This is the first Walmart we visited while from Canada. The Walmart was huge just like Walmart super centres here in Canada. But this particular location was pretty messy. Everything looked disorganized. There were so many unpacked cartoon in the aisles making it very hard to walk. Also the aisles were really narrow as compared to Canada as the place was super stocked. We went to buy milk and fruit which we found easily. Used self service machine and was surprised there were free paper grocery bags at checkout which we dont have in Canada. Trust the reviews. This store is in rough shape. Not physically, but managerial. Inventory stock #s often wrong. Employees hard to find. But worst of all, it takes upwards of an HOUR for a curbside pickup order to be brought out. If you're not going to staff sufficiently for pickup orders, at least let us go inside to pick up like a few years ago. read more

I ordered one shower chair and they sent five. I am trying to have the five chairs picked up and sent back to Walmart with no success. The chair manufacture company does not take returns. printed on the label is the where to send the returns. I have been trying to get help but no answer yet. I come to this Walmart when the Walmart on Sheridan doesn't have something I'm looking for. So not very often. But I was out here recently looking for a very specific cleaning product, and they actually had it in a well organized aisle. Overall this Walmart tends to not be quite as busy as the one on Sheridan. But that's probably because it's not in the middle of a busy residential area. Overall at Walmart, and it's fine. I'm not sure why this location has parking for pick up order Because when you go to park in one of the designated spots, it is already filled buying an empty car??? Maybe I'm just not familiar with their system, but I often place orders online and then go to the location to pick some up. I've done this at other Walmarts as well as other stores and normally I can just pull into a spot notify the store that I'm there and they bring my items out. This is at least the third time that I've come to the Walden Store location, and I am unable to use those spots because they are already filled with cars when I go into the store to now try to receive my order. I'm told I cannot do that which is really weird if I cannot pull into a designated parking spot and I cannot go into the store to pick my items up, how am I to get them??? so I then have to make a compromise which is bring my car to their pick up door and then they will bring the things out weird right !!!! and when I asked, why do they allow this they say there is nothing they can do about it and that the Cheektowaga police don't issue tickets ??? It's Walmart...a good place to shop for good prices, especially when buying clothes for my granddaughter who grows so quickly. It is a bit messy in places but we usually find what we need. Some of the employees are helpful but others are rude. We went before March 1st and this place had no bags and when we were doing the self check out there were no re-usable bags around to even buy. If you come here to buy water, you're in the wrong store. Should have gone to Well-mart. I always want to give Walmart a one-star but I usually find things that I can't find Elsewhere for ridiculously cheap prices and so I end up giving them two or three. This one really is a 1 *. Literally every time I come here to get something it is either sold out or they just don't have it at all. Service is bad and the stock is really limited and the parking lot is terrible and I could not think of a more one-star Walmart than this Walmart which is ironically pretty new. I was hit on in the parking lot of this Walmart just tonight actually (the night I wrote this review) by a huge guy. Using my Walmart app, I found several clothing items for a dollar, pick up a few food items

