpkin to get groomed routinely from now on and I urge anyone else reading this review to do the same!! :-) read more

I have to say that after the horrible experience I had at a different dog groomer's establishment, I was very satisfied with the grooming for my two Shiba Inus, Keiji and Oni. I was able to receive an appointment within two days of speaking to the owner and when we got there, she was so accommodating. I forgot her name but I have it at home and when I get a chance, I will update this review. We were able to walk our pups to the area where they would be kept which helped to reduce any anxiety they were feeling and were instructed to come back after a couple of hours. When we returned, our little ones were ready and excited to see us. They each had on their complimentary bandannas and smelled so good. She has such a good rapport with our dogs and all of the dogs that came in that morning. She even recommended some items we could use on our own at home to help care for them in between appointments. We are definitely going to be return customers. They are located 15 minutes from my home and despite the limited hours of operation, they are still very accessible and convenient and they take really good care of their animal consumers :) read more

I wish to start off by saying that the owner and her staff are wonderful people; extremely professional and they showed my (son) dog so much affection. The young girl and I spoke in length about not cutting his ears or tail, but cutting his butt hair as low as possible. I also told I that I wanted him to look as if he just left the salon. However, when she called me two hours later to pick him up, I found it a bit odd that he was finished so quickly, but, I said alright and went to pick him up. To my surprise my son did not look as if he had just finished being professional groomed. He looked the same way when I wash him in the tub at home. His fur was flipped up in several directions, his butt hair was chopped off and pretty much the way it was prior to dropping him off, and she cut his ears and tail, two places I was very explicit in her not touching. So, now I need to take him to another groomer (His normal groomer) in order for that horrible hair cut to be mitigated. I feels as if I threw $60 is the wind.... read more

She came out anxious and irritable and it took a whole week for her to get back to normal. After sharing our traumatic experience with a trusted friend, she recommended I try "Its a Dogs World." She informed me on the best haircut for Loki's size and age. When I picked my dog up a few hours later, I could not even recognized him, he looked even cuter and smelled yummy..and she gave him a cute bandanna scarf to boot. I called on Dec 28th to make a last minute appointment but they were booked. The owner then set up an appointment for me the next day at 9am which was great. I took my dog there at 9am and the owner greeted us with open arms. She explained what she does and the different services they offer. Since it was the first time we took the dog there she went out of her way to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable leaving our puppy there. We had our puppy bathed and groomed around her face and private area. They did a great job and had our puppy ready at the promised time. The offer excellent services at an exceptional price.
