FYI -- They add an infrastructure charge of 3% to your bill. My friend and I stopped by Dolan Uyghur for dinner this past Wednesday since she's never had Uyghur food before. I knew the cold skin noodles were a must as they've been good at most place I've been to. COLD SKIN NOODLE - 9.95 Incredibly refreshing, with a nice bouncy and chewy texture. It's served cold mixed with cucumbers, seitan, and cilantro (which we took out). It's also flavored with chili oil, which gave it a bit of a spicy kick. Definitely the best dish we got this evening. I was smiling after every bite. LAMB KEBAB - 6.95 Came with a generous amount of lamb pieces, but it was dry. Seasoning was pretty good, I enjoyed it with the other noodle dishes we got. My friend got the chicken kebab, and she thought that was dry as well. KORMA CHOP - 19.95 +beef, mild spice This is Uyghur-style stir-fried noodles with chives, peppers, onions, and beef. There were only maybe five pieces of beef in ours, which was skimpy. Noodle texture was thick, yet soft -- definitely high quality hand-pulled noodles. I wouldn't get it again. We got way too many noodle dishes. Next time, I'll just order the cold skin noodle and a platter of kebabs to share.

Mantu (with pumpkin) - it takes 25 minutes to prep.

Our family of 5 enjoyed a delicious Sunday dinner in February 2026 at Dolan Uyghur's Falls Church location (in the space formerly occupied by Pizzeria Orso - with the clay oven preserved). The elegant interior would make this a lovely place for a date, but it also was family-friendly on a Sunday. The service was pleasant and welcoming. We ordered several dishes. The cold skin noodle was a nice appetizer to whet our taste buds. But our hands-down favorite dishes were the samsas (oven-baked dough with minced meat) and the korma chop noodles with chicken. The lamb kabobs were tasty and the pumpkin mantu was really nice (but it took 25 minutes to prepare as they state on the menu). Be sure to leave room for dessert. We devoured the baklava with ice cream (a classic Turkish dish) and the Dubai Magnolia. As it was the day after Valentine's Day, the restaurant had run out of honey cake (but we'll try to order this dessert on our next visit). One plus is the garage offers free parking (and shelter from the rain). While the prices are high, the ambience and dishes are worth it for a special occasion. We look forward to returning later in 2026!

Tired of feeling snowbound, I had to get out of the house and try a new restaurant (and when is this "snowcrete" that fell two weeks ago ever going to melt?). I had a great mid-afternoon lunch at Dolan Uyghur. The window-lined restaurant has a comfortable feel. I was warmly greeted and seated. Service was responsive and impeccable I'm a fan of Uyghur cuisine because it is simple and straightforward. While I think of Uyghur cuisine as mild with lots of diced red and green bell pepper plus onion, my server asked me how spicy I wanted my dishes. I wanted mild, which I received, but know that if you want the heat amped up, you can be accommodated. I started out with a Samsa. This is a sesame seed bun filled with ground beef and lamb and microdots of red bell pepper. Seasoned with black pepper, the Samsa was delicious and excellent. I could have eaten a couple more of these, they were that good! For an entrée, I selected the Dolan Laghman. This is a noodle dish topped with sautéed beef, diced green and red peppers and onion. The oyster sauce rounds out the dish nicely. I thought this dish was very good and would get again. And then I did something I rarely ever do anymore, and that was to order dessert. I ordered the Dolan Cake. On paper it sounds like a great dish: a pastry filled with walnuts and butter cream. It tasted fine, but was unpleasantly dry and crumbly. Perhaps a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream would have improved this cake. The menu is vast so you will certainly find something that appeals to you on it. I highly recommend Dolan Uyghur, even if the garage shared by Dolan Uyghur and other businesses is a little kookie in that if you park above level 1, you have to walk back down the ramps to the ground floor because there are no stairs (other than alarmed emergency exits). Yet, on the other hand, parking is free.

This is my 4th time here and it has become my go-to breakfast spot whenever I'm in NOVA. We got the Mediterranean Breakfast, Chicken Pide, Lamb Kabob, and Pastrami on the side. Everything was delicious. Mediterranean Breakfast is good for 2 people but you also get more variety with the Full Turkish Breakfast. Also got Chai Latte which was creamy and cozy. Service was good and the ambiance is very pretty and aesthetic.

