We then were told that there were no credits for usage use less that was ordered . Too bad so Sad... The agent told me that I should not have secured the rental at the beginning and paid when we returned the car... I did not see that as an option. Customer service basically saying to bad ... WE HAVE A POLICY FOR NO RETURNS and screw you customer.

Admittedly, I'm used to large airports where you cruise past the desk, choose a car and go, but this is a smaller place obviously and they probably don't have the inventory to run like that. So yes, there was a bit of a line at the counter but the employees were so pleasant and the line moved quickly. The car they provided was amazing. really really nice. the return process involved checking in with someone at a kiosk outside. A couple in front of us were taking forever arguing about something so it held up the line. If they had two employees checking cars in it would probably be better.

I had a rental pickup in kalispell and drop off in Missoula, I 100% did not cancel my reservation, they had no more cars and told me I was out of luck. I had to rent through another company on same day which costed way more, and since I couldn't choose a different drop off location without it costing over 1000$. I had to drive 2 hours to missoula, rent a car in Missoula, have my brother drive the other car, then return the rental in kalispell, then drive back 2 hours to Missoula to catch the flight in Missoula. First time back at GPIA since the massive remodel and wow does it look great…read more.. We haven't been to Whitefish since 2024 when GPIA was under major construction... We flew in this time and it was like we landed on a different planet. The architects and contractors did amazing job with the new airport... It looks like something out of Yellowstone with Taylor Sheridan's handprints all over it. GPIA has that modern "Montana Cool" feel, eccentric architecture, and is much larger than before. The old GPIA was like flying out of a shack in Alaska (or something), but the new airport is 180 degrees. My only gripe is there are still limited flights in/out of GPIA, especially in the winter months (I'm guessing flights pickup during the summer months, which is peak season). United in their usual United fashion once again had flight planning issues, resulting in delays of morning flights out of GPIA... It ended up screwing us (yet again) with a missed connection, so we had a 7+ hour layover in Denver. When flying out of GPIA, it's suggested taking a late morning or early afternoon flight *particularly* if flying United because there's a high probability of early morning delays (apparently United flight planning hasn't mastered basic/simple mathematics because they certainly do not know how to calculate crew rest time, thus causing flight delays) "or" fly Delta. Nonetheless, the new GPIA looks awesome and is a breeze to get in/out of (as long as you're not flying United Airlines).

Due to a delayed flight, we called the Hertz customer service line to adjust our pickup time. Unfortunately, we were connected to an offshore representative who made changes to our reservation -- including adding an extra day by mistake. When we called back to correct it, we were routed to yet another agent from a different country. This time, the representative canceled our original reservation and rebooked it as a new one, causing the price to double since it was now treated as a same-day booking. We weren't even aware of the price change until we received the updated itinerary after the call had ended. Exhausted, stressed, and with our vacation already off to a rough start, I reached out to the local Hertz office in Kalispell and spoke with Debbie P. Despite being extremely busy (I could hear the crowd at the counter), she took the time to listen, promised to call me back -- and actually did. To our immense relief, she was able to correct the entire situation, restoring our original reservation dates and the rate we had initially booked. When we finally arrived after midnight, we were greeted by Debbie herself at the Hertz desk. After everything we had gone through, seeing her and knowing everything had been fixed was such a huge relief. She may have just been "doing her job," but to us, she turned what could have been a disastrous start to a long-anticipated vacation into a positive and reassuring experience. The customer service I got was great and friendly. My flight came in at 1am and they stayed after hours so I could get the car. I did call two days before to see what could be done. Aside from that CSR walked through the process which I knew well as I rent a fair amount but it was still nice to see a person doing their job well.

We were told before purchasing protection "everything besides windshield is covered." I spoke with an agent on the phone when reporting the flat tire, and she said "the tire is covered since you purchased LDW." I return to the airport to exchange my car and the worker mentions "Well since this is a tire issue, it is not covered under LDW. Don't worry, it will only be a $75 fee." What????? Come to find out, when I receive my receipt, a TIRE PATCH was $365????? A TIRE PATCH?? WHAT? I am fighting this but the company is not being cooperative. Part of my reply says "The customer must've misheard our worker." Uh no. I was told by two different parties. Absolute scam, stay away.

I had an experience that went from bad to great!…read more I flew into GPI from Phoenix gateway yesterday. Nice short flight with good service from the flight crew as usual. I was a little late when I went to pick up my bag at the carousel, as I was in the "necessary" room. As I waited for the duffel, it did not roll out! Finally the carousel stopped and all that was left were a few odd bags. But one looked exactly like mine, same brand, same size, same color, except it had another persons name tag on it! Puzzled, I took a cell phone snapshot of the tag and ticket of the doppelgänger duffel and went to the allegiant counter. A lovely young lady stepped up, I asked if she was with Allegiant, and she claimed to be "Allegiant" herself, which I doubted. She gathered info about my missing bag and passed it to her manger Jo (I'm guessing about the spelling). Jo looked up the manifest and confirmed my bag and the doppelgänger bag were indeed on board. We both surmised the other person took my bag and left his at the carousel. She phoned him. No answer. So I gave her my business card and asked her to call me if anything came up. She asked where I was staying. About 30 miles from the airport in Bigfork, I said. She then turned up the service dial and said "that's on my way home from work! If I find your bag I'll drop it off for you!" Mind Blown, I went away hoping the young lady would help me. She called me an hour later, said she had the bag and promptly delivered my bag to me. Mission accomplished Jo! Thank you for your great service! Y'all work hard over there and are continuing that Montana tradition of neighborliness. "Montana, the biggest small town in the world." But couple that with delayed flights or worse completely canceled flights with no resolution basically makes this airline useless. I've had multiple poor experiences with this airline including canceled flights in the middle of a trip stranded us in unfamiliar locations, poorly communicated policies and very little empathy for stressful situations. I understand travel is expensive but honestly since switching to reputable carriers like Delta, United, Alaska etc and paying more we've yet to have a experience that any of these carriers aren't willing to help fix or even just empathize with the traveler and try there hardest to make it right. Will never travel with allegiant again.
