I've been coming here for years, and have always left happy. Get to know a shop staff well (I use Elaine) who will always remember your style and can anticipate your needs on future visits. I love that I give one idea, and she comes back with 6 different styles and cuts. The better in shape I got, the better the fit, so my advice to guys that have let their bodies go from too many hours spent surfing the net, eating out daily, or getting lap dances in Vegas, is to get in shape.... you'll appreciate D&G so much more (as I've discovered..... the staff actually once asked "have u been working out? I've noticed.."). Their shirts run across 3 general cuts (classic, fitted, and slim), and I actually have shirts from across the line, so try more than one fit across different styles. Great body cuts, and ideal for the male that just can't seem to 'synch' with Boss (like me). This store shipped me a "used/ display " bag !!!!!! I paid full price over $2500 and they shipped me a bag that was clearly either a display or a bag countless other customers have kept returning. There was dust on the sides , the tissue paper was worn and torn , a couple light marks on the leather, one wrinkled spot on the leather (from the folding area,) and the bag arrived with NO TAGS which I now am having to contact customer service about since the website states they don't accept returns without the ID tag and seal. The bag overall was in decent condition considering it was a display but it wasn't BRAND NEW which is what I was paying for. If you're gonna ship me a display, at least tell me and get my consent first , and offer me a discount. But don't make me spend $2500 USED display bag sent to me without tags!! Terrible !!!! Shame on you being such an expensive store and in Beverly Hills of all places, shipping someone a scratched display bag and box and torn tissue paper. I have had better experiences at Coach whose bags are 1/10th the price. *update: I contacted customer service via the online portal and they were kind to let me return it for a full refund even without the tags. After ONE MONTH of the bag being in their warehouse and a few emails from me about the status, customer service decided they will not refund my money because the bag was scuffed up and dirty, not by me. As a brand, Dolce Gabbana is great quality, fashionable and cutting edge, but this review is about the specific store in Beverly Hills and the shopping experience there, not the brand itself. The store is one of the largest I've been in, outside of their home base in Milan. It's location on Rodeo is easy to find, but you're going to have to park a block or two away and it's rare to get a spot on the street on Rodeo. Mens department is well stocked, with multiple seasons represented, so if you're traveling from a warm or cold climate, you'll be able to pick out some great pieces to take home. Mens suits are extensive and the staff is well educated on the cuts and fabrics available. The in-house tailor tends to cut things a little on the "European" side compared to traditional American tailoring, so if you don't want a suit that stands out as looking too European, be sure to tell him so you can leave the pant leg a little longer and the jacket a little looser. The staff overall are friendly, not pushy, and generally just look like they enjoy working there. Having had multiple experiences with the managers from out of state to help with damaged clothing repairs and finding out of stock sizes/colors, I can honestly say they go out of their way to help you. I used to buy most of my DG clothing locally at Neiman Marcus, but now whenever I see something I like, I check with the Beverly Hills store first as they're so much friendlier to deal with. DG...They are THE WORST DESIGNER company EVERRRRRRRRR!!!! If i could sue them i would! I purchased a cross body bag and heels for my birthday. The heels was a good fit. But the bag was micro. Like no keys, phone nothing can fit inside. So i returned it a day or 2 upon receiving. When they received my order they didn't even tell me. I had to reach out to them looking for my refund. They told me it would take 3-14 business days to receive a refund. I waited and waited nothing! So i reached out again and they told me i can't get a refund because the chain was not attached. LOL! Mind you the chain was never attached when i received it, it was inside the bag. I returned it the same way i received it. I made sure of that because i read their return policy prior to purchasing it. I told them all of this. They reached back out to me like 2 weeks later saying they looked inside and didn't see the chain so they're sending it back to me. Anything or anyone at the warehouse could've lost it. How is that my problem?! So now what am I going to do with a micro bag that fits inside of my palms without a chain?! They are doing everything in their power to keep my money! Okay, I've never been a real fan of D&G. I always thought their stuff were either too flashy or too outrageous to wear. However, after visiting the boutique on Rodeo, I must revise my opinion. I think the store completely turned me! Though not a fan, I now appreciate some of their stuff. Okay, the walkway from the entrance is pretty narrow, with shelves on either side featuring handbags. When I stepped through, I looked left and right, trying to observe the different styles and colors. Up ahead, there were smaller shelves featuring D&G glasses. I want to D& G at the Cabazon Premium Outlets last Saturday with my teen age daughter, my adult niece and her BFs little girl. We went there on the advise of a sweet woman who works at Anne Fontaine (fabulous store and staff) after sharing with her that Prada (also amazing) had shoes my daughter wanted but not in her size. When we go to D&G we were left standing in the cold while the doorman (Awful putzz with a rose tattoo on the left side of his neck) said he had to get a sales person to assist us (up to this point there was no one in the store (no workers , other then the putzz and no customers), but he not once, but twice declined to allow us entry until a sales person was available...While we were browsing (and our assigned sales person was chatting with the putzz) other customers walked easily in without being stopped or assigned sales people...I spoke up about it and the y staff just made excuses, so I took my family and my money and left. Service is generally very good but since everything is pretty personalized it takes a while when my sales associate is running around the store getting everything I want. You can get whatever you want to drink, from water to coffee to champagne. If you were smart, you'd choose the non-alcoholic beverage. That way you will still have your moral compass intact. The free alterations are always a plus, but the drawback is that I generally have to go to the store to pick up my shit after I get it altered just so I can try it on to make sure everything is fine. I love the youthful but sensible D&G style and the way I can mix and match with so many kinds of shoes and accessories. The staff at the BH store is helpful and attentive without being overbearing. The person who helped me at this store was friendly enough, introduced himself, and handled everything professionally. No apologies, just a plain and simple business transaction. I was, however, warned to "make the right decision" because no other accommodations would be made. They are known for the way their dresses fit women and their tailored suits. The second you walk into the women's store you see a giant screen that is playing the current runway show at the time. The entire store has glass chandeliers imported from Murano, IT and the women's VIP area has mink on the doors. Very beautiful store. read more