I ordered from here using the Too Good To Go app, so this review is based just on that experience. The app lets you grab leftover food at a discounted price, and since it's a "surprise Bag," what you get can vary. I'm pretty sure I received the Cold Egg Noodles and a Raspberry Cheesecake.. The portions were great--there was a good amount of noodles and a full slice of cheesecake. The online description for noodles is "made with flour and egg, mixed with spicy sesame, peanut, sesame sauce, and chili oil." I personally didn't taste those flavors, but I still liked the dish. The noodles were also very soft, soggy and oily but that might just be because of how many times it was reheated. The noodles were between Chinese beef chow-foon noodles and Thai drunken noodles. The raspberry cheesecake was thick and dense compared to a typical cheesecake, but I actually enjoyed that texture. I'm not a fan of Raspberry so I didn't try the sauce, just the cheesecake itself. The restaurant is cute, with a big bar and two large dessert display cases so you can see what they have. The bartender who helped me when I picked up the food was nice and patient. My app was taking forever to load, and he waited with me without rushing. I'd definitely like to come back and try their lamb shank/kebabs and the chocolate baklava.

Overall, the food was delicious, and the service is genuinely friendly. The interior is beautifully designed with traditional decor. There is an open kitchen where you can see them make hand pull noodles and bread with the wood-fire oven. There are plenty of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians, and we tried a wide range of dishes (from lamb kebab, lahmajun, sujuk pide, goshnan to beef noodle soup). Definitely get a pot of the Dolan chai for a new warm drink in the colder weather. Live music on Sunday starts at 7pm, which added a great atmosphere to the experience.

Service was quite poor. Had to almost beg someone to come take our order and let us pay. But once this was done, the food was absolutely phenomenal! The chili chicken is TOO spicy, not sure if that is the intent, if so I will just deal.

    Mixed Mezze

Step into Dolan Uyghur Restaurant in Falls Church and let your taste buds dance to the beat of Central Asia! This spot proudly celebrates Uyghur culture through bold, authentic flavors. We kicked off with the Mixed Mezze--an irresistible spread featuring hummus, cacık, babaganoush, Pembe Sultan, and hipiti, served with warm bread. A flavor carousel that made us grin from the first bite! For mains, I dove into the Korma Chop--Uyghur-style signature fried noodles with chives, onions, red bell peppers, and your choice of beef, chicken, or shrimp. A spicy, saucy noodle party that hits all the right notes. My wife savored the Royal Laghman, a rocking combo of hand-pulled chewy noodles, beef, stir-fried onions, cabbage, mushrooms, and green and red peppers in an oyster-flavored, tomato-kissing sauce. Texture, flavor, vibe--check! Our server Johan was a real MVP--friendly, sharp, and effortless. The decor matches the food: warm, inviting, and sprinkled with cultural flair. Easy parking and a menu of illy-coffee delights--Turkish coffee included--made it even sweeter. Expect to spend about $20-$30 per person, a fair price for this foodie adventure. Mouthwatering middle-Eastern charm without breaking the bank. ** Pros:** * Exceptionally authentic Uyghur flavors * Slick, thoughtful service (looking at you, Johan!) * Espresso bar elevated with Turkish coffee * Cozy yet cultured atmosphere ** Cons:** * Slightly upscale wallet-friendly, but still worth it * Dessert queues up for next time! TL;DR: Do yourself a favor--visit Dolan Uyghur for a delicious, culture-packed dinner that's both uplifting and unforgettable.

    Vegetarian Noodles - yummy!

My husband and I are always looking to try new restaurants, and this one caught our attention with the numerous vegetarian options. I'm a vegetarian in the family, so we always have to make sure there is something for me. The restaurant is quite spacious with indoor and outdoor dining options. As we entered, the manager was very friendly and seated us. I must say, even thought the people working there are super nice, the service was quite slow. It took 5 minutes for someone to just get us the menu. We had to call our server a few times for her attention. So hopefully that can get better. Now to the food. I got the following: - Tandoori Bread: this was for my son and he liked it. I'm used to the bread having a bit more flavor, having been to many Greek/Turkish restaurants. This bread was bland. They do give honey with it, but I ate it plain. - Samsa: this sounded like a samosa and they have both veg and non veg option. It was good. I would have liked a bit more spice, but still liked it. - Veggie Noodles: this was delicious. Loved the flavors, the texture, and it's quite a big portion size. - Baklava: delicious!!!!! They serve it cold and we loved it. I wanted to try the Pide, which looks like a pizza. So maybe next time. Overall, a great experience and definitely a must try if you are looking for a new cuisine to try.

