We came on Sunday of MDW - we were greeted right upon entry by the friendly bartender. There were people, but we were able to get a seat right away. They had a great cocktail list to choose from. We each got our own pizza, because we honestly thought based off the price they would be more personal sized. We were pleasantly surprised that they were bigger than expected, which was amazing for the price! I loved the seasoning that was on the crust too. Fast & friendly service. Wife and I tried out the much talked about Crust & Cocktails in Akron. Really liked the inside bar area and the table seating. Cool decor and bar seats really comfortable. Food looked good coming out of the kitchen. Had to take a quick restroom break...............total horror scene! Urinal was covered in urine as was the wall and floor. A puddle of sticky filth glued my shoes to the tile. Gnats flying all around the urinal. It was like it hadn't been attended to in days! The sink was also a wreck. Went back to our seating and promptly cashed out and got the heck out of there. If they maintain their bathrooms like that, God only knows what's going on in the kitchen. From the moment we pulled up, I was impressed--the exterior is warm and inviting with beautiful landscaping and patio seating. We grabbed two seats at the bar and instantly appreciated the bar stools--substantial, comfortable, and dare I say... even a little sexy. The drinks were fantastic and well-poured; we tried the Summer Spritz, Pomegranate Margarita, and Lavender Margarita, and each one was a hit. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Pesto Pizza. When it arrived, both of us literally gasped--and even the guy next to us couldn't hide his envy. It was absolute perfection: beautiful, flavorful, and unforgettable. We came here with friends last weekend for the first time. We had high expectations of the drinks considering they are a craft cocktail bar. We ordered several drinks off the menu. I had the spritz, which was good, but took over 30 minutes to receive even though we asked about it multiple times and everyone else at our table had received their drinks. My husband had an old fashioned which turned out to be only 5oz. The glass was not even half full. We all thought this had to be a mistake considering the cost and how poorly presented the drink was but the manager assured us that they measure properly. I think they should include this on the description because for $13, we were not expecting such a small drink. Our friends were not impressed with any of the drinks they ordered, either. My friend specifically ordered a double vodka shot in a short glass but received it in a tall glass, therefore watering down the drink. As for food, we shared the marinated feta appetizer and the charcuterie board. Both were good but the charcuterie only had one serving of meat (salami) and the rest were olives, peppers, cheese and grapes. For $19, we were expecting a little more. One of the cheeses, the largest portion, was a very spicy pepper cheese that none of us really enjoyed. The dip was very good - no complaints. We also ordered three pizzas. Our friend got the chicken pesto which he said was ok but nothing great. My husband got the short rib which he enjoyed. I did a make your own, which had literally no flavor at all. The crust was good but that was about it. I suppose that's my fault for picking the toppings but I thought it would taste better than it was. As for service - it was very slow and they were very inattentive. I wouldn't come back here or recommend it. Stopped in for dinner here on a Wednesday evening. Plenty of open tables and a welcoming bar area. We were greeted right away and chose a table near the back. We were promptly brought menus and ordered cocktails. The drink menu is geared towards people with a taste for sweeter drinks. I had the Thai basil gimlet and knew it would probably be too sweet for me, but enjoyed it and nonetheless. After that, I chose a glass of wine from their decent wine list. Wednesdays are $10 pizza nights. All of the specialty pizzas are available at that price. We had the mushroom pizza which was amazing, and a cheese pizza with arugula that was also tasty. I've been wanting to come here since it opened and I seriously love the remodel of the entire valley, it was wayyyy overdue. Crust & Cocktails has the cutest vibes and is so aesthetically pleasing. The service was nice and I didn't have to wait long at all. I started with the Caprese salad with burrata and got the personal cheese pizza just to test it out since that's the best way to judge a new pizza spot. I liked my meal, but I was honestly more impressed with the ambience than the pizza. It wasn't bad, just a little underwhelming. Maybe I'll try a different sauce next time. Still, I'd definitely go back to try more. Super cute and definitely worth a shot. read more

