My girlfriend and I came here on a date and we wanted to try new foods that were flavorful and unique. The interior was beautiful and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the noodle dishes. Great experience!

The Place Is Beautifully Decorated, I Discovered This Place From An App & Was Amazed Looking At The Displays While Waiting For My To Go Order. The Array Of Sweets & Desserts Displayed As Pictured In My Reviews Are Very Eye Catching! I Plan To Be Back To Try Some In The Future. As For My To Go Meal It Wasn't Packed Well & It Spilled Inside The Bag & So I Ended Up Throwing It All Away But It Did Smell Good & Was Pipping Hot When I Got Handed It. I Feel That Was An Unfortunate Factor Into Why The Food Spilled In The Plastic Bag Making It A Mess To Clean Up & Didn't Get To Enjoy It As Anticipated. I Hope My Next Visit Id More Successful.

Mantu (with pumpkin) - it takes 25 minutes to prep.

Our family of 5 enjoyed a delicious Sunday dinner in February 2026 at Dolan Uyghur's Falls Church location (in the space formerly occupied by Pizzeria Orso - with the clay oven preserved). The elegant interior would make this a lovely place for a date, but it also was family-friendly on a Sunday. The service was pleasant and welcoming. We ordered several dishes. The cold skin noodle was a nice appetizer to whet our taste buds. But our hands-down favorite dishes were the samsas (oven-baked dough with minced meat) and the korma chop noodles with chicken. The lamb kabobs were tasty and the pumpkin mantu was really nice (but it took 25 minutes to prepare as they state on the menu). Be sure to leave room for dessert. We devoured the baklava with ice cream (a classic Turkish dish) and the Dubai Magnolia. As it was the day after Valentine's Day, the restaurant had run out of honey cake (but we'll try to order this dessert on our next visit). One plus is the garage offers free parking (and shelter from the rain). While the prices are high, the ambience and dishes are worth it for a special occasion. We look forward to returning later in 2026!

Tired of feeling snowbound, I had to get out of the house and try a new restaurant (and when is this "snowcrete" that fell two weeks ago ever going to melt?). I had a great mid-afternoon lunch at Dolan Uyghur. The window-lined restaurant has a comfortable feel. I was warmly greeted and seated. Service was responsive and impeccable I'm a fan of Uyghur cuisine because it is simple and straightforward. While I think of Uyghur cuisine as mild with lots of diced red and green bell pepper plus onion, my server asked me how spicy I wanted my dishes. I wanted mild, which I received, but know that if you want the heat amped up, you can be accommodated. I started out with a Samsa. This is a sesame seed bun filled with ground beef and lamb and microdots of red bell pepper. Seasoned with black pepper, the Samsa was delicious and excellent. I could have eaten a couple more of these, they were that good! For an entrée, I selected the Dolan Laghman. This is a noodle dish topped with sautéed beef, diced green and red peppers and onion. The oyster sauce rounds out the dish nicely. I thought this dish was very good and would get again. And then I did something I rarely ever do anymore, and that was to order dessert. I ordered the Dolan Cake. On paper it sounds like a great dish: a pastry filled with walnuts and butter cream. It tasted fine, but was unpleasantly dry and crumbly. Perhaps a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream would have improved this cake. The menu is vast so you will certainly find something that appeals to you on it. I highly recommend Dolan Uyghur, even if the garage shared by Dolan Uyghur and other businesses is a little kookie in that if you park above level 1, you have to walk back down the ramps to the ground floor because there are no stairs (other than alarmed emergency exits). Yet, on the other hand, parking is free.

This is my 4th time here and it has become my go-to breakfast spot whenever I'm in NOVA. We got the Mediterranean Breakfast, Chicken Pide, Lamb Kabob, and Pastrami on the side. Everything was delicious. Mediterranean Breakfast is good for 2 people but you also get more variety with the Full Turkish Breakfast. Also got Chai Latte which was creamy and cozy. Service was good and the ambiance is very pretty and aesthetic.