I regularly purchase groceries via Walmart pick-up at the Transit Clarence store. But recently we decided to try the new W+ delivery service trial. Walmart's W+ subscription includes free home delivery of groceries for any order over $35. At $98 for the year's subscription, so under $10 a month, this was a good value for my family for the added convenience of having our groceries delivered right to our door for a reasonable fee. Well, a reasonable fee is only reasonable if the service actually occurs. And for us, it did not occur at all. I placed my grocery order and scheduled a time slot for my selected day of 1pm - 2pm. With W+, you do not get to pick which store your groceries come from. The Cheektowaga store is the closest distance to our home, so our groceries were to come from here. On the day of our delivery, I could see online that our order was being prepared, as expected. But when 1pm came around, and our order was still being prepared when it was supposed to be delivered, I started to worry. I waited until about 2:30pm, at which time our order was still marked as being prepared, and had not been delivered. A half hour late, not a big deal since we were home all day. But an update in the online status would have been nice. I chatted with customer service on the Walmart website, and they informed me the delivery driver had not shown up yet, but the store was working on the issue and getting another driver. Okay, fine, in this day and age, these things happen. I waited until about 4:30pm, still no sign of our groceries, and the online status had not changed from preparing order. I chatted with online customer service again. They apologized, said the same thing was still happening, no driver, and offered me a $10 credit. Okay, fine, thank you. And so we waited some more. By after 6:30pm, when our groceries were supposed to be delivered by 2pm, I was officially irked. I chatted with the online customer service again, and asked if they could guarantee our groceries would be delivered sometime today. He said no, and that the drivers are unreliable. He also said the drivers are not Walmart employees, but an outsourced service, so Walmart should not be to blame for the delay. Ummmmm, nope!!! Walmart can be blamed for partnering with an unreliable service. And Walmart can be blamed for selling a subscription to a service you cannot provide. And Walmart can be blamed for not updating the online order status to keep the customer in the loop if an issue should arise. And Walmart can be blamed for overselling their delivery service, offering countless delivery slots, when you can't even find a driver for one slot! And this Cheektowaga Walmart location can be blamed for not calling customer whose groceries were going to be significantly delayed. And this Cheektowaga Walmart location can be blamed for not picking up the phone, when I tried to call the store directly after hours of waiting, and it just rang, and rang, and rang ... Yes, sure, I understand we are living in unprecedented times, and staff shortages are very common, and people are calling in sick, and coverage is hard to find. To that I say Walmart could have been waaayyyyyyy more realistic in rolling out the W+ service. Why not only deliver a few days a week, and offer less timeslots, if you don't have reliable drivers to cover every hour of the day, every day of the week? I would rather have less flexibility with the delivery timeslots, but more assurance that I will actually get my groceries. The final Walmart customer service representative I chatted with online cancelled my grocery delivery order, and cancelled my W+ trial subscription. One saving grace was my large grocery order was easy enough to re-add to my online cart, and schedule for pick up at my preferred Transit Clarence Walmart location. I was looking forward to saving the time from grocery pick-ups, but until W+ improves their service, and this Cheektowaga store gets better at communicating updates and issues with customers, I'll sacrifice the time to make sure I get our groceries as expected. Transit Clarence Walmart is very reliable with pick-ups, so I'll stick with that. read more

This Walmart Supercenter is located on the north side of Walden Avenue between Union and Dick Road just east of the Walden Galleria Mall. There used to be another Walmart on the west side of the I-90 not that long ago but it seems they now have this new Supercenter to replace that old site. This place is huge! Supercenters are basically like anything and everything type of stores. What makes them "Super" as opposed to just the original plain Walmarts is that they have a full blown grocery store attached. There's also a garden center in addition to the pharmacy, electronics, house wares, furniture, sporting gear, hardware, automotive, clothing and so and and so on. This new EVERYTHING store has it all including enough parking to accommodate the amount of employees and customers that will be inside this place at any given time. The fact that this place is very close to the Galleria makes it easy for Canadians who are going shopping to pop in here and drop another several hundred dollars on anything and everything. Besides designer or specialty items, this store will have most of your everyday items under one roof including beer and wine which are not as easily accessible in Pennsylvania. I like the new store, the convenient location (close to interstate and Galleria), selection, parking and prices. read more

