Kwik Trip is really a convenience store with fresh food, hot food cooked in the store and the famous take and bake pizza. They have food specials all the time and the $1 rip off Mc Rib was on when I stopped by. The bath rooms are usually clean compared to other gas stations which I like. I gassed up and had all my needs meet which is why I like Kwik Trip. One of the special today was the 12 oz 99 cent Frappes which sounds good but not my cup of tea, they always specials which is why people like the place. The $2.99 ground chuck beef and bun special was still going on which is a good deal.

The City doesn't seem to care I think, as they don't' seem to do any repair. I try to avoid the City for this reason. And there isn't much there for me as far as shopping. Haven't found any good food myself. I don't eat in Columbus, for the reason stated above. The local merchants loss.. The only thing worth seeing, in my opinion is the Antique Mall. Other stores in town have antiques, but never seem to be open! Fun to window shop, but the windows haven't changed in the entire time I've been here, I think. Better call first. The Amtrak Holiday Train stops here. The train offers locals to contribute food to the food panty in town. Google it! A great experience! People also seem to enjoy the Fireman's Park events.

I have done two moves recently: one with Badger Bros and one with Two Men and a Truck. Each company…read moremoved about the same volume between the same locations. The difference was astounding. Badger Bros was cheaper, but it showed. They barely wrapped furniture (one or two passes) and damaged several pieces. They also deposited boxes randomly, even though all boxes were labeled and color-coded for location; we are still finding boxes coded for the attic in the basement (or vice versa), which we then have to haul up or down multiple flights of stairs. Two Men literally cocooned our belongings (not a scratch!) and put everything where it belonged. They were highly professional, efficient, and lived up to their motto, "movers who care."

I've been having foot pain so I was seen by a foot doctor. He said that I need new shoes with a…read morewide toe box. I tried several different brands of shoes from Amazon but nothing felt right. Friends that were born and raised in the Mauston area all told me you got to go to Rays Shoes. They are professionals Stop dealing with junk from Amazon. So I went to Rays I explained that my doctor said I need shoes with a wide toe box. The lady told me that wide toe box was just a selling thing that 2 E , 3 E and 4 E wide was pretty much the same thing. I tried several different pairs and settled on a pair that I thought was right. After a couple days I was getting blisters and returned. This time I talked with the owner. She said that the shoes I have are not wide toe box she possibly could help them if they were stretched but no returns. Stretching only slightly helped them I guess I'll have to save these for occasional wearing I can't afford to toss them with $140. Invested Back to Amazon searching for a better fit. At least Amazon allows returns
