MOCHA GELATO - I mean WOW. It was so so so perfect. I was blown away. I could eat the whole tub which is crazy because it's so rich. I can't wait to come back and try literally everything. What a delightful surprise! We had business at the BMV next door and walked over for ice cream afterwards. I didn't know what to expect, so it was like walking into a little movie theatre wonderland. The decor pays homage to the location's previous life as a movie theatre, and there's a moving playing on the big screen in the background (hard to see in this photo). We walked in on end of The Little Mermaid and caught the first few minutes of Lilo and Stitch. It's summer kick off week here, so maybe that's why they're both beach-themed kids movies? But the star of the show (hehe) was definitely the gelato. All the flavors tasted fresh and flavorful, and the attendant was generous with the samplings. We decided on the chocolate hazelnut, coconut, and raspberry sorbet. Portions are on the small size--as one would expect from a Gelateria in Italy, but perhaps unexpected at an ice cream place in the US. Regardless, the flavors more than compensate. Just slow down and enjoy every bite. We'll certainly be back, maybe for a date night (and hopefully a non-Disney movie) next time! read more

Sunday afternoon at Dolce at the s. We had the S'mores cheesecake and a flight of sorbet/gelato: lemon, strawberry, blackberry, coconut, salted caramel & buckeye. Everything tasted delicious! The cheesecake was decadent. Our favorites were the salted caramel & buckeye gelatos and blackberry sorbet. The interior is amazing! Definitely a place to rent out for a party or event. Located in downtown Wadsworth, and inside the former Strand theater, this establishment serves fantastic gelato and coffee drinks. They even serve boozy concoctions! I highly recommend the affogato! After I ordered my affogato, I sat outside which was delightful. Enjoyed the affogato; smooth and delicious! Tasted great with the salted caramel gelato. The person who took my order was helpful, friendly, and nice. She was also doing a good job training a new employee. When you are in downtown Wadsworth, you need to stop here! read more

This place is just the cutest spot! We decided to "taste the case" with our large group and it was a fun , delicious decision. The young man that helped us was such a wonderful worker. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The gelato was delicious- my son also got the popping boba and enjoyed it. Thanks for a wonderful dessert. Whoaaaaa.... this place was so cool. I can't believe I didn't know about it, I'm telling everyone!! What a hidden gem, I've been in downtown so many times and didn't know about this. Dolce's has a lovely ice cream parlor appearance and the service of the lemon and raspberry sorbets are delicious. However, upon walking in with my 97 year old mother after some business in Wadsworth as a treat for her birthday, the noise by two boys (five and less) playing with the giant Connect Four was so loud that we could not have a conversation. We should have left before ordering - their mothers were totally oblivious of the noise and, upon speaking with another lady who came in after us said that the noise quotient is not permitted to be curtailed by the staff. If you want a nice conversation and some great treats and their are school children in attendance, don't enter. read more

Fun concept! This Italian themed café features all of my favorites: sweets, charcuterie, and wine. Try the Italian cocktails. The spritz comes in four different flavors! Desserts such as cannolis, gelato, and tiramisu will have your mouth watering. Choose your own meats and cheese for the charcuterie and cheese boards. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and was very cheery and helpful. No complaints about the food or drinks here! Very delicious. We were there on a Friday night and place was pretty much dead around 630 but really picked up around seven with a lot of teenagers and families with kids coming in and getting gelato. The only thing I didn't love about Dolce was that it had a bit of a cafeteria feel to it. The fluorescent lights were super bright and the space did not feel intimate at all. There was no ambience. I wish they had turned off many or most of the fluorescent lights and just let the pretty chandeliers do the work. Maybe put in some booths and warmer decor? My husband and I would have stayed longer drinking wine but with all the loud kids running around and bright lights, it wasn't really comfortable for lounging and drinking. read more

A movie theatre turned sweet treat shop! This spot not only offers ice cream, cakes, shakes but also boozy drinks and treat! A spot to seek out for kids or adults. The inside was the perfect nod back to its original purpose while still having an updated interior for entertainment, relaxing, and games. There was also a side outdoor patio with tons of seating and string lights. Ice cream flavors all sounded intriguing and they even offered multiple gluten free and dairy free options! (Some of the best dairy free ice cream I've experienced) staff was all friendly and offered any samples we wanted to try before purchasing; also very patient with kids. I recommend making the stop because it is HIGHLY worth it! read more

What a gem in downtown Wadsworth. Sweets, booze, and bocci while repurposing a theatre... oh and the gelato is delicious. We were here as a family on a weekday for an after dinner treat. We tried a variety of flavors and everyone enjoyed their gelato. I could see this being a great date night, fun place for a group or like we did a family treat. personally, i love Dolce, but i adore gelato. the texture, everything about it! the only thing i would change? setup a way for the espresso machine to be put to better use, the simpler lattes and cappuccinos are nice, don't get me wrong, but i'm afraid to think of touching a basic recipe with any personal preferences... I'm not usually one to go out specifically for dessert...I do it maybe 3-4 times per year and usually in the summer. I've been to Dolce 3 times in the last month, and it's because it's just so good. I've tried several kinds of gelato, and I also had their amazing tiramisu. I don't usually order tiramisu, but I heard it was good, so I had to try it, and I was blown away! My favorites so far have been the hazelnut gelato and the death by chocolate gelato, but everything I've sampled has been very good. I hope to try the charcuterie board soon. This was such a fun idea to update an old, under-used building in a way that our community can enjoy for years to come! The staff is beyond great, which is not surprising! read more