3 stars for Walmart and 5 stars today because the cashier was really cool and gave me advice on how to care for my plant babies. I don't have a green thumb so I try and try as I might but my plants eventually die. It may be four years later or 6 months. I just don't know what I'm doing well enough to keep it going on a consistent basis. So anywho. I got a few for different rooms in the house. I will leave no plant lonely. There will be at least two in each space. I got some large foliage and aloe vera which I hope to grow big and tall and strong, as I use for medicinally. I also got some others that I need to tag in a picture. There weren't as many choices at this location as I'd hoped for considering I'm in the area. For that I'd give Walmart a three, plus several plants looked to be dying. That's too much for a non green thumbed. I'd like to get them healthy and whole and go from there. I do love plants. I talk to them as I groom and feed them. I say good morning and the such. Call me weird for that. I don't mind. I'll be a weirdo but it makes me happy. No plant purchased was over $17.00. the most costly I saw was $19.99. so for cost effectiveness I guess it's a good place to shop. But as for quality, uhmmm noo they could do much better. Even though I said I was not going to go back to this store, I did. We were driving by and didn't need much. Being a Saturday afternoon it was crowded. What can you say about Wal-Mart really? As many people I hear they hate Wal-Marts, they all seem busy! Especially their Walden Ave. location. There's times it's super crazy and people are so rude. Ex: crossing to get into the store without getting ran over. The one major downfall to the Walden location, is if you're disabled like myself and scone of the motorized shopping scooters. They are tough to find here. 85% of the time I go here I have to wait 5 - 10 minutes for someone to get done with one. Then I usually have to follow the person out like I'm stalking them to get it, before someone else snags it from me. Whats even more irritating is when the staff don't plug them in for recharging. Numerous times I've been midway through the store and have one start to die on me. Then you panic to make it up front with your full cart hoping there is another one charged! It truly sucks to have to move all your cart contents from one to another! read more

I will never go to this location again, every time I go there's another issue...first the clerks wouldn't bag your groceries, then they decided not to have cashiers before 9 AM. I usually make my monthly Walmart runs at 6 or 7 am and buy A LOT of stuff, I'm disabled so I find bagging my own purchases or checking myself out extremely inconvenient. Fun fact #1 - when you approach this Walmart, a sign at the Optometrist's office says to "enter from inside the Eye Center." Fun fact #2 - when you walk inside to the Eye Center, there's a door at the back that says "Optometrist." Fun fact #3 - when we walked to that door, a woman devoid of any concept of customer service screamed at us as if we had wandered into a bank vault. When we told her we were trying to make an appointment, she jiggled and jumped angrily until her face was quite red and pointed us to another desk. WORST WALMART IN WNY. If I could leave 0 stars I would! Came here about 2 weeks ago for a coffee maker, after looking around I came across A WHOLE ENDCAP display of about 20 Mr. Coffee makers that were being advertised for $17.88. We brought it to the register and it rang up for $19.66. So we asked the cashier to check the price and he calls a manager over (if I still had the receipt I would leave his name). This manager immediately searches the same coffee maker on Walmart's website and tells us that it's out of stock online and apparently that means he had to charge us full price. So he disappears for legit 8 minutes to find the display. He was gone so long to the point where our cashier was trying to find a different manager. The same manager comes strolling up and is still insisting that just because it's out of stock online means you have to pay full price in the store? Even if it's on a sale display!? So the kicker is unfortunately I returned here today, 2 weeks later, for 2 items and I walk by the coffee pots & THEY STILL ARE ADVERTISING IT FOR $17.88. When I was waiting in electronics the employee I saw was helping someone browsing phones. I asked the employee if anyone else was working and he said that the other employee was busy which he was. As I waited the original employee who was helping someone with the phone brought customer to counter and customer walked away instead of helping me and moved onto someone else and the other employee finished with their customer and moved onto someone else. I was buying 3 watch bands I knew exactly what I wanted within 2 minutes of walking in electronics and was blown off by the first employee and had to wait till the other one was done with a different customer who came up after me. They only cared about which product people were buying not who would be quicker or knew what they wanted or who was serious. My guess is they make commissions on phones and certain products. I'd rather buy off Amazon and not be treated like what I bought was not important and wait around and feel like I'm a bother because I am spending $30. read more

The grocery section is large, and includes fresh vegetables/ fruits, a bakery, meat section, canned goods, snack foods, juice, pop, beer, baking, spices, and sides. They have a baby section with clothing, food, shampoos and care items, as well as toys, and feeding supplies. There is a home improvement section, car care, beauty, and a pharmacy.
