Admittedly, I'm used to large airports where you cruise past the desk, choose a car and go, but this is a smaller place obviously and they probably don't have the inventory to run like that. So yes, there was a bit of a line at the counter but the employees were so pleasant and the line moved quickly. The car they provided was amazing. really really nice. the return process involved checking in with someone at a kiosk outside. A couple in front of us were taking forever arguing about something so it held up the line. If they had two employees checking cars in it would probably be better.

It's not mismanaged; it's just undersized for the traffic it's pulling. Staff are friendly, security moves quickly, and the overall experience is still solid. But the crowding keeps the terminal from living up to how nice it looks. A comfortable 4 stars--great aesthetics, good service, but the gate congestion is impossible to ignore.

Least amount of walking and barriers to commence a vacation I've ever experienced - which is what prompted me to leave my first airport review. Their TSA Cares service is also top-notch which we utilized for our autistic son.

The customer service I got was great and friendly. My flight came in at 1am and they stayed after hours so I could get the car. I did call two days before to see what could be done. Aside from that CSR walked through the process which I knew well as I rent a fair amount but it was still nice to see a person doing their job well.

Attendant told them where to pack car and took keys but did not give a receipt. LESSON LEARNED. 17 days after trip get contacted by PurCo that Thrifty is now claiming the windshield was cracked when they returned it. It was not. Wouldn't the attendant mentioned it if it was??!! Without photographs, unable to prove it was returned with no windshield damage. $1200!! is a lot of money for 2 young school teachers. These are responsible people now paying $1200 for damage they did not do. Definitely will not rent from Thrifty or Hertz ever again. Will discourage anyone from visiting Glacier International Airport as well.

But couple that with delayed flights or worse completely canceled flights with no resolution basically makes this airline useless. I've had multiple poor experiences with this airline including canceled flights in the middle of a trip stranded us in unfamiliar locations, poorly communicated policies and very little empathy for stressful situations. I understand travel is expensive but honestly since switching to reputable carriers like Delta, United, Alaska etc and paying more we've yet to have a experience that any of these carriers aren't willing to help fix or even just empathize with the traveler and try there hardest to make it right. Will never travel with allegiant again.

Just had my dads funeral and was a bit frazzled. Not only did the supervisor in LAX question us rudely but also asked about our disability in front of other passengers and embarrassed us beyond belief. Needless to say we had to rent a one way car rental and drive 1400 miles home. I don't care that this airline is affordable I will never fly them again because of the unprofessional actions of their employee. Shame on them. I take responsibility for not having my documentation but I did provide it in Montana before flying but the employee in California was just a rude person.

In MT now and rented a truck from them. Called twice to extend, both times the agent politely did so and authorized my card, most recently $756 for another week. The next day they towed the vehicle with all my stuff to a different location 25 mi away. Called the manager who claimed the truck was 3 weeks overdue and she'd been trying to call the whole time, but my phone didn't work. Even after looking at the records, confirming my calls to extend/pay, and acknowledging they transposed two digits when entering my phone number, she refused to return the vehicle. Reminding her I'd paid for another week she said my card was just authorized and wouldn't be charged. Checked my account the next day, $756 charge from Alamo. No receipt closing out the rental and detailing the charges when I returned the key. Agent didn't know anything except to give two garbage bags (my stuff) to a guy bringing in a key. Everything seemed to be there, except the rental agreement, go figure. Stay away from Alamo/National. read more

I said I needed the car ready to roll--the minute they opened-- so I could drive up in time to make my Red Bus tour in the park. He graciously promised that it was no problem to make this happen and had the door open even before their usual 8 a.m. opening time. Awesome! Sure enough the Subaru I rented was perfect and I made the tour time in no time. This Enterprise knows what they are doing and keep their word. Not every location is as good as this one. Last year when my Bug was down, I rented from my local go-to Enterprise, which would forget to pick me up or mess up my order. There was a constant stream of new personnel always learning the ropes here that made me nervous to deal with them. The Kalispell rental office has seasoned pros ready to cater to your every rental need. Also, management trainee Cody was great. He was understanding when I was delayed returning the car when I got lost trying to find them. Normally, I would deduct 1 YELP STAR from the review since this Evergreen location does not accept cash, due to liability reasons. I like to use cash to keep my spending under control when I vacation. But, oh well. Excellent car rental nevertheless.

We kept trying however became concerned driving. After 2 days we went back to Enterprise to ask for another car and the person at the desk, Raphael, told us we were wrong, we didn't know how to drive, there was "no such thing" as low gear. Another person who worked there commented, "I just drive really fast." I explained that we didn't feel safe. By this time there were other people waiting and the two people at the desk finally agreed to rent us a different car. I'm attaching pictures of both cars gears and the proof (sign) that low gear was needed. Awful experience.

Beware! The owner is a man named Don. I called to arrange for a rental for 7/9/15 through…read more7/16/15. Don said he would have the car at the airport, in the public area on the night of 7/8 (when we were to arrive), with the keys above the visor and that he would meet my wife and I at our hotel the next morning to sign the papers. My instructions were to call upon arrival and he would identify the car. This sounded a bit odd but maybe that's the way a small business might do things in a smaller town, like Kalispell. On 7/8 I sent Don a text message with the details of our trip and asked for a confirmation which he did confirm. Our flight was 2 hours late so we arrived at 11:00 PM instead of 9:00 PM. I called Don's number several times but there was no answer. We took a taxi to our hotel, which cost $25.00. The next morning I called Don and he at first seemed a bit out of touch, expecting that we would be arriving the 9th instead of the 8th - so much for the confirmation, I thought to myself. He then went on to tell me how the car had been totaled and his office ransacked, he was having a horrible day, and that he would have to call me in a couple of hours to make arrangements. I told my wife this was beginning to sound like a Country Western song and I was uneasy with the whole thing. I asked the hotel manager what she knew of Practical Rent a Car and she knew nothing. More or less instinctively she called the number for the business and asked where they were located. Don answered and fired back the question "Why do you want to know!" to which she replied "because I have a couple who need a car" Much to our chagrin Don's response was something along the line "I don't appreciate you calling before normal business hours" and hung up. A couple of minutes later Don called me stating he did not appreciate me having somebody call and harass him and that I would have to find a rental somewhere else. My wife, the manager and I sort of looked at each other, a bit bemused, having to admit this something of a memorable incident. At that my wife and I took the opportunity to see some of Kalispell and walked to Enterprise Rentals on the other side of town. I have to give some sort of rating so I'll give Don and Practical Rent a Car one star for originality.

Two days prior to my arrival, I received a call at home in which the manager of the Hertz confirmed with me my reservation and told me that if the train was late they would leave my keys there for me and have me just sign the paperwork and trusted me to leave the paperwork in a box. As we got off the train, I expected there to be no one at the Hertz. But, to my surprise there was a person there waiting for me. As I walk to the counter he knew my name and said that they had been waiting for me to make sure that I received my vehicle. He filled me in on everything in the town and for my trip to Bozeman. I cannot say enough good about these people. They were absolutely wonderful. Five stars!!!
