I had TWO appliances go out - a non-smart, "old school", plain jane GE fridge, and a Whirlpool washing machine that we love. The fridge and freezer had suddenly stopped remaining cold enough for safe food storage. Serge had the fridge back up with a new defrost heater element module, and it has been going steady for weeks, now. I suspect we may get another 12 years out of this beast. Remarkably, the ice maker is also working like new, again. I guess when that element is going out, it affects much in the whole unit, with the way they circulate the air in these things. Serge explained this very well to me and I appreciate that transfer of knowledge more than anything else. The washer required a new control board and pump. This is in the garage, and Serge was able to determine that rats may have gotten in at some point, doing their chewing thang, and the wires shorted, blowing the pump, eventually blowing the controller. We have since been fostering some feral cats, and rats have been a rare sight, now. Happy to have it repaired. The entire time, I felt in-the-loop. Everything was explained in perfect detail for my level of understanding. Serge took time to hop on his phone and seek alternatives to offer me choices in paths to take. Honest communication at every step. Poor Vera. No one mentions Vera. VERA ROCKS! She was in a happy mood for every call. She took time to go between Serge and myself, if she was unsure about an answer. She never made anything up when she did not know the answer. I always felt in good hands dealing with Vera. Both of these people are good, honest, hard-working people and I hope you will consider Lucid Appliance Repair the next time you are faced with a failing "loved one", instead of buying deeper into the overly capitalist chain of breaking/buying/breaking/buying. I read the reviews with the 1.5 star average and was apprehensive with Quality Services working on…read moreour Thermador Columns refrigerator since the previous company AHS sent, who had high reviews, wasn't able to fix the condensation leak and QS was assigned as a 2nd opinion. Embarrassingly, I was completely wrong about QS and actually recognized the technician Jared who had done an excellent job on the Thermador freezer water dispenser back in 2023. He is extremely polite, professional, and was able to fix the issue the previous company abandoned because they couldn't figure out why the water was still leaking after replacing the drip pan in the top of the refrigerator. The previous company had been out three times already and requested AHS get a second opinion from another service provider. Jared was able to figure out using an innovative way to squirt water into the drip pan to determine the drip line had a clog and was able to pull the line out from the bottom of the refrigerator causing the water to drain then he released the buildup that was causing the issue and tested again to ensure it was fixed. He also realigned the drip pan the other company installed incorrectly and replaced a screw they lost. I will not forget again the nice work Quality Services has done for us both times. Thanks!

I was referred to them by my home warranty company, American Home Shield, to repair my washer that…read morewas making a loud noise and my dryer that was not drying. After weeks of back-and-forth because they do not answer the phone I was able to schedule an appointment for December 24 with a window of 11-2PM. The technician, Jared, called to confirm and say he was on his way just inside that 2 PM window. He immediately (within 15mins) diagnosed my washer as needing a drain pump and my dryer, a blower motor and said he would be back to replace it in about 5 to 7 days. After two weeks of not receiving a phone call, I reached out to Quality Services and AHS. On January 19th, outside of my scheduled appointment window of 9-12pm, Jared returned at 1230pm to replace my drain pump on my washer. He proceeded to replace the drain pump and cut a hole in the my drywall behind my washer unbeknownst to me. He then pushed my washer back to the wall said he was done, but he had to come back because my drain hose was now leaking. Which is weird because I had just used the washer the day before he came. Jared proceeded to state that he was trying to figure out where the leak was coming from to which I replied what leak? He assumed that I had a leak because my baseboards have been removed from my floor and some drywall had been previously repaired behind washer. I immediately told him that that was caused prior to me buying my house and the floors had been replaced. As it turns out the pump was not bad and simply had a bra underwire caught in it which caused the noise and of course I DID NOT HAVE A LEAK, well not until he came and cracked my drain hose! This man left my house and failed to mention he had cut open my wall looking for a leak that I never stated I had. I am now left with a leaking washer and a hole in my drywall that I now have to repair. I have since canceled American Home Shield because I requested a different service company in the first place because these folks do not answer their phone and would call you back with such a nice nasty undertone so I knew they would not be adequate for my needs. I DO NOT RECOMMEND QUALITY SERVICES, as their services are not quality, OR AMERICAN HOME SHIELD, as they do not listen to their only concerned with money!

Universal Appliance Repair's Juan Ortiz came to my home on May 22, 2024. My my 25 cu. ft…read more refrigerator which was still working but not cooling. He said he would order the parts and return. He wrote that on the invoice, "waiting on authorization from warranty to submit parts". I paid him $85.00, per the warranty agreement, and never heard back from him. He never unscrewed any section of the refrigerator to see the interior. The service call lasted less than 5 minutes and he collected $85.00. Mr. Ortiz was not honest with me. He did not inspect the refrigerator to determine the cause of the problem. He knew he would not return to make the repair. He reported to Choice Warranty that my refrigerator was not repairable, which is completely different than what he told me and what he wrote on the invoice I uploaded. The invoice he emailed me later showed zero dollars but my credit card was charged $85.00.

I called Appliance parts , 4754 Almond ave. 75247 and the part is available. So Victor had no intention on repairing my washer. He already had his service call check for 15 minutes work. That must be his modus operandi. I regret calling SBZ and will be sure BBB is aware of this. I suggest everyone not to call SBZ. MMM
