Let me start off with how cute the interior of the salon is! It gives an earthy and modern feel. The restrooms are kept very clean and it was nice to have coffee, tea or water as complimentary. Upon entering for my appointment the two gals that I engaged with were very welcoming. I believe the gal that checked me in was Megan and the other gal I forget her name but she has red hair with cute bangs in a ponytail who was letting me know not to worry about the hour parking in front of the salon. My advice to those new to the salon is to get there early as parking is limited in the front and the ample parking would be across the street or in the residential area. Now let me get to my stylist who wow'ed me. This was my second time around with this stylist. Backstory I met Shawn Babauta at JCPenny as I went in to get a haircut and she mentioned she was moving to Dolce Salon which was the best decision she made as well as for Dolce Salon to add an amazing stylist to their team. Shawn is so talented and the thing I love about Shawn when I first met her was she listened to what my concerns were and what my inspiration was. Also Shawn gives good feedback on styles that compliment your face and how much work a certain style would be for example bangs. That's a plus for me because not many stylists listen or give you that type of feedback. When it comes to a long term stylist I feel that not only are their talents a plus but also vibing with them is important. Shawn I'm so happy my husband found you on social media because moving here due to a military move is always a bit rough. I have been going to Megan loyaly for a few years now. She is incredibly warm and welcoming and makes you feel like you've known her your whole life. Plus she is incredibly talented! I started seeing her for extensions while I grew out a past cut. She coached me through different options, was transparent with the cost and the upkeep and she was able to blend a pretty blunt cut with IBE extensions and taught me how to style it myself to blend best. She is versitle when it comes to color. We have done vibrant rainbow on rows of extensions, subtle highlights to reach a natural honey blonde with low maintaince roots, and lately we have been playing with subtle toner. Whenever I want to make a change, she talks me through the steps to get there, the cost, the upkeep, and the commitment. She gives me different options and ensures we are on the same page before she starts anything. I have so much trust in her abilities and judgement when it comes to my hair and would recommend anyone who is looking for a versitle stylist who is an absolute delight to make an appointment with Megan. This was my second visit. 1st for wedding hair in 2023 and this visit for a bob. I spent weeks searching reviews and salons and decided who I wanted to try at this location. Setting up the appointment was a lot of effort. The phone wasn't answered so I had to book online. After finally accessing my account and picking a time and stylist it was about 40 minutes. Confirming, re-confirming.. reconfirming again.. stylist accepted my appointment.. etc etc. The day of I show up exactly on time and am introduced to someone completely different. Not who I booked with and someone brand new to the salon. There was no explanation why I was swapped and no discount for being a new employee. The cut was ok, and I really liked the stylist personally, but... I wasn't walking out saying "wow." It was just fine. First time in at Dolce Salon today on 6th Ave. First off, the salon is super cute, really clean and organized, and all the people that work there are really sweet, friendly, and beyond welcoming. My stylists name was, Kaelie, and she was super amazing. She just moved here from the East Coast and just started at the salon a few weeks back and I highly recommend her. What asked for, vs what I got. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home yesterday and looked at it from the side; I asked the stylist "it's shorter in the back, right?" when she was finished and she said yes, so I assumed I just couldn't tell from the front in the mirror because of the way it was styled. She seemed a little rushed so I definitely should've double checked. Really sad because I gave 5 stars the first time I came here, but now I'm trying to get this fixed ASAP. :( read more

I saw Brett for a color consultation, was interested in getting red put in but was worried about how it would fade etc. He offered me a red gloss, said it would wash out completely within 12 weeks and it was very semi-permanent and had time to do it right then. Well it looked ok on day one, but it didn't go all the way to my natural roots (brown), and by day 5 or so it just looked like a horrible grown-out box dye job. I attempted to contact the salon to discuss the outcome with Brett and see what could be done, left multiple voicemails with the salon, his personal inbox and contacted him on instagram and could not for the life of me get a response back. Someone from the salon finally called me back and said he is a private contractor and that he needs to be contacted directly and would not take any responsibility for the poor outcome or his lack of communication. I was so frustrated (and at this point pretty embarrassed about the state of my hair and needing it fixed), I ended up going to a different salon, who was wonderful and explained to me about the molecule sizes of the different dye colors and that the red was essentially never going to "wash out". She did her best to blend it into my natural color, which massively improved the situation, but I was still pretty mad that I never heard back from Brett and spent over $100 on the gloss treatment, and a couple hundred dollars elsewhere to fix it. Fast forward several months (and a few hundred dollars later), the red never washed out and I ended up chopping 7 inches off my hair to get it out completely. read more