Do not waste your time or money. Get yiur self some Sara Lee frozen deserts...much much better. 4 peices of cake and a very small gelato to go was $30.00, it was worth about $8.00 total at best. Tiramisu had no espresso in it that I could find & the CAKE??? portion was mega dry. I could not find any cheese cake in the raspberry cheese cake and the crust was straight SUGAR and could not be eaten. I'm going to try to find a way to repurpose the boxed the "deserts" came in so maybe I can get something useful from my $30.00. read more

We had to flag the only one person serving the entire bar down so that we could order drinks and food. She took our drink order, and then probably about 30 minutes went by after we were eyeing her left and right, it was clear to us that she was too busy or not making eye contact because she couldn't keep up with what was happening. Or at least I thought. After watching her have a full-blown conversation with the other person working there up at the bar area, we finally were able to get some food in, as my bf flagged her down. Olives for $7. A couple had pits that they missed I guess. But only about 12 olives total. Absolutely ridiculous. The BBQ chicken flatbread? Perhaps not. The dough was like a matzoh cracker. The chicken tasted like bland boring boiled chicken. After having been there for about 45 minutes with no food and only a couple of very strong Manhattans that were not well made, I was starting to get loopy so I wolfed down the flatbread even though it tasted like garbage. While I think this spot has a lot of potential, the service was so lackluster in the cutest of little towns, I would not come back.

My grandson and I had ice cream he had the mint Oreo ice cream and I had the hazelnut and a chocolate one. I can't remember the names of either, but they were delicious. The ambience was wonderful. My grandson was just out of school and there was no one else when we first came so we kind of had the place to ourselves and of course he wanted to see a movie. He asked for The Lion King and they put it on. So of course the service was also wonderful. Everything in the bakery shelf looked delicious so I took home some tiramisu and as expected it was also wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful Interlude of the day for my grandson and I. read more

Extremely friendly staff. It was our first time at Dolce, the girl behind the counter took time to explain that the gelato recipe they use comes from Italy where they were trained on making gelato. We each got a different flavor, and no one was disappointed. The gelato was amazing! They had board games available to use, so it was a fun outing with family! Dolce is by far my favorite gelato place in the US. I've traveled to Italy and tried authentic gelato and this is the closest to real Italian gelato you can get in Ohio. The staff is so insanely sweet, always throwing out compliment and silly jokes. The environment is truly amazing I love the fun little projector and the metal bowls and gelato shovels. Not sure if it's because we carried our food and drinks up from the counter ourselves or how that works. Two of us ordered the lucky charm matcha (good luck charm?), the description sounded amazing. The actual drink was less so, just matcha and oat milk and whipped cream- when I asked about the lucky charm marshmallows I was told they have been out of them for weeks. I might've ordered a different drink if I'd known that, it sort of sold me! The food was good, we ordered the dumplings, cinnamon roll, raspberry rhubarb pop tart, and tiramisu. The best thing of all was the cinnamon roll, the tang of the cream cheese icing kept everything from being too sweet. The tiramisu was beautiful presented and the cream was fantastic, the lady fingers were over soaked in strong espresso, we couldn't finish that element. The pop tart was lovely. Couldn't tell if the dumps were frozen or homemade but they tasted good, and we loved the carrot salad they came with. All in all a great experience, and will be wonderful to return to in this warm season with such a nice double decker patio!

When you order your drink, it comes out quickly so they most likely expect you to just wait a minute before grabbing it and your table number before going to sit down. The ladies behind the counter were nice and efficient and clear with directions regarding water and where to get the drinks and food. Like I said, I didn't have any problems with service or its directions. It could have been better…read more I had been to Café Arnone a few years ago when we first moved to Akron and remembered it fondly, so I suggested it when meeting a friend for coffee last week. When I arrived around 1:00 pm, the café was quiet. There was no one at the counter, so I walked around to find someone and ask where to sit since the space has more of a café feel on one end and a wine-bar feel on the other. I was told to order at the counter and sit anywhere. I sat in the front area to wait for my friend. Once she arrived, we went up to order. I asked about a menu and was pointed to a sign on the counter. Since it was my first visit in a while, I asked the employee what she recommended, and she flipped the sign to a breakfast sandwich called The Sal. I ordered that. I then had to ask about beverages, as none were mentioned. I only wanted water and was directed to a carafe on the counter to serve myself. Our food came out within a few minutes. The presentation was a little disappointing. I chose the vegetable side, which turned out to be two carrot sticks and two celery sticks lying in a small puddle of water. The sandwich looked good, but when I took my first bite, it was overwhelmingly salty. I understand bacon is salty, but this tasted like an excessive amount of salt had been added. After a second bite, I brought it back to the register and asked if it could be replaced, which they did. My disappointment wasn't so much in the mistake, but in the lack of acknowledgment--there was no apology and no follow-up to ask if the replacement was better. The restaurant wasn't busy, and while I'm sure they have many regulars, the lack of greeting when I walked in and the lack of follow-up stood out to me. I did appreciate the wall of ancestors--it was a nice touch--but overall the service felt disengaged. Maybe it was an off day, or perhaps inexperience from a young staff. I may try again in the future, but this visit fell short of expectations.
