I booked an appointment with someone, but when I came back the next day, they said that person couldn't do the job and tried to assign a new, inexperienced staff member to me. The same thing happened to my mom; she came in for her appointment and was told her designated staff was fully booked, so they forced the same newbie on her, and the work was poorly done. Paid $70 for acrylics with dip color and within 6 days, one nail broke in half. I went back the next day to have it fixed and the technician wasn't happy that I needed it fixed. Despite the attitude, they fixed it. Two days later, another nail broke in half. This time I left for vacation so I had to leave it. Two days later while on vacation, one nail just fell off. Next day, still on vacation, another cracked in half. So within two weeks of a $70 set, four nails total have broken. All during a trip that I needed them to look nice for. Acrylics should last a full 3-4 weeks, no issues, if applied correctly. This is how long they usually last for me when I have gone elsewhere. For this price, go elsewhere. You are better off using press on nails. (Cheaper and lasts just as long.) Look at the other reviews. A lot of others mention premature chipping and cracking. Their process is sloppy. Over all pleased. I'm a diagnosed perfectionist who normally does her own nails as I'm never totally satisfied with another person's work. I like how the technician shaped the dip so they don't look like horse hoofs. My Goddaughter had Ann and had flowers and a em French tip look which came out very cute! Quiet place. Lots of technicians. Clean salon (floors, bathroom. . . ). Thoughtful about hand washing, having everyone wash hands upon entry. I took a tip from a good friend and went to Dolce Nails even though it is 30 minutes from me. My coworker always goes to Anne but she wasn't available. So I scheduled for Lynn (who I also have heard good things about) but I actually got Stephen. My manicure is amazing. I got a dip soak off and a dip manicure. Great first experience. I came in for a pedicure on Sunday for my birthday. I had Hope, and she was the very best! She was so thorough. Not the best, not the worst. Have always asked for the leg massage to be a bit firmer but never happens. Have no problem with the pedicures itself. Also, would make things much easier if all employees spoke English. No matter where or who they are. I finally found a nail shop in the Nashville area that I can trust EVERY time. The salon is so neat and elegant. They are one of the few nail shops that make drastic measures to ensure they are following CDC guidelines. You get your temperature taken upon arrival and have to wash your hands before being seated whether you're getting hands or toes done. Every single tech here takes their time, so you will not be disappointed by who you are paired with. Cyndy Tran did my longer nails with the white tip, Lynn did my toes, and Steven did my shorter nude nails (photo taken a week and a half later). I recommend Dolce to anyone. read more

i had a gel manicure done at dolce nails and two days later all of the fingers except for my pinky finger peeled completely off (photos shown were taken before the rest of the peeling took place). we called the store and they said they had a guarantee for the gel manicure to last two weeks and that i could come in and they would redo it. explained that i was out of town for work for the summer (i am a touring musician) and they said that i could come back when i got home. so today after getting back into town i called and reminded them that i would be coming in to get my nails redone from when they all peeled off and that i had pictures of the receipt and the peeled nails with the date on the pictures and the receipt. the receptionist told me to come in, so i drive 40 minutes to dolce nails. upon getting there they told me there was nothing they could do since it has been longer than two weeks...that they weren't sure who i had talked to but if it had been longer then two weeks without seeing the nails they wouldn't redo them for me. (we live in a town of touring musicians and people who travel for work...i don't feel like that is hard to understand...) i spoke with the manager and explained, offered to show my pictures as evidence and she refused to look at my pictures and i was not offered anything as compensation. i have worked in hospitality before and every job i have had, we would make sure to go above and beyond to take care of the customer, even if the customer is not right... we would take care of them. so my problem here isn't with the quality of service, it is with the complete lack of customer service. take care of your customers and they will return. don't take care of them and they won't. i was fully prepared to tip whoever was helping today very well. instead, i was stared at as i ashamedly walked out of the door. all of this to say, i will never be returning to dolce nails. read more

Paid for my daughter, a poor traveling musician and cancer survivor to get her nails manicured and gel coated before summer tour. Dolce's gel fell fully off at least 4 nails in less than 48 hours. We have time stamped photos to prove. I called Dolce and the lady who was nice but perhaps struggled to understand my southern accent - anyway she said there was a 14 day warranty - no problem. They would fix the defective gel manicured nails when my daughter returned. Of course as I mentioned, she was unable to return from her summer tour for several weeks but that should make no difference. The point is very expensive gel nails lasted less than 48 hours and they refused to fix them. AFTER telling me they would. Is this complete product fail and cold stiff of the customer fair? Is this the way Dolce treats a customer? Keep your word. Do the right thing! . Less than 48 hours and a tour with gel literally falling off on day 2. Embarrassing. Dolce completely failed to stand by their product or to honor their word. My daughter was treated like she did something wrong which she didn't. read more