The overall vibe of the salon and the people there are pleasant. I feel like their stylists are well trained. But be prepared to spend all day here if you're getting a cut & color. My 3 hour time-slot turned into 5 1/2 hours without any warning or acknowledgement that we'd go over our time. I also have a friend that (used to) frequently get color and extensions here with a similar experience - she started taking a day off work just to have time for her services because it'd take several hours. But recently, her stylist was a no call no show, leaving her devastated because my friend likes the work this person does, despite the hours it takes. I'd keep going here if my time was respected - but also have a hard time supporting since my friend was just stood up. read more

I had an appointment with Marisa today, and it was lovely. She was attentive, kind, and so so easy to chat with. The vibe of the salon is amazing, clients were happy to be there, and you can hear conversation all throughout your appointment, and of course music. Very comfortable, easy atmosphere. What Marisa did for my hair was everything. I went in with a bit of a history, she was honest, upfront and realistic about what we could do with my hair according to its past, and still gave more than what I was looking for. When they were done blowing it dry they said I hadn't signed up for using a flat iron to straighten it, which I figured was of course part of styling hair. They said they didn't have time. First off this pains me to write a bad review because I never like to make someone feel bad. I feel like I have to write this to help others not to have to go through this. I came to Dolce Salon and had Meagan cut my hair. I asked her to freshen up my layers that were already existing. My haircut went super fast and I've never had it go that fast before. It took about 15 minutes to cut and when I asked her if she did my layers in the back she said yes. I never saw her pull my hair up to check any layers or cut them to make them match up and not all of my ends were even touched. I had a lot of whole and straight across chops in my hair. I called the salon to see if someone could fix my hair. They were going to try to have Meagan cut my hair again. I said I don't feel comfortable with that. The receptionist said she would try to find someone else to cut it and try to find a way to not charge me to get it fixed. I said, "I shouldn't get charged to get it fixed since it's not my fault my hair got messed up. The receptionist found someone else to cut my hair. She made me appointment for 5:15 PM by the time I was actually seen it was 5:40 PM so I had to wait OK fine. The lady that cut my hair a second time Crystal. She started talking about how bad my hair color was. I told her I got it balayage from a different salon but I had dark previously. She said it was so bad and brassy that I need to come to her so that she can fix it. She use the F bomb twice as my 10 year old was sitter right there. Ugh. I asked her if she could fix my hair and cut it in a U-shaped and fix all the choppiness. She cut it super straight across and used thinning shears on my hair even though she said she was going to point cut it and I told her my hair doesn't do well with any razors or thinning. I originally asked Meghan to take only an inch off and now after the two haircuts, it's about 4 inches shorter if not more grrr. I am super disappointed because this salon looks super cute and I was hoping to get a good haircut . This is not the case. read more