I ordered from here using the Too Good To Go app, so this review is based just on that experience. The app lets you grab leftover food at a discounted price, and since it's a "surprise Bag," what you get can vary. I'm pretty sure I received the Cold Egg Noodles and a Raspberry Cheesecake.. The portions were great--there was a good amount of noodles and a full slice of cheesecake. The online description for noodles is "made with flour and egg, mixed with spicy sesame, peanut, sesame sauce, and chili oil." I personally didn't taste those flavors, but I still liked the dish. The noodles were also very soft, soggy and oily but that might just be because of how many times it was reheated. The noodles were between Chinese beef chow-foon noodles and Thai drunken noodles. The raspberry cheesecake was thick and dense compared to a typical cheesecake, but I actually enjoyed that texture. I'm not a fan of Raspberry so I didn't try the sauce, just the cheesecake itself. The restaurant is cute, with a big bar and two large dessert display cases so you can see what they have. The bartender who helped me when I picked up the food was nice and patient. My app was taking forever to load, and he waited with me without rushing. I'd definitely like to come back and try their lamb shank/kebabs and the chocolate baklava.

Overall, the food was delicious, and the service is genuinely friendly. The interior is beautifully designed with traditional decor. There is an open kitchen where you can see them make hand pull noodles and bread with the wood-fire oven. There are plenty of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians, and we tried a wide range of dishes (from lamb kebab, lahmajun, sujuk pide, goshnan to beef noodle soup). Definitely get a pot of the Dolan chai for a new warm drink in the colder weather. Live music on Sunday starts at 7pm, which added a great atmosphere to the experience.

Service was quite poor. Had to almost beg someone to come take our order and let us pay. But once this was done, the food was absolutely phenomenal! The chili chicken is TOO spicy, not sure if that is the intent, if so I will just deal.

Step into Dolan Uyghur Restaurant in Falls Church and let your taste buds dance to the beat of Central Asia! This spot proudly celebrates Uyghur culture through bold, authentic flavors. We kicked off with the Mixed Mezze--an irresistible spread featuring hummus, cacık, babaganoush, Pembe Sultan, and hipiti, served with warm bread. A flavor carousel that made us grin from the first bite! For mains, I dove into the Korma Chop--Uyghur-style signature fried noodles with chives, onions, red bell peppers, and your choice of beef, chicken, or shrimp. A spicy, saucy noodle party that hits all the right notes. My wife savored the Royal Laghman, a rocking combo of hand-pulled chewy noodles, beef, stir-fried onions, cabbage, mushrooms, and green and red peppers in an oyster-flavored, tomato-kissing sauce. Texture, flavor, vibe--check! Our server Johan was a real MVP--friendly, sharp, and effortless. The decor matches the food: warm, inviting, and sprinkled with cultural flair. Easy parking and a menu of illy-coffee delights--Turkish coffee included--made it even sweeter. Expect to spend about $20-$30 per person, a fair price for this foodie adventure. Mouthwatering middle-Eastern charm without breaking the bank. ** Pros:** * Exceptionally authentic Uyghur flavors * Slick, thoughtful service (looking at you, Johan!) * Espresso bar elevated with Turkish coffee * Cozy yet cultured atmosphere ** Cons:** * Slightly upscale wallet-friendly, but still worth it * Dessert queues up for next time! TL;DR: Do yourself a favor--visit Dolan Uyghur for a delicious, culture-packed dinner that's both uplifting and unforgettable.

    Vegetarian Noodles - yummy!

My husband and I are always looking to try new restaurants, and this one caught our attention with the numerous vegetarian options. I'm a vegetarian in the family, so we always have to make sure there is something for me. The restaurant is quite spacious with indoor and outdoor dining options. As we entered, the manager was very friendly and seated us. I must say, even thought the people working there are super nice, the service was quite slow. It took 5 minutes for someone to just get us the menu. We had to call our server a few times for her attention. So hopefully that can get better. Now to the food. I got the following: - Tandoori Bread: this was for my son and he liked it. I'm used to the bread having a bit more flavor, having been to many Greek/Turkish restaurants. This bread was bland. They do give honey with it, but I ate it plain. - Samsa: this sounded like a samosa and they have both veg and non veg option. It was good. I would have liked a bit more spice, but still liked it. - Veggie Noodles: this was delicious. Loved the flavors, the texture, and it's quite a big portion size. - Baklava: delicious!!!!! They serve it cold and we loved it. I wanted to try the Pide, which looks like a pizza. So maybe next time. Overall, a great experience and definitely a must try if you are looking for a new cuisine to try.