Very reasonable price for just gel on my hands which was $15 (not the full mani service). My nail tech, Caitlyn, was so sweet and very easy to talk to. Two weeks later and my polish is still on strong. I went back the next day to get my toes done with Caitlyn again. I wanted to just get the gel off and add regular polish to them. She did some scrubbing here and there on my callouses, but not the full shebang (which is what I asked for). The service ended up being more than anticipated, but maybe I'm just not too familiar on how the pricing works. I'll have to clarify next time. The polish is still strong on my toes, tho. I sipped on my wine while waiting to get my toes done and utilized the massage chair. It got a little uncomfortable when it was getting tight around my butt and hips, but there didn't seem to be an option to make it stop. I sucked it up for the time being. Love this place ! Only had one bad experience where my gel nails started peeling so bad after 1 week that they literally were able to peel them off , but they fixed em free of charge ! And when you get a mani here they guarantee 2 weeks fix ups free of charge ! Which is awesome ! i usually never like to write a bad review but unfortunately i have to cause this was bad... i got an acrylic fill (got my original set at another place i like to go to but they didn't have any bookings that day.) so i opted for this place and 6 days later my nail breaks. i go in the following wk to get it fixed and as i go to leave a tip, the guy tries to charge me $7 for one nail! i told them i had gotten full set not even a full wk before the nail broke and another lady jumps in because the guy charging seemed like he didn't know what to do, so she proceeds to argue with me that gel and dip have a guarantee for 3-4 wks but not acrylic. i have never heard of that? so i told her that is absolutely ridiculous. very unprofessional. not to mention when i went in initially the girl i believe her name is nina or lina, left a few of my nails lumpy and uneven. also when i told her one of my nails were sensitive due to a past nail crack she gave me attitude and then moments later files extremely hard on my sensitive nail after i told her multiple times that that nail was sensitive. also my sister in law got a pedi there at the same time and her nails chipped while she was there and the next day... not a good place would not recommend. i'd recommend going to zen right across the street read more

Just another typical nail salon. Not impressed by the gel manicure and basic pedicure. My entire nail bed was not painted and they look like they're already grown out by one week. She cut my nails and shaped most of them uneven after telling her once before. The gel nails are dull in color on the tips and not shiny like the rest. The pricing is also not consistent. Most people in the salon were offered drinks but my mother and I were not asked by either of our technicians. Overall, this place is very good. It's very clean, they are polite, and it's a nice atmosphere. They give you a drink while you are soaking your feet, which is awesome. I have had several manicures and pedicures here. The quality of the work is usually very good, but with one person it was horrible. She was almost pretending to do each toe, like I wouldn't notice. Then she was looking away when she was scrubbing my foot with a pumice and scrubbed too hard so it cut me. Not good. The workers that I really liked were Lynn and the male manicurist (sorry I didn't get his name). The eyebrow waxing is very good too. O...K how to write a review about a nail place without sounding weird?? They serve alcohol....yes that is a plus for any establishment in my opinion that deals with sharp tools around my FEET! Wifey brought my here as part of my bday and i'm not complaining cause hey...brotha like to be pampered from time to time! :) So i got these eagle claws done on my feet. Now everything was relaxing up until I realized that my wife and daughter got young tender roni's and i got the female version of the old dude from the movie Karate Kid working on my feet! She was kind of rough but the worst was yet to come as there was a part where they put your foot into a plastic bag filled with HOT WAX!!! I tried to man up as best as possible but gotd%*!@ it was hot!!! I sucked it up and swallowed the wine in attempts to black out under alcohol and my feet melting off but that didn't work as i asked her to remove them! It was such a relief when she took the bags off and put it in cold water and began massaging them...ahhhhhh now that's more like it! Customer service was very good! They checked on me, wife and stepdaughter repeatedly and even engaged in conversation. Ambiance is nice, and they massage chairs were like heaven! Only point i make is to make sure you want the hot foot wax ordeal before you dive in! I have tried several nail salons in this area but Dolce Nails is the absolute best!! Their technicians are all super friendly and I enjoy that they are chatty when I want to talk but also let me enjoy my book quietly if I am getting a pedicure. Their SNS manicures are always great and mine last for 3+ weeks, unless I'm in the pool or ocean. I am a marathon runner and my toenails take a beating from all the miles; Dolce is the only place I've gotten a pedicure where they cleaned up my feet but it wasn't painful. I also appreciate that they don't take off too much of the calluses that I've worked so hard for with running! I tried this place at the suggestion of a friend that goes to Cindy there. Well, she didn't tell me that Cindy was her preferred nail tech. The first three visits (serviced by various techs) were fine but the most recent two were disappointing. I went in on last Saturday and felt I got a rushed (gel mani) job. The rushed job was confirmed when the index finger nail peeled off and broke Saturday night while zipping my skirt. The thumb and left hand also had gel lifting on 2 nails. I went back in on Monday evening only to have both hands redone and worse than they were before. I now have thick huge lumps on the tips of my nails. It went from too thin gel coating to too thick. I almost went back to show them just how bad it was. But I don't think they really care about repeat business at this location. 3 stars given because the first three visits were satisfactory. read more