I've been to all three locations of Dolan Uyghur now and I think the Falls Church one is by far my favorite one. We walked in and saw someone singing at the front - the live music sounded amazing and was a great addition to our experience. Service was also very attentive and helped us with answering our questions about the food. The food was great! I got to try the cucumber salad, spicy tofu, and korma chop. The korma chop was my favorite. The noodles at Dolan are so fresh and chewy and with the sauce in the korma chop they were amazing. The spicy tofu was a 3/5 in my opinion. While it was tasty, it tasted like the tofu wasn't cooked in the sauce so the tofu was tasteless. Lastly the cucumber salad was a really nice appetizer. It was a great shareable plate and was very tasty. Definitely visit Dolan Uyghur, all 3 locations are worth visiting!

Fun, relaxed atmosphere. Good for a semi formal dinner too. Delicious food; I wish I could try it all!

Excellent service! Interior is beautifully designed. Menu offers extensive options to select from . I came here with a group and we decided to do family style dinings so that we were able to try a couple of the dishes! - chili chicken: full of spice however the chicken was double cooked (seems like fried after) and small which made it harder to chew. - lamb (one pound): excellent flavor! This was the star highlight. The rice that was paired had a lime flavor which we all enjoyed. - naan: standard naan paired with honey. Super fluffy! - korma chop: flavor was good however there was very limited beef. Overall enjoyed the meal and the ability to try different dishes! They do not joke here with the spicy flavor lol Parking is behind the restaurant in a garage.

    Baked Baba Ganoush
    Kevin D.

It was a lovely restaurant and decorated so nicely! It was beautiful. Our waitress was so kind and gave us a ton of recommendations too! So we ordered a few different things. We hot a pot of the Dolan Chai, which was a very warm floral tea. We ordered the Lahmacun and Baked Baba ganoush for appetizers. These were both delicious! The meat in the baked baba ganoush was slightly too chewy however. And then we split the lamb shank and the dry pot. The lamb shank was okay, however the salad it came with was so delicious. The dry pot was the absolute star of the show. It was so spicy and the meat was so tender! The peppercorns were a wonderful addition and our mouths go numb. We would 100% go back for this dish and to try new ones!!

Their proteins and fries are perfect, their salad is cold and crisp, and the execution of their rice is consistently the benchmark. First off though: the lighting is really harsh. It's Temu hexagonal 10000K bright white led honeycombs from blaze hell. The walls are primer black, and there are no paper towels in the bathrooms. Solution: I almost always get my food to-go. I flip flop between the Falafel Platter and the Mixed (Chicken + Lamb Gyro) Platter with the following no-charge mod: NO fries, MORE salad. This leaves the rice alone - you will get rice - and it is a very long grain, saffroned, Basmati rice that is distinctively al dente. Not fluffy or clumpy - they are highly separated and firm rice grains, and I absolutely love it this way. This rice blows the competition far and away. If you like fries, they are good - they're the double-fried "Burger King" style and keep their heat decently well in the to-go clamshell. The sauces are quite special. I like them all. I always ask for the following on-the-side (no zig-zags for me): the white (tahini-like), the green (cilantro), the red (spicy), the orange (signature Blazin spice). There are a couple of others, but I find these 4 create a nice balance. Oh and the late-night hours secure the 5-star rating. This can feel like the perfect late-night food - thanks to the owners for accommodating the late-night fans. Quickie review notes: The burger is just okay - the patty should be bigger. The Chopped Cheese is convincing, but not the best value item, IMO. The milkshakes are very tasty!

I didn't realize you could also get white sauce, green sauce, etc, so I probably wouldn't get tzaziki and get olives or something else next time. Well, this time we actually tried it. I'm a simple caveman - we've got a bowl with basmati rice, chicken AND lamb/beef gyro, tahini, and hummus. Hits the damn spot. Fountain drinks, combo options, cups for water, and bottled drinks. You go down the line, say what you want (like every fast casual these days), and end up at the register. Fast operation. Plenty of seating indoors.