I've been to all three locations of Dolan Uyghur now and I think the Falls Church one is by far my favorite one. We walked in and saw someone singing at the front - the live music sounded amazing and was a great addition to our experience. Service was also very attentive and helped us with answering our questions about the food. The food was great! I got to try the cucumber salad, spicy tofu, and korma chop. The korma chop was my favorite. The noodles at Dolan are so fresh and chewy and with the sauce in the korma chop they were amazing. The spicy tofu was a 3/5 in my opinion. While it was tasty, it tasted like the tofu wasn't cooked in the sauce so the tofu was tasteless. Lastly the cucumber salad was a really nice appetizer. It was a great shareable plate and was very tasty. Definitely visit Dolan Uyghur, all 3 locations are worth visiting!

Fun, relaxed atmosphere. Good for a semi formal dinner too. Delicious food; I wish I could try it all!

Excellent service! Interior is beautifully designed. Menu offers extensive options to select from . I came here with a group and we decided to do family style dinings so that we were able to try a couple of the dishes! - chili chicken: full of spice however the chicken was double cooked (seems like fried after) and small which made it harder to chew. - lamb (one pound): excellent flavor! This was the star highlight. The rice that was paired had a lime flavor which we all enjoyed. - naan: standard naan paired with honey. Super fluffy! - korma chop: flavor was good however there was very limited beef. Overall enjoyed the meal and the ability to try different dishes! They do not joke here with the spicy flavor lol Parking is behind the restaurant in a garage.

We came for a friend's birthday brunch and ordered a little bit of everything. The menu has so many dishes that are different from what you normally see at brunch. My top three were easily the Dulce de Leche Pancakes, Shrimp & Grits and Lorraine Quiche. The pancakes were out of this world and something I would specifically come back for. The Shrimp & Grits have a chorizo étouffée that gives them a completely different flavor, and the quiche was incredibly moist rather than dry like so many others I've tried. We also enjoyed the beef empanadas, The Blue Ridge steak sandwich, salmon and charred peach salad, and prosciutto, onion and arugula pizza. Even the peach in the salad was surprisingly subtle and didn't overpower the dish. Don't skip the bakery case either! They have gorgeous fruit-shaped desserts, including an adorable lemon, plus plenty of pastries if you just want coffee and something sweet. Our server Diego was fantastic, and we even got to meet Chef Godfrey, who surprised us with dessert. They also have a patio and private spaces upstairs for events and celebrations. Overall, such a fun find with a really unique menu. I would absolutely return!

We had Diego as our waiter and staff and he's knowledgable, provide great recommendations and also helped us out with many of our requests! Now comes the food: We got a full table of delicious food. 1. The Lorraine quiche : Very crunchy outside and soft and hot with delicious filling inside. I am not a quiche girl but I deff love their quiche. 2. The trios empanahas : i am a true empanada fan and their beef empanas and the sauce mix so well together. 3. The prosciutto pizza was HUGE. Deff can feed 4 people , their crust was crispy and the pizza was not too thick so you don't get bored eating it. 4. The banana foster french toast... HEAVEN. the banana was perfectly camelize and the strawberries and berries was the perfect mix fruit with it and the portion was also huge. 5. Tres les ches Pancakes was hot, crispy but also soft and honestly my FAV out of all the dishes. 6. Wild Salmon and charred peach was an interesting salad. The salmon was cooked to perfection, still moist but a lil crunch outside and large piece . The salad dressing was perfect with it. I would love to eat this one everyday. 7. My first time for the grits. Shrimp and grits was delicious. The portion is large and shrimp was paired perfectly with the grits. I think frits will now be on my daily rotation breakfast thanks to Godfrey. 8. We got a hot matcha because we love matcha and it was delicious! Very creamy and the matcha tasted ceremonial. 9. We also got the blue ridge sandwich, it had delicious camelized onion and based on Diego's suggestion, we switched it out for the sourdough and it was delicious. Sandwich was filled inside. We asked to sit outside for lunch and brunch but you could also sit inside for cafe items like croissant , muffin and coffee. They also have rooms upstairs for big parties that can be reserved through open table. Overall, the experience was amazing and I would not be able to top this birthday brunch anytime soon!