I was in the area and decided to try this place out. The wait wasn't too bad because it gave me time to pick a nail color (waited about 20-25 mins). They were accommodating because I was unsure if I wanted a full set. I currently had dip powder on my nails. So when I sat down I told the tech I wanted a full set w/ almond shaping. She said it's $5 extra for that shape. I then asked why do they charge for a shape?! She replied anything other than square or round they charge. I then asked her was she good at shaping almond nails. She replied, "I try." . Anyway got my nails done. They weren't the best of course. They also charged to take off my old dipping powder. I just find it disturbing if I'm getting a service and you're still charging for a takeoff. The nail tech was very rough at first proceeding our conversation but then lightened up after we started conversing about general things. Also, another thing that I noticed was that they advertise using a sanitized pack of materials when starting a new client. I did NOT see her open a new packet. My 14-year-old daughter just came from this salon and I am livid. She was treated disrespectfully and her nails are messed up. She paidfull set of acrylics and they didn't even put a top coat on. The technician rolled her eyes at my daughter, treated her very rudely, and did a terrible job! I will never let her go back, and I'm sure she will tell her friends what a terrible experience she had. UPDATE: Took my daughter back the next day and the owner was very helpful and considerate. They re-did my daughter's nails (at no charge) and also gave her 2 gift certificates to use in the future. The technician who re-did them is named Ann - did a great job and was very nice. We had a reservation for 5 of us to have a mani/pedi, 3 of the girls were done with their pedicure before my water was even turned on. I asked for a regular pedicure, which I thought meant no add ons. Apparently that's not what it means to them, once they did the extras they brought me a sheet that said the difference between basic and regular. They could have given me the sheet before. That play on words is rude. When my pedicure was finished everyone else was already done with their manicure so I didn't have time to get my nails done. Worst manicure I've ever had. Had a gel manicure & by the next day it was already looking awful. And really they didn't even paint the whole nail. It was peeling near the cuticle & looked as if it was already a couple weeks old. This place has been my go-to for the entire 10 years I've lived in the Cane Ridge area. While the shop is pleasing to the eye, and the staff pleasant enough, they simple cannot keep up with the growth in the area, especially on the weekends. I showed up at 2:00pm on a Sunday and was told it would be about 20 minutes. The put me in a chair after about 10 minutes but then I just sat and waited for almost an hour. No water to soak in, no offer for a drink and an attitude from the owner when I asked how much longer she thought it might be. Then a rushed pedicure so that they can move along to the next person. Don't tell someone it's a 20 minute wait and then get snarky when they ask an hour later if service will be provided. While I feel a sense of loyalty as a long time customer I'm pretty sure I could (and likely will) find a better place to go. read more

Unfortunately, I will no longer support this business. I am not frustrated with them, I am saddened. I have gone here multiple times with my cousin who has special needs and every time they say something in regards to "keeping her under control." I used to love going here because they do a good job and I have always been happy with their service, but they have crossed the line. This has really caused a lot of hurt in me and for them to say it right in front of my cousin who has understood every word that the owner has said. The last time I went in the owner was standing at the door and I said we would like a gel manicure and she blatantly said "even her?" while pointing at my cousin and saying she could only get one if she was well-behaved, didn't ask to change her nail color once they started, and that I "handled her correctly." Her mother has even gone there with her and she has said the same remarks. The owner has told us that my cousin needs to "behave" and that "she can't change her nail color if she is unhappy with it" (I know this can be frustrating, but I myself have changed my nail color when I was unhappy with it and have never received a backhand). It really disappoints me to see them act this way, mostly the owner. Most of the workers will not even speak directly to my cousin while giving her a manicure. Every time we have gone we are greeted at the door disrespectfully. The owner is almost blocking us in and it is such a shame to be "welcomed" into a business like that and for her to clearly not want us there. When I have gone there alone, I am NEVER treated that way. I am treated like any other customer. The first time I let it go, but due to it happening multiple times I cannot be silent. I am not one to write a negative review about a business, but this has truly upset me and I think their clients need to be aware of this.
