Haven't been here in over 5years, was in the area so I brought a friend. Nothing has changed (hasn't been updated) however the food still didn't miss a beat, still so tasty and delicious. They offer some great happy hours throughout the week , the one we stubbled upon was 50% off the whole food menu all day !!! It's like I like the spot, I like the food, but shit the bartender staff is inattentive. Granted it's a slow night (Wednesday) but she only catered to the people she knew while she enjoyed her dinner. Went here for my brother in laws birthday. The DJ was good, our waitress was nice but the food was terrible. I ordered the jerk chicken, it was not jerk chicken. I was honestly pretty wary of the ordering food, since we walked by the kitchen on the way to our table and I saw how nasty and dirty it was. Our group ordered 4 hookahs total and it was some of the worst hookah I've ever had. None of the flavors came through and it just tasted like crappy, harsh smoke. My boyfriend and I got southern and philly empanadas since they seemed to be the safest choice. The southern empanadas were decent; however, the philly empanadas were practically empty. The gracious bartender asked us what type of music we wanted to listen to and played good music for us. Idk what I was expecting but since we are in a pandemic I thought that the seating would be socially distanced from other parties but that was not the case. The food and service was decent. The ambience was decent. That's actually what the stars are for. The customers were all there having a great time drinking, singing and dancing. I believe the DJ's music played a great roll on that. The bartenders were nice and got our drinks quickly. Though they should of came back more frequently to ask if we needed anything. We ordered a hookah and that as well came rather quickly. Yet towards the end of the night they took it. I explained to the guy taking it that we weren't done and he stated it was almost closing time and he was taking it. Ten minutes later on the other side of the bar two customers still had there's and they were not taken away. Talk about treating customers fair. The cleaning of the place needed a bit more maintenance. The bar section that were sitting by was disgusting. Horrible service. I did not place my order until one hour after sitting. All food was not delivered and I was told that the waitress did not know they didn't have what was on the menu. After waiting an hour the waitress did not check on us. I found her and asked about the missing items and was then told it was unavailable after everyone in my party had completed their meal. Ok so we came into this place with some friends and family for some me adult beverages after my daughter's final exam. We ordered the Blue Sangria and it was way too strong. It was mostly rum! Sent it back and ordered a pitcher of regular sangria and were pleasantly surprised. N tx we ordered freed sliders, calamari and chicken quesadillas. Everything was off the hook great. Let me start by saying : thanks for doing what you can during COVID-19 by staying open BUT: You close at 2a. Kitchen closes at 12a. We got here at 10:30p. Waited about 15 min for a table then ordered our food as soon as we could... once we got our drinks so let's just say at 11p. We ordered shrimp and grits, stuffed shrimp with angel hair pasta and fried calamari. We were told at 11:30p that the kitchen had restrictions and didn't have the stuffed shrimp or shrimp and grits. Ok. No problem. So we updated our order immediately to a skirt steak wrap, Rasta pasta and crab cake then our waitress came to us at 12:04a (so 34min later and said "well the kitchen is closed so you can only get fried food". Still hungry and not sure how the kitchen is able to deny items on the menu when we arrived 90 min before your kitchen closed my friends insisting on ordering. I guess.. We ordered and then almost didn't even get those items because "the kitchen closed" per the waitresses. Luckily we received our items 30 min later. So let's recap: We Initially ordered at 11p. ONE HOUR before the kitchen closed. Don't tell me ONE HOUR later that you can't accommodate me because your kitchen is closed. Adjust your hours or inform me sooner or close if you can't service your paying customers. FYI - I've been coming here for years. This isn't baseless. So No i will no longer recommend people come here to eat during Covid. You will be disappointed. They obviously can't handle it. read more