What an amazing place! I had been thinking about coming here after a trip to Turkey, and am so glad…read morewe finally made it here. We will be back! Service: First, I have to call out the service. It was fantastic and the manager was wonderful. When we walked in, the manager showed us the menu, gave recommendations on what to get (get the breakfast plate and hot egg plate), said no pressure, and introduced us to the woman working the cash register who also brought us our food. He later sent us two baklava pieces after we finished our meal. We were beyond surprised and let me say...they were delicious. He was so nice, the vibes of the restaurant were so friendly and it was a welcoming atmosphere. Food: We got the breakfast plate and hot egg plate which was recommended and is the best deal. For the egg plate I got the menemen (tomatoes and peppers with eggs) which was so good. I don't like cooked tomatoes, so I am not sure why I like this or how they make it, but it is delicious and not super tomatoey. The breakfast plate comes with 2 pita, dips, tomato, cucumber. We also got the Turkish Sausage eggs which are great and have slim cut pieces of sausage in them. We also got 2 simits, 2 boreks and 2 teas. The baklava was outstanding! We tried what I think was the regular which had a floral tone to it, the chocolate and the tahini. The tahini was my favorite by far - I had never tasted anything like it. Each piece is $2 and affordable. Seating: There is indoor and outdoor seating. I believe there may have been 8 tables inside? It is set up well in that you can make the tables smaller or bigger. Square and round tables. Good for groups larger than 4. Outdoor seating has a ton of tables and was in the shade when we were there. Parking: Super easy. They have a gravel lot on the side of the restaurant.

The Brooklyn bridge sandwich had so many grilled onions, lots of mayo and was the star of the meal. I will order this when I come back next time. The corned beef hash was also good and had grilled onions and peppers in it. The portion size was huge, I had to take most of it home. We also got a half side order of latkes. Parking in the back. Chill vibes inside, no need to dress up.

Not the best I've ever had, but definitely good, and the fries were probably my favorite part. My boyfriend wasn't a huge fan of his order though, which was something along the lines of eggs, bacon and French toast. The ice cream seemed to be a really popular option and honestly looked good, but we decided to skip dessert since it was still pretty early in the day. I also noticed a little "Keep Austin Weird" sticker which made me smile. Clearly I keep finding little pieces of Austin everywhere I go in the DMV lol. Overall, I'd say it's worth checking out. We weren't completely blown away by everything we ordered, but I liked the vibe enough that we would definitely try it again just with different menu choices next time.

Maybe it's because I'm from the south and I'm used to spicy breakfast sausage being used in sausage gravy, but there was no spice or kick to it at all. The biscuits were okay, but not flaky. Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

Kindred Cafe demonstrates exactly how simple breakfast items should be prepared. I stopped in for a…read moremid-morning weekday breakfast and ordered the veggie egg scramble with toast and potatoes, alongside an oat milk vanilla latte. While a scramble sounds simple on paper, it is easy to overcook the vegetables. This one was executed perfectly, with every vegetable done just right. The thin-sliced potatoes were highly seasoned and stood out, moving away from the standard, heavy breakfast spuds you get at most places. The presentation across the board was excellent. The latte arrived with a nice touch--a small side cookie and a club soda to cleanse the palate, which shows a level of intentionality you don't always find. The staff members were incredibly friendly and gracious from start to finish. With fast Wi-Fi and a comfortable environment, it is an ideal spot to get some quality laptop time. It's a great addition to the local lineup.

I've wanted to try this place for a long time, and honestly, it was a letdown…read more I walked in with one other person--so a party of two--and while it was busy, there were clearly open tables. We were told we could sit at the bar or outside, but when we asked for one of the open tables, we were denied because they were "reserved for parties of three." That just doesn't make sense. We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. Really disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.
