Yes, this is a very negative review and yes, I totally expect Dogtown management to write an aggressive hostile rebuttal in an effort to discredit me since being aggressive and hostile towards unsatisfied clients is their baseline default. First and foremost, Dogtown is all about your money and nothing about your dog! Believe me when I say this! It does not matter how upset you are with their services or lack of services, they will not release your dog unless you pay them first. I was very unhappy for a variety of reasons and was forced into what felt like a hostage negotiation to get my dog back from them. A little background... My wife and I have been a client of Dogtown for over 8 years. We have literally spent thousands of dollars boarding our dog with them and... We were always very happy with them until the last two times. After a disappointing experience earlier in the year, we decided to give them another chance after management apologized, told us that they were having "staffing issues" but had sorted it out and things will go back to normal. Like I already stated, we had been happy clients for over 8 years at that point so... We decided to board our dog with them again over the Thanksgiving holiday. That turned out to be a big mistake. 1. The staffing issues were not sorted out. 2. They had over 30 dogs being boarded... While in the midst of having additional staffing issues. 30 dogs at this location is a lot even when staffing isn't an issue. 3. Our dog did not get his three walks per day per our agreement. 4. We did not receive a daily report card and photos per our agreement. 5. They did not answer the telephone after multiple days of calling multiple times or the phone rang just until the line simply went dead. No voicemail service ever picked up. 6. We called the Coconut Grove location and was able to leave a message. No one ever called us back! 7. We wrote emails that were never responded to. 8. We were forced into what felt like a hostage negotiation in order to get our dog back. I even, at one point, asked for proof of life, in which they held him up from afar and showed him to me. They refused to bring him out to me until they had been paid. 9. We were forced to pay for a bath that our dog did not receive. 10. They refused to give us a receipt after we paid. 11. After paying, a manager, who was on the telephone, screamed at me and told me to take my dog and "get out!!!". 12. A day later, I spoke to another manager who called me to "get my side of the story". After my conversation with him, I requested that the owners give us a call. We never heard from them. Again, Dogtown is all about your money and nothing about your dog or... Us as their client. Again, the owners were given multiple opportunities to contact us prior to this review being posted but never once tried to reach out. We are done with Dogtown. If you've read this far, please use this facility at your own risk!!! There are many other facilities in the area. I recommend any of them over Dogtown. read more

In short, DogTown Brickell took my dog for a trial daycare, returned her INJURED, and then REFUSES TO BOARD her because of her injury. I was searching for the best dog hotel in the Brickell area to leave my 4 months old puppy while I'm out of town for a couple of days. DogTown seemed to have a great rating, so I went with them (later though I found PAST HORRIBLE REVIEWS reporting dogs scratched to blood and limping after the time spent in DogTown). DogTown requires a trial daycare to see how the dog is behaving before boarding (which seemed like a thoughtful approach). So on Tuesday, I dropped off my puppy at DogTown Brickell. I left her for just a couple of hours when I got a call saying that she is LIMPING. I rushed to the vet to get the medicine. When I picked my puppy up she was jumping on three legs, not being able to put any weight on the leg. The staff was saying how they have no idea how it happened. Two days later my puppy is still limping, laying on her bed. I call my vet to schedule a visit and mail the owner of DogTown to ask for a refund on medicine and vet visit. She denies that injury is their fault, denies to pay for the medicine, and ultimately the OWNER DENIES BOARDING THE PUPPY THAT GOT INJURED IN THE DAYCARE one day before boarding start day, and my flight. It's Thursday afternoon my flight is on Friday. I'm left with an injured puppy that no dog hotel will take and booked flights and hotel that will be just lost. All thanks to DogTown. read more

I feel compelled to share our complete dissatisfaction with the grooming service we received in Miami. We took our four Shih Tzus for a grooming session and took the time to discuss exactly what we wanted with the groomer, even showing her photos of our expectations. To our shock, when we picked them up, the results were far from acceptable. Nothing was done properly; the grooming was uneven (see photo). Additionally, the area around one of our dog's rear ends was shaved, leaving her with a huge hole (see photo), and our male dog suffered from severe irritation around his anus. A week later, he was unable to walk due to this issue, and we were forced to take him to the vet, where we discovered he had an inflammation. We attempted to reach out to the groomer, Bianca, but she never returned our calls. This lack of communication reflects a concerning level of unprofessionalism. Furthermore, the overall organization regarding appointment management was extremely poor, compounding our frustration. We strongly discourage anyone from using this grooming service. If you care about the well-being of your pets, please seek a more reliable alternative. read more

I truly don't understand how Dogtown has positive reviews. I paid for training, and my dog came back worse -- he now pees indoors, something he never did before stepping paw in this place. I also paid for the right size training gear and got the wrong size, and I paid for a bath and picked up a dog who smelled horrible. To make matters worse, the entire time my dog was there the elevator was broken, so when I went to pick him up and had to walk up the stairs, I found all the dogs left alone in a disgusting facility. It was filthy and honestly upsetting to see. Save yourself the stress, money, and heartbreak -- go somewhere that actually cares about the dogs and delivers what they promise. Brickell Dogtown is amazing. They are incredibly service oriented , troubleshooting and resolving an out of date vaccination issue with us in a last minute urgent situation. They brought our pet across the street to the vet to get vaccinated to ensure compliance with their regulations and to ensure they did not compromise the other pets while helping us out greatly. They are loving and kind to the dogs based on all our observations and communicate well about the daily routines. Snoop Dogg is happy there! read more

Jake G adores this place . He is a very anxious rescue and needs a lot of TLC whenever he is in a different environment. I remember one time he stayed for 5 days while I was out of the country ; they called me because Jake would not eat . They kept in contact with me the entire time reassuring me they were trying everything they could and Jake was ok. On day 3 , one of the amazing staffers called me overjoyed to tell me they had just hand-fed him and he was doing great . I highly recommend them! read more

We had an amazing experience at Dogtown. We had to leave our puppy for boarding last minute and it was our puppy's first time boarding. They were very accommodating and helpful. They quickly called the vet to check all vaccines and kept him for a few hours for a trial. Our puppy had the best time at Dogtown and they sent us pictures to keep us updated. They're so thoughtful they even sent us a happy Mother's Day picture. We're definitely bringing our puppy back for daycare! read more

Our dog Pancho has stayed overnight at Grove location multiple times. First as a puppy and now as a young adult. The staff are very professional and proactive. The facilities are cleaned and well-designed. Communication and engagement is superb! Most importantly, our dog always looks forward to staying there and you can tell he truly enjoys his stay! My dog always gets excited when coming in for daycare and leaves ready to be in bed! Caretakers send me pictures during the walks and always provide feedback as to how she behaved during the day. The groomers are very professional and leave my dog looking super clean and new. The are very gentle with my dog since she does get a little nervous when it comes to cutting her nails. read more

I picked up my puppy Melo, he had stayed in the dog hotel and let me tell you ... he came back and all he did was sleep the entire evening and night. Definitely enjoyed himself. Very nice staff. Bella is learning to socialize with other dogs. At first she was shy but has made a great improvement. They keep me updated and send pictures/videos during her day. She has been groomed there twice. Great job. We plan to take her for daycare a few times a week. read more

Sophie loved her first day at Dogtown. A Frenchie, she can be pretty particular but she fit right in. The staff was welcoming and attentive. I have no doubt Sophie received some special attention throughout her stay for the day. She came home happy and tired. read more