Heather and Wes (wife/husband business owners) are a nightmare. I repeatedly requested a refund for the god awful extensions Heather installed. These are her "speciality" yet she doesn't even know how to place them properly or order enough hair in the first place? Wes emailed me a "cease and desist" he typed up saying I committed libel and slander for posting my review and pictures LOL. Every other stylist I showed her work to was horrified! Even more so to learn she doubled down on this ugly and cheap looking nightmare that she charged $600 for. Thankfully, Heather is no longer seeing clients for hair. I have been coming to this salon off & on since I moved here in 2021. Yesterday I went to this salon for a Brazilian blowout. I booked with Shawn. When I got there Shawn took one look at my hair & told me that doing a Brazilian wouldn't get me the result that I wanted. You might think this is a negative review, but it's not. That was such an example of the integrity. Shawn knew what my hair actually needed was not something that could be provided. So I was recommended to another salon to get what I actually needed. I ended up paying 1/4 of what I was gonna pay. Dolce, I have worked with 2 of your stylists & had my lashes done with Olivia. You have a remarkable team. I WILL be back when my hair is where it needs to be for me to get the Brazilian blowout. But the fact that instead of taking my money I was recommended to a service that would be more helpful, will stick with me & I will forever refer people! I have been going to Dolce for about a year now. I got really lucky after moving here from Oregon and found my stylist Vanessa on the first try. The salon is beautiful but some of the women there are bad vibes. Yesterday 10/30 I received a text from the salon stating that Vanessa is moving on and would I like to book with a different stylist for 50% off. I found this text to be extremely disrespectful to not only me but especially Vanessa. How dare the salon immediately start trying to steal Vanessa's clients after she gives her two weeks. She wasn't even able to message her clients herself to tell us that she's going to be at a new salon. The audacity that Dolce has to steal clients and try to pass it off as a favor to us is gross. Vanessa has worked extremely hard to build her clientele and those other two "stylists" should have to do the same and not be rewarded someone else's clients in such a shady way. Think about the people who can behave in such a way and ask yourself if you want to spend your time in their presence and more importantly, put your money in their pockets. This was my second time coming to Dolce, with the first time being a few years ago for a salvage job for my horrible, knotted hair thanks to a long hospital stay. They were very kind and patient despite how intense the detangling was and managed to save a good portion of my length in the process. I came out very happy and decided to come for a second time. The service was just as amazing. I went to get a cut for my now very long, curly, & dark hair and wanted some blonde ombré as well. A lot of salons take off way too much when you're a curly girl, but my stylist was conservative and made sure I would be satisfied with the dry length as opposed to the wet. They also didn't fry my ends and when I couldn't figure out how I wanted it toned, they brought me to a really lovely caramel blonde that I get compliments on all the time. I also asked a bunch of questions about how to bring out more of my natural curl and my stylist gave me ton a tips and even recommended products. They also didn't push me to buy in store, which tells me the stylists care more about helping you reach your hair goals than making commission off product sales like some salons do. My only complaint is they left their large rolling door open during a heat wave and I was sweating by the end of it (not fun when you're already under a hairdryer). I could have sworn they have air conditioning so I'm not sure why they did that. Otherwise the inside is trendy and cute. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

From the first time I booked an appointment, being new to the state, and every time since I've returned the past couple of years, this salon has been above and beyond in their customer service. One of my favorite things about Dolce Salon is my hair wizard, Crystal Salitore! She has never left me disappointed. Go see Elle! I never thought I'd end up saying this, but I finally love my hair when I look in a mirror! I had a terrible salon experience three years ago where I ended up having to cut my waist length hair to my chin, and it traumatized me so much that I ended up trying to do my own hair from then on. When I wanted to go from highlights to platinum blonde, I knew that it wasn't something I could do on my own. I did so much research and looked everywhere for a stylist that I felt comfortable with. Elle was not only super nice, but very informative. After our consultation I felt really good about having her get me back to hair I love. I had no doubts that Elle could get my hair to platinum and get the colour I like. What I didn't expect is how healthy my hair would still feel after. She must have some kind of magic because people not only complement my hair for how nice it looks, but they also come up and say how healthy it looks. Not something you expect when going platinum! I came in Interested in hair extensions, but I needed to get color out of the hair before moving forward. The girl was very nice and got almost all the colors out. The issue I had was when I noticed color blotches on my roots. I told my stylist my concerns but was told no that wouldn't have happened. Wasn't on your roots or it wasn't on there long enough to change color. This is where I was disappointed. After looking at it and hearing how it couldn't have been her. I just finally said okay maybe it's just the lighting in here. I paid and left but I wish she would have listened to my concerns and wanted to help make it right.