I love this place! I come here sometimes for lunch with my coworkers since it's about a 5 minute walk from the office. The servers have been super attentive everytime i've gone. Drinks are made really well and they do have pretty good menu. I've tried their $5 bites menu if you're looking for small appetizers as well as the dolce burger, penne vodka and wings. I'm not a fan of their wings but I LOVE their penne vodka with some chicken cutlet. I don't know what they put in that sauce but it is so GOOD and worth the money. Their dolce burger is also really good. My coworker has also tried their dorito tacos but said it wasn't good. Overall the atmosphere is pretty chill for a lunchtime meal. I walked in on a Monday night before the rush around 7:30. I ordered a drink and the waitress forgot to bring me my drink, the clocked out because I guess her time on the clock was finished. That's fine, but a nice warning would've sufficed being that I waited for 12 minutes. We dined here for my best friends birthday. The business welcomed us in after we arrived a little late to our reservation. They just opened so everything wasn't ready (music, server, etc). We waited minutes before our server began to engage with us and we also waited a while to order. Two menu items were not prepared correctly, according to the menu descriptions. The Fettuccini Lobster with Hennessy cream sauce came out with just lobster on top of plan fettuccini pasta. Such a disappointment. Also, the salmon Caribe Jerk was not jerk at all. A red/burgundy sauce was drizzle on the salmon but it didn't taste spicy or sweet. Overall we had a good time celebrating outside of the errors. Hopefully this review helps prevent future errors like the ones we experienced today. The food came out in a timely manner, except the desert. The desert didn't have ice cream which the menu says it comes with as well. We would have liked to change our desert for a complete desert item, however we were not alerted prior to desert coming out. I wouldn't return because they are not prepared for business. If I'm spending hard earned money I'd like proper service. Not to mention no one told us that they didn't have sufficient supplies/ingredients to execute what's on their menu. So MYSELF and seven other ladies travel to this restaurant on Saturday from Albany New York, Poughkeepsie New York, Washington DC, and Virginia and the service was absolutely terrible. Although we had a reservation we did not realize that 11 minutes before 8:00 when I told the waitress we were going to order I was informed it was to late. We were told that we had to leave because they needed to turn the table over for another group and I said we are not done eating and they said that was not their issue they had to accommodate other guests and I said but we're already here and they said that they did not care and I promised to place them on Yelp I will never ever grace that establishment again it is awful it smelled the workers were doing hookah and taking shots during work hours very unprofessional. Also when we arrived we notified them that we had 2 more people in our party they were very rude and given a kiddy table. When we asked could we get a matching table they returned with a dirty table and I had to then ask them to wash it. I also spent $90 for 3 hookah's that I was made to turn in less than 30 minutes later as we were put out. DISGUSTING!!!!!! This is a fairly new restaurant and nightclub in Elizabeth. I can't comment on the food as I was only here for the lounge / club. The place is completely remodeled and no expense seems spared. I judge many new places by how much is spent on their bathrooms and the design of such and they did a great job there. Cover charge on a Sat. night was $15 for men and $10 for women. Kind of steep for a NJ club but we decided to go in anyway and try it. There are 3 different areas - the upstairs was rented out for a private party so unfortunately, I didn't get to see it. I would be interested in checking out what they did with that space. The main area where you walk into is very nice. The bar is long and there were plenty of bartenders working. The actual club is straight towards the back and it is a very large size for Elizabeth. Again, the bar her is enormous spanning the whole wall about a good 20 - 30 feet. The place is not as big as Ole if you are familiar with that place, but it definitely won't leave you feeling crowded. There is a nice smoking section outside where it looks like they are building something for the Summer. This would be a great place to have an outdoor area once it warms up. The only negative I could say has nothing to do with the venue. The Russians that were on their X doing their strange kick-dancing made me feel like I was back in grade-school. But, it was entertaining for about 2 min. then it was time to walk around and get a refill. Dolce is a great option to try out in Elizabeth. The crowd was mixed and the music was a good mixture of house and some free style. read more

This review is for the nightclub. I went this past Sunday night for my 25th birthday. I arranged it with a promoter to get myself and a few of my guests in free, plus VIP bands. I was also told that if I had six ladies in my group, I'd get a free bottle. Sweet. Now, with that said: my night ended being a disaster because when I showed up, all I got out of the deal was myself and ONE guest in free (everyone else ended up having to pay -- even though I went ahead and paid for two of my guests because I felt bad about the change in information). Other that: no VIP bands. And no free bottle. Since we didn't have our "VIP bands" (even after asking the promoter for them three or four times), our group kept getting moved. A female that worked there (whose name I should've gotten down) tried to tell us that we had to buy a bottle to be in VIP or we'd have to leave the area, even though I was supposed to get one for FREE. One of my guests actually offered to buy a bottle so we could keep our table, but then they changed their statement and said we needed two bottles! Are you kidding me?! The promoter who I worked with for that night had his friggin' name in balloons in front of the club for goodness sake (because it was his birthday too), and we were STILL being treated like crap. I literally had to ask for the owner, who was rude and dismissive at first. After talking to both him and the promoter, my group finally got the bottle (some measly moscato, but hey, at least it was something) and a table (but it was in the lounge area; no where near the VIP or in the party area at all). If you go there for a regular club night, you'll probably have more fun because the music is decent and the lounge looks kind of nice on the inside. My guests said their drinks were good (I didn't have any because I was so concerned about what was going on). Also, everyone (except the owner and that girl who worked in VIP) were really nice. One of the girls who worked at the bar actually went and got the owner for me when I asked her where he was; I thought that was really nice. But if you go there for your birthday, just go with ONE person and don't expect VIP, unless you pay for it. Don't listen to those promises. Like they say: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." They won't be getting any of my business again, that's for sure. read more

It has a little tiki area outdoors for smokers, with a small outdoor bar and heated lamps in bad weather. They do their best to keep the crowd as "classy as possible" by strictly enforcing a dress code". But it is still on Broad St in E-town and it is ghetto. Born and raised here I guess I am one of the few people that wished we had some more neighborhood dives for people that don't want to get fancy just to have a drink. This place is a night club and during the day it's a restaurant. - I am reviewing the restaurant. I work around the corner from this place and it's one of the only nicer sit-down areas in Downtown Elizabeth (which doesn't say too much). The club portion is in the back and the eating area is up front. It's never crowded when I go in there, which is a plus, but the speed of service at times makes you think otherwise. The food is OK nothing out of this world. I think there pizza/flatbread things are probably the best. I have a feeling this place functions better as a night club than it does a place to eat. read more

I got the seafood risotto with modern ceasar. Lovedddd the salad and all the seafood on the pasta was really good but didn't care for pasta too much cream on it I guess. My friends ordered the shrimp Rasta pasta one tasted sour with everything on it, missing the Cajun in it and the other was plan but you definitely tasted the Cajun. The penne jambalaya was ordered and to be honest anywhere you go will never be better than your southern mamas jambalaya. Some furniture booths could be touched up, it's tearing up. The one bathroom definitely need to be dressed and add another stole cause I can see them having a full night and the bathroom being a problem. Waitress was nice they all dress alike.