My friends and I came across this GEM of a restaurant a few weeks ago! Seriously, this place is incredible. From their cozy atmosphere, to their holiday cocktails, and the absolutely delicious food..this place may be my favorite of the year! We stumbled upon this Crust & Cocktails googling online for a cocktail bar/restaurant. It is a bit hidden/out of sight, but we found it and we will be returning every time we are in the area! The Tuscan fig & cheese crostini was my favorite appetizer and a must-try. The pizza was fantastic, and the option to add a dipping sauce was awesome! The roasted garlic aioli was a great signature dipping sauce for our pizza - it made it 10x better! Do yourself a favor and enjoy a night here! read more

I went here to get a drink after hiking up at CVNP with a friend. I didn't think they would have vegan cheese for the pizza but I was wrong! They have vegan cheese and it's delicious. The place was decorated for the holidays and added to the ambiance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my dietary restrictions. They made sure I knew exactly what was in my order. One came out after 30 minutes and the other after an hour even after asking repeatedly for them. Our appetizers came out at separate times. Our server was inattentive and rarely checked on us. I'd love to give this place more stars and I hope it does well, but the service needs serious attention. On the plus side - drinks are good, especially their house specialty drinks. Good wine selection as well. The interior has a fresh, modern feel to it and the bar is cozy. Food for me was just okay - especially the pizza. If you're going to make pizza the star of the menu it should be awesome, and while it was decent, it was just kind of middle of the road. Service is where they really need help and I hope the owner/manager is reading and gets folks the training they need. I've been in a couple nights now and servers are generally inattentive (last visit sat at the bar for 10 minutes before anyone even asked me if I wanted anything). There also always seems to be some sort of mixup leading to dissatisfied tables. Another time I was in, one or more of the servers apparently was taking food from the pass and not checking tickets. Saw two pizzas pulled back into the kitchen when the servers weren't sure what table to deliver them to. By the time they realized who they were supposed to go to, the kitchen has already started to eat one of them. Really elementary stuff that definitely impacts your experience. Worst service one can imagine despite an uncrowded restaurant. 2 of 3 pizzas had visibly wet dough. Asked for extra time in oven on one. "Chef Refused", said would recook. Cool, that works. 30 minutes later, after never having been checked on for water refills, more drink orders, or even to bring the red pepper flakes requested at the delivery of the pizzas....after literally waving arms and asking for service, had to go to the bar to get any help. No pizza in sight. The refired/new pizza never came out before we left, after several "it will be right out"'s. The bread and spread appetizer was good. The drinks were good. This is a wine bar/restaurant tucked away in Akron. There's a small food menu not very extensive but has everything on it that it needs. Four sizes of pizza, only one kind of crust, many toppings. Crust and cocktails doesn't need more. The crust was light and perfectly done,the toppings just enough. So many pizzerias, including small ones, douse their crust with cheese and toppings, and until it's like eating a slab of casserole on top of a cracker. Not here, the bite was a wonderful delight. And the warmed olives !!! We got those on a whim, each took a bit and said WOW!! Service was great, and thank goodness there was no blasting music of any type to interfere with conversation and good eats. My family loves the pizza here, the kids especially always request the pepperoni pizza. The vibes are friendly and fun here. Service is attentive and more than one person checked on us frequently which was nice. The specialty cocktails are my favorite! The addition of the smoky dry ice is so fun. Went here for what was supposed to be a fun holiday meetup with family. Other than the festive holiday decorations, the night was a HUGE disappointment. The service was absolutely terrible. Like on a scale I have rarely experienced. Food and drinks were mediocre, especially for the price. About 40 minutes for a terribly executed charcuterie board that did not match the menu's description with only a couple other tables occupied. All five pizzas came out one by one, the last one arriving just when everyone else had finished. And with the wrong crust at that, had to be remade, so another 20 minute wait. $22 for a low quality cauliflower crust pizza that I took home in a box since everyone else was done eating by the time it arrived. Throughout the over two hour ORDEAL, we literally had to wave, jump up and down and go to the bar to get the surly, unconcerned servers' attention. It's not like they couldn't keep up, they were just ignoring people, standing around, organizing menus. Can't really remember the last time I was treated so rudely by servers. The manager apologized and comped the last pizza after I requested it, but also made a lot of excuses. Like he had no idea it would be busy the week of Christmas and was understaffed. The whole experience was an ordeal that put a damper on what was intended to be a festive family gathering. If you like to pay to be treated poorly, this is your jam. read more
