I also noticed that there was a couple patiently seated to be serviced as well. This is maybe 5-7 minutes of me waiting and still the gentleman didn't acknowledge me. That puts a bad tastes in my mouth when you are facing the entrance door and the employee pretends not to see you to greet or to let the customer know that you are recognized and I'll be with you momentarily. Once the couple that was being serviced in front of me stepped away from the desk. I walked up, and asked for Sean...he was already gone for the day and this I was unaware of especially after conversing with him yesterday and he said, He'd be here all day Sunday. I wasn't really upset but the guy behind the desks had No clue of what I was talking about when I asked for Sean. I know you are wondering, Well why did she travel 28 miles to this particular location and I could have gone to a American Freight closer to me? This was the ONLY American Freight that had the CORRECT color to my specially marked down patio set that I'd recently purchased and Love it! Will I ever travel far and wide to get furniture it's possible but now that gas is damn near $5 a gallon it won't be any time soon. I'll shop American Freight again.

They even swapped the dryer cord for the correct type before loading them up. When I got home, the washer worked great--but the dryer tripped the breaker as soon as I plugged it in, even without turning it on. I called the store, and they told me to bring it back, claiming everything is tested before sale. That would've meant renting or borrowing another truck and hauling it down from a 4th-floor apartment with no elevator. The guy I spoke to (the big guy) was rude and dismissive. Instead of dealing with that hassle again, I opened it up myself and found they wired the dryer cord incorrectly--putting the neutral wire to ground. Once I fixed the wiring, the dryer worked perfectly. Even after explaining what happened, there was no apology or accountability--just more attitude. Bottom line: the appliances you buy here might be faulty and not work, and the customer service is terrible. If you decide to shop here, insist that they test everything in front of you before you leave. Also, it's a cash-only business, so keep that in mind--and don't expect any real help or refunds if something goes wrong.

My father brought me here after my 5 year old washer & dryer I bought from Lowes crapped out. I wasn't looking to spend another $800 ($400/piece). I found a Maytag set for $400. Since my father is a regular they gave us a discount. So I paid less than $400 with tax for the set. It had some paint chipping and dents. But it works. And the younger gentleman even helped load it into my SUV. I agree with some of the bad reviews about the older gent. He was kind of rude. But hey, you're spending less than $200 a piece for a used washer & dryer. Located in a very seedy area. You get what you pay for. You want non-dented appliances & commission-based customer service. Go to the big box stores!

We went to Ed Kellum based on a recommendation from a friend and also because we wanted better…read moreservice than we could expect from a big box store like Home Depot/Lowe's. On January 4th, we purchased a KitchenAid double oven from Mark Pritchard. It was expected to arrive in late January, so he gave us an approximate installation date of February 1. Since we hadn't heard from him during the first week of February, we called him several days after the promised installation date to check on the status. He seemed surprised to get our call. He called us back and told us that the KitchenAid was on backorder for several more weeks. So, he offered us a more expensive oven (at a discount, but still more money than we planned to spend) and we paid the difference ONLY because we needed a working oven. The Fulgor Milano was installed the following Saturday. But, Kellum's installer failed to test both ovens before he left. After he left, we discovered that only one of them worked. We contacted Mark who sent an electrician to our house. The electrician determined nothing was wrong with the wiring at our house. We contacted Mark again. Mark then arranged (through Kellum's distributor) to send Apex (a repair company) to our house. Apex replaced two parts on the oven, and it still didn't work. Our request for a new (WORKING) oven was declined by both Mark and the distributor, and Apex came back out more than a week later on Feb 24 and replaced a third part on the oven. So, as of February 24, we now have a "brand new" oven (for which we paid several thousands of dollars) that has already been repaired twice (three parts replaced) in less than a month after waiting more than 3 weeks beyond the delivery time promised, and at a cost of several hundred dollars more than we planned to spend. Not once has Kellum reached out to see if the oven now works. We were told they would extend the warranty on the oven that was installed for one year. But, several months later, we've never been able to get anything in writing regarding the extension of the warranty. We are now planning to replace our dishwasher and two refrigerators. Based on our experience, we will shop elsewhere. Needless to say, we are not happy with the service we received or the condition of the oven on which we spent several thousand dollars. We should have gone to Home Depot or Lowe's. Kellum's service was awful. We DON'T recommend Kellum to ANYONE! Dear Business Owner - if you're only planning to reply "Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. We regret to hear that our service did not meet your expectations. At Ed Kellum & Son, we take pride in ensuring each of our customers' satisfaction. We continually strive to enhance our services and we hope to have another opportunity to serve you better in the future", please don't bother. That means nothing to me. And, your horrible service blew all your future opportunties to "serve me better".

Delivery times were not as arranged causing inconvenience as we spent all day waiting for a no show. Delivery service people were outstanding but washer and dryer were larger than expected and protrude out 2 inches farther than old set. Cooktop fit into space just fine but the knobs were a different color than expected and the alternate set did not fit on the posts built in on the cooktop. The double ovens were taller than the available space, so we are paying to have a contractor work on the cabinetry above the ovens to make them fit. The Maytag set has a WiFi set up to tell you when the clothes cycles are completed. The chime signal is inaudible so you must have your phone handy while doing laundry is you want to know when clothes are finished washing or drying. We are very unhappy about this feature and wouldn't have bought the set if our salesman had clued us in beforehand. We voiced our concerns to Andrew and he never bothered to reply. We went to management and they did return our calls and were "very sorry" for our troubles but did nothing to rectify the situation. We will never do business with this company again and neither should you.

Even if the knobs fell they would have had gotten stuck in the wrapping. In the picture you can see all the knobs in place. Another thing I want to add the truck I transported the stove on won't go over 40pmh because of transmission. So I know for a fact they couldn't have flown out like they said at the store. We get there I go inside and start with paperwork. When I come back to the truck Pedro who's been with them over 30 years according to what the owner said. Had already unloaded the stove, and unwrapped it. Cool no problem but than he asks me if I'm missing the 2 left knobs which of course threw me off a little and I was like they should have been there. I looked around the truck bed around the area nothing. Keep in mind I drove in the service road at all times because I live next to the service road that literally drives to DoLittle's. I was going a good 30,35 mph so I drove back and drove slowly all the way back to Dolittles and nothing no knobs in sight if they would of fell I'm pretty sure I'd seen them in the road if not next to the road. I went back to the front desk told the lady if we could review the cameras I clearly said I didn't want to blame nobody because accidents can happen. She said the only person that has access to the cameras is the owner who is not here today but I can call him. So she did I explained to him what was going on he said that their was no reason for them to have my knobs. That he wasn't going to be at the store until today Wednesday April 22, 2026 and that he was going to review the cameras and call me back. So here we are today he didn't even call me the girl at the front desk did. And she told me they reviewed the footage and they didn't see anything. Ok cool so my wife goes up there to speak to the owner and show him the cameras of how it left our home. And you know what the owner said he said he didn't have access to the cameras that his wife did? So how is it that the young lady told me that the only person that can see the cameras is the owner whom I spoke to. And than on the phone she said they reviewed the cameras but than my wife goes up there in person and the owner tells her that he can't see them because his wife is the one that can see them!!!!! They really screwed us over some knobs when they cost 25.99 for a new pack at Amazon. It's not about the money it's about the principle. This people are not trustworthy and I wouldn't recommend doing business with them.
