After trying fish fry at almost every place in the area, the one from Tops is a favorite. We love the batter, the consistency, the quantity, the price, the convenience, and the service. I also trust their cleanliness. As with everything else recently, the prices of a fish fry keep creeping up. That being so, this is one of the most affordable places to get a fish fry. This year, their deal is $22 for two orders of fish fry and a soda.

Went to aldi before the winter storm hit yesterday! Power was out which isn't a big deal but how…read morethe manager Megan spoke to her staff and allowed other customers to treat them was disgusting. She came in because power was out and one of her staff members stated "well today's going to be a 5 star day" (as a joke) to which she replied "well for you it won't be" who talks to their staff like that?! What a disrespectful face to the company. However when I walked in I was greeted by a lovely woman who is the lead store associate Londin Love and she expressed apology that the freezer section was closed because of lack of power and running on back up generator. I didn't care even tho most of my list was in the freezer and refrigerator section because these things aren't in their control when a storm knocks out their power! But Londin Love deserves to be the new manager of the store and Megan needs to be kicked to the curb! Megan did not care how her employees were treated or talked to by upset customers who wanted things from the refrigerator or freezer section. Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

We ended up getting Buffalo chicken sausage and beef on weck sausages, both were great. Also got a stuffed hot pepper thing which was awesome, and Allen burgers which we didn't try yet. The grocery store also has many unique items like locally made foods and specialty goods. They had a ton of employees working which was great because everything moved fast. I highly recommend visiting if you're a foodie!

Their sausage special this week was taco sausage for $2.99 a lb. So I had to try it.... Real good. The store is always crowded but you can get fast service at the meat, deli and cashiers. Parking lot is small but people are in and out so fast that I've never had a problem getting a space. The store is kinda small and located right in the middle of a neighborhood. Their homemade Polish sausage is so good, reminds me of my childhood. Cold cuts are sliced per order and better prices than any chain grocery store. I recommend the drive if you have never been there.
